Modern methods of management development

Diploma thesis addresses the issue of the management development and modern methods of development. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the main trends and changes in development in the last decade and identify key needs in this area. Another aim is to compare the needs of the current range of management development on the Czech market and based on international best practice to design new development opportunities. The theoretical part includes current trends and needs in the management development and practical part examines the market situation resting on qualitative research. Based on qualitative research in thesis proposes appropriate solutions for management development according to modern international approaches.
Barriers of the heutagogical approach in the corporate education in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the modern development method, heutagogy. Heutagogy can also be described as self-dtermined learning or learning based on inner motivation. The idea of heutagogy was first published by Stewart Hase and Chris Kenyon in 2000. The thesis deals with the current situation in the market of corporate education in the Czech Republic, analyzes the use of heutagogical principles among the suppliers of corporate education in the Czech Republic and defines key barriers that limits use of this approach in the Czech Republic. Therefore qualitative research among the top suppliers of the corporate education was done.
Socioekonomické souvislosti farmaceutického průmyslu

The introductory part of the diploma thesis deals with the concept of health and the factors that influence it. The aim is to grasp the effect of socioeconomic status on the health and to analyze complementary and alternative medicines. The specificity of the health market, the expenditures on the health service, subjects which finance a health care, the state health policy focusing on drug policy and pharmacoeconomic are remarked. The paper also refers to the history of drugs and medicines, their consumption and development in conjunction with pharmacoeconomic. Marketing mix in terms of pharmacy describes the product (i.e. a drug) and its life cycle, the price and price control in the Czech Republic, distribution and promotion associated with advertising. The practical part of the master's thesis specifically shows marketing, innovation, science and research in pharmacy. The examples illustrate the corruption problems and difficulty of fighting against them. The information about the two large pharmaceutical or medical manufacturers are summarized at the end of this thesis.
Comparative analysis of management of selected entities in the time of economic recession

The aim of my thesis is in the first place to show the origin of American mortgage crisis, the impact of (from that implying) financial crisis on affected countries in Europe. In the second place, the aim is to analyze two selected companies that have managed to get over the financial crisis in different way in order to find out (mainly based on financial statements) the reason of financial instability, regarding the managerial decisions of the first company, and the reason of further development in case of the second one. In the first chapter of this thesis I am describing the historically well-known financial crisis focusing on 2007 American mortgage crisis and its gradual spread into European countries, including the Czech Republic. The second chapter is dedicated to methodological background of financial analysis which I am using in the practical part. The Practical part itself consists of financial statement analysis of two construction companies in order to show the differences in the financial management. The fourth chapter includes also non-financial ratios as the input variables of the overall analysis.
The use of social networks potential in promotion products and services

This thesis deals with the topic of social media, more specifically social network websites and their potential use for marketing purposes at the Czech market. The aim of this thesis is to prove that social network sites are an ideal place to build a relationship with customers, however, they are less suitable for selling products. The main contribution of this work is in assessing the social network site with the greatest potential for building relationships (Facebook) and further in deciding whether its potential for selling products and services directly from the site might have any significance for companies. The theoretical section includes comprehensive definitions and insights necessary for better understanding of the principles of social media environment. The analytical section compares selected social network sites and by using quantitative research methods analyzes the appropriateness of one of them -- Facebook - as sales or communication channel. In the last section I will be trying to suggest an improvement in social network communication.
Analysing and setting up optimization of the Internet business model NS Svoboda Ltd.

Aim of the master's thesis is to show businessmen possibilities, offered by Internet, of developing and searching for new distribution channels to increase sales and awareness of their companies and products. Internet is a great phenomenon. Its importance is going to increase. This development brings the growth of social network, that is going to become important means of expanding promotion and a powerful distribution channel. Unfortunately due to the speed of the present time, TV and other media the traditional means of promotion is not able to keep up with the advantages, brought by Internet commercial. The advantage and positive of the network is possibility of sharp aiming at a certain group of interest. Taxes of small and medium firms make a significant part of state incomes. Firms try to minimalize invested costs to be able to survive. Mostly the costs are connected with commercial. Thanks to Internet it is possible to nullify this aspect.
Quality of customer care in B2C in FMCG in the Czech republic

The diploma thesis describes current situation of customer care in FMCG with focus on supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The thesis is based on research of customer satisfaction with current situation and proposal for improvement. Proposal is described in theoretical way and suppported by implementation on the concrete company.
Evalution of the business model of new product Lifelink

The objective of this thesis is to verify the business model of a new product introduced by a newly founded company named Lifelink s.r.o. and its product of the same name. The thesis is conceived as a recommendation for the investor whether to accept or decline an investment in the project. The paper should also serve as an estimate of the profitability of the project and its value to the investor. The thesis is based on utilization of theoretical and practical knowledge gained during my studies and its application in introduction of a new product. The thesis is divided into four parts, where the first part represents the introduction containing the description, objectives and methods of the thesis. The second part contains the methodology which is going to be used in the third part. This part represents the application of the methodoly presented earlier and its core is a feasibility study expended by the specifics of a business model evaluation. The conclusion contains the recommendation for the investor based on calculated net present value and economic value of the project which incorporate all findings from the third part of the thesis.
Business plan for healthy eating

The aim of this work is to create a business plan for fast and healthy eating. The business plan will compete with restaurants that offer a bold and difficult to digest food. It will also offer customers additional products and services within a healthy lifestyle, such as cooking classes and food sales. Based on market analysis, competitive mapping and understanding the needs of potential customers is created by manufacturing, marketing and financial plan. The work also focuses on thorough SWOT analysis, through which can be defined strengths and weaknesses and threats and opportunities that may come from the external environment.
Business plan - biofuel production

The main objective of this thesis Business plan - biofuel production is to create a business plan to establish a company to produce wood pellets close to Čáslav and testing the viability of this business plan. The theoretical part focuses on the specifies of small and medium enterprises and the principles of processing a business plan. At the end of the theoretical part are described the methods for assessing project success. In the practical part is already prepared a business plan itself, with all the essentials that business plan should include.
