Fieldless Methods for the Simulation of Induction Heating of 3D Non-Ferromagnetic Metal Bodies
Doležel, Ivo ; Šolín, Pavel ; Ulrych, B.
In the present study we introduce a class of novel methods for the mathematical modelling and numerical solution of the induction heating of non-ferromagnetic metal bodies in harmonic electromagnetic fields. The main advantage of the presented approach is the elimination of the surrounding air from the electromagnetic model.
Computer modeling of pulsed laser processing of CdZnTe
Černý, R. ; Přikryl, Petr ; Gatskevich, E.
Computer model of rapid phase transitions in a semiconducting system induced by pulsed laser irradiation is presented. An example of practical application is given and results discussed.
The conjugate gradient method
Křížek, Michal ; Segeth, Karel
The paper introduces the main idea of the conjugate gradient method for solving large systems of linear algebraic equations.
Some algorithms aspects of higher-order finite element schemes in multidimensions
Segeth, Karel ; Šolín, P. ; Kočiřík, M.
The higher-order finite element discretization has some nontrivial aspects in 1D and, esperially, 2D and 3D. These phenomena are described in the paper.
Adaptive higher-order finite element solution of PDEďs
Segeth, Karel ; Šolín, P.
The contribution is concerned with fully automatic h-, p-, and hp- adaptive strategies based on optimization of the finite element gird.
Rothe method and method of lines. A brief discussion. Mathematical and Computer Modelling in Science and Engineering
Segeth, Karel
The contribution compares the solution of linear parabolic problems by the method of lines and Rothe method.
On some fast algorithms. Numerical Analysis
Segeth, Karel
Some well-known fast algorithms are presunted with their connections to numerical analysis in general.
Mathematical and numerical modeling of a semiconductor device
Segeth, Karel
Mathematical and numerical modeling of the function of a semiconductor device is a problem of great practical as well as strategical importance. Recently, this modeling has been devoted much theoretical as well as practical effort in the world.
Numerical Solution of Turbulent Heat and Mass Transport in a Binary System Undergoing Solidification
Černý, R. ; Přikryl, Petr
Experience of the authors with computational modelling the process of crystal growth from the melt is summarized in the paper.
