Ethnic Attitudes toward Romani Ethnicum

The thesis studies the topic of ethnic attitudes towards Romani. In the theoretical part, the author focuses on attitudes and their components with a special focus on implicit and explicit attitudes. In relation to these categories, models, techniques of measurement and their mutual relationship are introduced in this part. Furthermore, stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination are also thoroughly described. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on rasism and its manifestations and authoritarianism. Romani ethnicum is characterized together with stereotypes that are connected with them. The relationship between Romani and Czech majority is described. In the empirical part, the implicit and explicit attitudes toward Romani were investigated among 86 respondents in the first research using direct and indirect techniques. Five out of seven main hypotheses were confirmed and two research questions were answered. In the second research, the implicit attitude toward Romani was examined with the use of indirect measurement technique. The attitude was put into the context with the theory of social dominance among 110 respondents. One of two hypotheses was confirmed. The conclusions are discussed in great detail in the thesis.

Předmětem dílčí zprávy za rok 2002 jsou porostní typy hospodářského souboru 55 (svěžích a bohatých jedlových bučin). Postupnými kroky byly zpracovány následující části: 1. analýza dynamiky dílčích funkčních potenciálů dle porostních typů HS 55, 2. věcná náplň rámcových směrnic hospodaření pro polyfunkční (ve staré terminologii hospodářský) les včetně diferencovaných funkcí, 4. analýza současného zastoupení deklarovaných funkcí HS 55, 5. modelové těžebně-dopravní technologie včetně přímých nákladů na odvozním místě.

Koncepce projektu vychází z exaktních stanovení funkčních potenciálů lesů, jejich reálných efektů a dopadů na efekty celospolečenských funkcí. Postup řešení: stanovištní a kriteriální determinace, systémové interakce biometrických dat, reálné potenciály a efekty funkcí, synergie v aktuálním stavu lesů, věcná predikce systémových lesnických opatření, modifikace polyfukčních lesnických hospodářských intervencí,dopady na společenské funkční požadavky. Využití projektu pro podklady pro koncepci funkčně integrovaného hospodaření s důkazy národohospodářskými a lesopolitickými, metody hospodaření, díla lesního hospodářského plánování, podklady nové kategorizace lesů, konkrétní řešení pro modelový hospodářský soubor a vybrané porostní typy. Součástí zprávy jsou rámcové směrnice ve dvou variantách.

Theatre and iIlusion

The thesis explores different meanings of the illusion in theatrical context in the past and searches how to define this effect. It compares definitions in classic resources (Fureti?re, Marmontel, D?Aubignac, Stendhal, Hugo etc.) as well as in contemporary dictionaries (Pavis, Corvin) and asks a question if an illusion as a false appearance of reality (in so far the spectator forgets he is in the theatre or takes the watched performance or its part for a real event) is possible. The study affirms such an illusion is excluded in essence, except for occurrences when the theatre-goer is unable to distinguish between the intentional and unintentional potency included in the artwork (according to Mukařovský) or between the technical and image aspect of the work (according to Zich) or he does not discern a model from the original (according to Osolsobě), i.e. he does not identify the theatre as such. Author quotes some concrete (feinted or real) examples of an irruption of ?extra-theatrical reality? into a running show. Main part is consecrated to the analysis of the illusion as in-play (i-llusio), i.e. creation of a ?ludic reality?, framework of a game which theatre-goers may join. Author considers this playful, ludic aspect, contained in the root of the word ?illusion?, as the most important and vital thing related to matters of the theatre illusion. It is necessary to think over possibilities how to involve spectators in such a game (play) and consequences of these attempts. Effects of theatralisation, once considered as anti-illusive effects, are very close to it (today we can look at them as on a small part of rich theatrical conventions).
