Integrace ekologických a morfologických studií: Mikrodistribuce druhů .i.Protaphorura./i. (Collembola: Onychiurinae) okolo kmene buku
Rusek, Josef
The micro-distribution of soil mesofauna was studied around a beech stem in a .i.Luzuleto-Fagetum./i. forest in the Voděradské Bučiny National Nature Reserve, ca 30 km east of Prague, Central Bohemia. The soil type was a cambisol on granite. Fifty soil samples (10 cm.sup.2./sup. surface area and 5 cm deep) were taken in five parallel rows at different distances below and above the stem on a gentle SW slope. Soil arthropods were extracted from each sample in a high-gradient extractor. Soil pH and bulk density were determined for each sample after animal extraction. Three .i.Protaphorura./i.-species were recorded in the samples: .i.P. armata, P. pseudovanderdrifti, Protaphorura./i. sp. nov. The eudominant .i.P. armata./i. reached highest density in samples 50 to 100 cm below and above the beech stem where .i.Protaphorura./i. sp. nov. was present only in a low frequency and at most by a single (exceptionally two) specimen per sample.
Millipedes (Diplopoda), centipedes (Chilopoda) and terrestrial isopods (Oniscidea) of the Žofínský prales National Nature Reserve, the Novohradské hory Mountains (South Bohemia, Czech Republic)
Tajovský, Karel
Data about the present knowledge of the millipede, centipede and terrestrial isopod faunas of the Žofínský prales National Nature Reserve are summarized. Except for terrestrial isopods no literary data were available for millipedes and centipedes. Detail faunistic research, aimed at all three groups of terrestrial invertebrates, has been realized in the years 1997-1999. The results showed that from the faunistic point of view this virgin forest represents interesting territory with specific species composition and presence of some rare or less frequent species. In total, 15 species of millipedes, 19 species of centipedes and 7 species of terrestrial isopods have been found. The millipedes Pachypodoiulus eurypus and Listrocheiritium septentrionale, the centipedes Lithobius punctulatus and Lithobius piceus, and the terrestrial isopods Trichoniscus ostarrichius and Ligidium germanicum represent important faunistic records.
Earthworms (Lumbricidae) of the Novohrady Mountains - present state of knowledge
Pižl, Václav
In this contribution, the first data are presented on the occurrence of earthworms at the territory of the Novohrady Mts. 605 individuals were obtained during occasional samplings at 11 sites, among which 19 earthworm species and subspecies were identified, i.e. almost 40
Testate amoebae assemblages (Protozoa, Rhizopoda) from the National Nature Reserve Žofínský prales )Novohradské hory Mts., Czech Republic)
Balík, Vladimír
The soil and moss testate amoebae fauna of the National Nature Reserve Žofínský prales in the Novohradské hory Mts. was investigated in the years 1988 and 1997-1999. In total 197 testate amoebae species, varieties and forms were determined here. National Nature Reserve Žofínský prales belong from faunistical point of view to the richest areas in the Czech Republic. On the basis of coenological analysis of the primary data set and on the basis of application of the cluster and ordination analyses were determined here four basic testate amoebae assemblages: beech forest assemblage, acidophilous spruce forest assemblage, wet spruce forest assemblage and assemblage of moss carpets on soil, fallen trunks and big stones. In these four basic testate amoebae assemblages was studied the influence of microhabitats characterised by different plant undergrowth and different microclimatic conditions on qualitative and quantitative parameters of these testate amoebae assemblages. No significant impact of these microhabitats was determined.
Biodiversity of Collembola in the Žofínský Prales National Nature Reserve
Rusek, Josef
Collembolan, communities were studied in the Žofínský Prales National Nature Reserve in south Bohemia during 1997-1999. 93 species of Collembola were established in the material of 13297 individuals. 71 of them were recorded in the beech and 52 in the spruce forests. The highest diversity (H=2,6) was established in one of the beech and in two of the spruce forest microhabitats. The lowest diversity (H=0,6) was in moss on a boulder in the Fageto-Aceretum forest. Characteristic feature of the collembolan fauna of the Žofínský prales is a high number of alpine species or species having near relatives in the Alps.
