Information System for a Language School
Sikora, Martin ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to design and implement an information system for a language school, which will replace the existing data processing in Microsoft Excel tables. The system will work with language school's data like courses, translation, staff, books, customers and makes management work easier. The most of the processes will be accelerated or automated. It will also notify management for upcoming translations' deadlines or employees' ending contracts.
Personal GPS Track Database
Šrubařová, Daniela ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to design and implement an application serving as a database of routes recorded by GPS devices and for purposes of personal use in sport activities such as cycling and running. Proces of both design and implementation is described. The resulting application is capable of processing the files containing data in GPX format. These records can be visualised with support provided by Google maps service. All the useful information about routes is well-aranged and displayed to the user. The application computes statistics for a chosen period of time and provides graphs of elevation profile for selected route. Implemented system for the route management has been continuously tested by volunteers and thus became user-friendly with intuitive user interface.
Information System Database Layer with an Application Interface
Špaček, Jakub ; Milička, Martin (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis is a part of a student project called Yumified. It is a mobile application that allows users to rate melas in catering facilities. The users can also browse all the ratings. The thesis describes the design and implementation of an application interface and a database that serve to collect, store and provide the related information. For this purpose, we use the REST application interface, Symfony PHP framework and the Doctrine library for high-level database access.
Web-Based GPS Data Management System in a Cloud Environment
Kasala, Viliam ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis focuses on development of web-based GPS data management system in a cloud environment. The thesis introduces the most used application interfaces for building custom mapping applications. It offers a comparison of cloud platforms such as Google App Engine and OpenShift Online. It also deals with the design and the implementation of system for OpenShift Online platform. The system focuses on importing tracks from GPX format, managing tracks, viewing tracks on map tiles from Mapy.cz, searching for tracks, creating an elevation profile and various statistics.
Optimizer for Exam Scheduling at the FIT
Paulík, Miroslav ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Kolář, Dušan (advisor)
This paper describes automated examination scheduling for the Faculty of Information Technology of Brno University of Technology. It specifies a list of restrictions that must by satisfied. Furthermore, this limitations are classified due to their influence on a quality of the final version of the examination schedule. There are two types of restrictions; soft and hard. The task is to find such a solution that satisfies all hard constraints and breaks the minimum of soft constraints using techniques described in this paper.
Analysis and Prediction from GPS Data
Kováčik, Dušan ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This paper deals with the analysis of the collected GPS data and the possibility of the prediction of most advantageous route on its basis, by the application written in the PHP scripting language. The suitability of the route is considered by the distance, driving time, or elevation. The thesis also describes a GPS system, the format of the source data and their storing in an appropriate database. There is also a description of the search of the shortest path in the graph and some famous algorithms for finding it. The paper includes information about implementation of new data integration and path finding within this data in PHP scripting language. In conclusion it is evaluated what are the benefits of this application and design saying how this application can be improved in the future.
Analysis of Data on Social Networks Based on Data Mining
Sedlák, Jan ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with data mining on social networks. It introduces data mining itself and its utilization on data analysis on social networking services. It analyses APIs of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and GitHub with respect to data mining. It presents implementation of application for downloading dataset from GitHub and it deals with experiments with obtained dataset. Finally, it introduces design and implementation of application that analyses future project activity.
Social Network for Team Sports
Adam, Ivo ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This master thesis deals with development of a social network for organizing amateurish matches in collective sports. It is implemented in JavaScript. Client side is written in AngularJS framework. Server side is built on Node.js platform, uses framework Express and NoSQL database MongoDB. Resources stored on server are accessible via REST API. The social network integrates some plugins from existing social networks. For example login dialog or share buttons. The created application supports web browsers Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer version 10 or higher.
