Determination of modal characteristics of composite wings using FEM
Churý, Tomáš ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Šplíchal, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the creation of a detail FEM model all-composite wing of glider. Reduction created FEM model of the beam model. The models are calculated natural frequencies, vibration shapes wings and then subsequently compared the results of analyzes of both models.
Tail units design of VUT 100 aircraft made out composite
Berka, Martin ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Mališ, Michal (advisor)
This Master´s thesis describes the design of composite horizontal tail of VUT 100 aircraft. Load calculation and selection of the critical load cases is performed. Internal structure of stabilizer and right elevator is designed. Construction materials are chosen and the structure of the composite materials is proposed. FEM models of stabilizer and the right elevator are created in MSC Patran system and consequently the strength test of the models for the selected load cases is executed using MSC Nastran software and COMPOST.

Designe of a control system for powered sailplane SONG
Cejpek, Jakub ; Šplíchal, Jan (referee) ; Mališ, Michal (advisor)
The objective of this work is to adopt and further expand the type design of the SONG motor glider. The study will result in the basic aerodynamic calculation and the design of lateral control system including structural strength inspection of selected parts. Subsequently, the proposal will allow for further calculation to be made (of flight mechanics, wings strength or fuselage and empennage firmness) and for more specific constructional design of individual components of the glider.
Progressive Failure Analysis of Composite Material using Finite Element Methods
Častulík, Lubomír ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Mališ, Michal (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of progressive failure analysis of layered composite plates. Firstly, there is a theoretical introduction to the mechanics of composite materials. Then the thesis deals with types of mechanisms of failure, including failure criteria, which can be used for their mathematical description. After that, there is presented necessary theory to understand an iteration calculation of progressive failure of laminates. Finally an application of gained knowledge to analysis of model sample for pulling test. This analysis was performed using MSC Patran/Nastran softwares.
Development of rocket engines
Marcinko, Peter ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Koštial, Rostislav (advisor)
This thesis describes the development of rocket engines since the beginning to present time. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first describes the main physical principles, which have to be respected during the flight. The second part talks about the basic division of rocket engines and the used fuel types. Tle last chapter deals with Russian, American and European rocket program. It describes the main types of space rockets together with the engines they used.

Survey of the Space Rocketplanes Development
Kapoun, Tomáš ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Daněk, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis maps the historical and technical development of space shuttles from their inception to the present. In the introduction shuttles are divided into categories and then the reasons of formation of these machines are described. The second part deals with the development itself has various designs and not only the USA and the USSR, but describes the Space Shuttle in Europe and Japan. The penultimate chapter describes two tragic accidents USA Shuttles and their causes. The last part of this work is the conclusion with the intended development of astronautics in the near future.
Aerodynamic characteristics of airfoils
Foltýn, Pavel ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Koutník, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis describes an influence of geometric characteristics of an airfoil on its aerodynamic properties. The first part of the thesis defines airfoil, describes its geometric characteristics, emergence of aerodynamic forces and convection around airfoil. The second part deals with influence of profile geometry on aerodynamic properties of airfoils. It is shown on NACA four and six digit profiles, in their buoyancy and moment lines and polars. The last part deals with wind tunnels and measurement in them. The thesis focuses on forces and moments measurement by force balances and static and total pressure measurement. Velocity measurement is focused on the laser Doppler velocimetry, on the hot-wire velocity probe and PIV method. Very briefly selected flow visualization methods are shown there. Comparison of profile characteristic obtained by measuring in wind tunnels and numerical simulation in Xfoil program is also shown there.
Rocket Engine Design
Cejpek, Jakub ; Konečný,, Pavel (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The objective of this study is to design a solid rocket fuel engine with sufficient power to propel 500 grams to 1500 meters of altitude. Furthermore to draft a design of a rocket that will utilize this category of solid rocket fuel engine. This study will begin with a theoretical exploration of the means to formulate the correct propellant closest to the theoretical solid rocket fuel formula. This section of the exploration will exclude the construction materials, technology, and the propellant availability. After the theoretical exploration the calculations will continue, respecting the availability of construction materials, technology, and the propellant; to investigate the means to formulate the correct propellant closest to the theoretical formula. Then, according to the new propellant formulation, re-design the engine.
