Geology of Golden mountains
Buryánková, Radka ; Andreska, Jan (referee) ; Teodoridis, Vasilis (advisor)
This bachelor work is summary of the available geology and mineralogy information on geology and mineralogy of Golden mountains area. Rychleby Mountains are situated in the north of Moravia and Silesia. The mountain belongs to the Lusatian (lugikum) and the Silesian region (moravosilesikum) from the regional geological division of the Bohemian Massif. There isn't uniform view at a more detailed breakdown of the studied area (see e. g. Pouba 1962; Kachlík 2003). However representation of rocks of different age and character in all sub-units Golden Mountains are very varied. Highly metamorphosed rocks of Proterozoic age are among the most common rocks of this area. Dating all the rocks in whole region is problematic due to the high degree of metamorphism and the absence of fossils. From the mineralogical point of view is best explored Silesian part of Golden Mountains with the remains of a large number of mines and quarries in the crystalline limestone, deposits of iron ore, graphite and uranium.
Usage of Průhonice park in education
Šlajerová, Jana ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee) ; Andreska, Jan (advisor)
We live in modem times, when everyone is rushing somewhere, and everything you try to lighten it. Today's children are actually at a disadvantage. A large number of techniques are slowly but surely moving away naturally. Because children are our future, it is important to obtain valuable to nature and holistic relationship than from the Internet or television. Because today's children have great opportunities to obtain information from the media, but the real nature are somewhat lost, I decided to create worksheets for primary and secondary schools, as an example of how this beautiful and natural place to use the rich. I decided to see how schools around the Pruhonice Park, and how to actually put to use this park. Pruhonice Park is a charming place near the capital city of Prague. It is a place full of natural wealth and beauty that can not leave unnoticed.
Ethymology of fish designations in Czech and in east Slavonic languages
Pankina, Jevgenija ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee) ; Andreska, Jan (advisor)
This diploma work deals with ethymology of fish designations in Czech and in east Slavonic languages. The designations'origin in each of these languages is explained according to its definition in Czech and Russian ethymological dictionaries. The definition is completed by a large amount of other sources focused on this issue. Every item is compared in both languages and if the found information allows, a conclusion from the comparison is drawn. The work is devided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with the role of the Slavonic languages within the Indoeuropean language family and the historical evolution of the picked Slavonic languages. The second chapter deals with the designation of particular freshwater-fish tribes and geni in the abovementioned languages. It is devided in two parts. The first one focuses on the designation of fish with homogenous origin, the second one focuses on the designations with hererogenous origin. The third chapter consists of columnal lists which create the so-called comparative dictionary. Each columnal list includes comments focused on the description of geographical fish habitation in the past compared to the present time.
Barn owl occurence in the Kalsbad region and analysis of its pellets
Koudelková, Lucie ; Řezníček, Jan (referee) ; Andreska, Jan (advisor)
The submitted thesis deals with several topics. First part is aimed at the Barn Owl occurrence in the Karlsbad region and in districts of Sokolov and Cheb in particular. Mapping of the owl occurrences is based on detailed survey of the presumed habitats, e.g. on the investigation of various activity indicators in a studied area. This bird has not been observed in the Sokolov and Cheb districts since 1998. My research demonstrates that Barn Owl is occurring in the Sokolov and Cheb districts again. Next part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the Barn Owl pellets found at the roosting places. In another part, analysis of the diet spectrum of the Barn Owl is submitted. Yet another part presents results of the Barn Owl diet composition based on the pellet analysis. The species of small mammals in Barn Owl pellets were determined according to their skeletal remnants. Analysis of the Barn Owl pellets in the studied area shows that the dominat species in the Barn Owl diet is Common Vole (Microtus arvalis) and subdominant species are the species of the family Shrews (Sorex sp., Crocidura sp., Neomys sp).
Biggest angled fishes in the Czech Republic within years 1987 - 2008
Goldstein, David ; Hanel, Lubomír (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
The following bachelor work is dealing with prime catches of fishes in the Czech Republic. The prime catches from the last period (1987 - 2008) had been filed and analysed and these results enriched the previous knowledges about growth potential of those fish species which are attractive in angling. The evaluation concerned thirty one fish species. The biggest catch, in the last two decades, isn't very different from the maximum size of the same species in the last period. The Czech Republic is significant with their prime catches, especially sheatfish, pike, carp and pike - perch. Slapská reservoir, Sázava river and Želivka reservior are the most significant places for the prime catches in Podblanicko region (south part of central Bohemia).
Didactics use of Rokytka river-basin
Kapr, Jakub ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
We live in the age of new discoveries and modern technologies and the education should not run behind the dynamic development of modern society as well. It should suit to actual trends and try to aplicate them to the education processes. In my thesis I deal with a lot of possibilities how to applicate modern technologies to the education of biology and how to use it during the pupil's home preparation. On the basis of student's attitude to the new technologies I made a material which combines the education in landscape with active multimedial preparation. Practically, I tested the colective work with this material, then I combined the gained knowledges with demostrative possibilities of the stream Rokytka. On the basis of these immediate knowledges I made a material which should lead the pupil to active searching of new information in multimedial programme and which should fix the knowledges gained in countryside.
Amphibians and reptiles occurence on the Prague 11 locality and its using in school practise
Korejs, Kamil ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee) ; Andreska, Jan (advisor)

"Chiropterans in education of zoology at elementary and high schools" This rigorous thesis can be considered as an extension and completion of the graduation thesis with the same name (finished by author on Charles University in April 2008), which processes the topic of Chiropterans and focuses on its use in education of biology at elementary and high schools. The main goal of the rigorous thesis is to verify usage of the topic at school praxis. The thesis consists of two main parts. Theoretical part provides basic inforrnation about Chiropterans, their characteristic signs, habits and way of life. Attention is focused especially on species of bats living in Czech Republic. The chapter deals with the factors threatening Chiropterans and problems of their protection in Czech Republic are addressed as well. Special chapter relate to the history of Czech Chiropterology. Practical part of this work processes excursions to winter roosting sites of the bats and also proposes summer excursions to their hunting-grounds with the use of electronic device to monitor active bats. The same chapter deals with didactic and methodic too. Special attention is focused on verification of practical usage of the topic at schools. PowerPoint presentation, intended for introduction Chiropterans to pupils and students at...
