The problems of fenol sorption from waste water
Židek, Michal ; Pavlovský,, Jiří (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
The bachelor work deals of sorption of phenol from waste water. In theoretical part the basic characteristic of phenol, their effects and presence in environmental compounds are described. The possibility of removal phenol from waste water in waste water treatment is also described. The adsorption process of removal phenol introduced too. The analysis current adsorbents using in removal phenol from aqueous solutions and characteristic properties are also presented in relation to materials on the base of clay minerals. The experimental part is focused on the possibility of removal phenol from aqueous solution via adsorption mechanism under various pH conditions.
Determination of hazardous elements in soils with different anthropogenic contamination using sequential extraction analysis
Židek, Michal ; Sommer, Lumír (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals about determination of hazardous elements and their mobility in soils from Brno and Ostrava. For extraction of soil samples was used sequential extraction by Tessier and BCR sequential extraction. Extraction by nitric acid was also used. Mercury was determinated by the advanced mercury analyser AMA 254. Lead, copper and zinc were determinated by the flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Cadmium and vanadium were determinated by the electrotermic atomic absorption.
GNOME Keyring Storage in FreeIPA
Židek, Michal ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This master's thesis gives introduction to FreeIPA project and GNOME Keyring project. It discusses benefits of possible integration of GNOME Keyring into FreeIPA using FreeIPA's component called Password Vault. Designs of possible implementations are provided. Prototype of one of these designs is implemented.
Use of OpenGL from Java
Židek, Michal ; Letko, Zdeněk (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the usability of Java in applications that use OpenGL graphics library. It provides basic information about the OpenGL library itself, and most commonly used methods to bind it with the Java language. It also aims to compare the performance of Java with C++ in applications that render 3D scenes. Two test programs were developed for this purpose, one in Java and one in C++. Both programs were tested in a set of tests, to measure the performance of both implementations while rendering the same scene.
Posouzení budoucího vývoje zpracování kalu na ČOV Modřice
Zidek, Michal
This diploma thesis deals with the sludge line at the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Modřice. In the theoretical part is briefly described the general principle of the wastewater treatment plant and more detailed description of technologies used in sludge treatment on sludge lines of larger WWTPs. There are also mentioned new technologies for sludge pretreatment as well as some new perspective technologies for thermal sludge treatment. In the next part the sludge line at the Modřice wastewater treatment plant is described in more details and there are presented places from which the data for the practical part were obtained. The practical part compares the acquired data from years 2015 and 2016. These years are compared with each other, then they are compared with the design parameters of the sludge line during its reconstruction in 2004. In conclusion, on the basis of the evaluation of the obtained data, there are presented proposals that should lead to the improvement of the sludge line function.

Problematika zpracování a následného využití čistírenských kalů
Zidek, Michal
Sludge treatment and its processing problematics and subsequent use of sewage sludge are nowadays much discussed issues. Requirements for ecologic and environmentally friendly disposal of sludge are continuously increasing. These requirements lead to an increase of energy, technology and economic performance of sludge treatment, particularly in relation to the current legislative conditions in this area. The issue of sludge treatment is therefore one of the main topics in the operation of wastewater treatment plants in Modřice, which serves as the "central" wastewater treatment plant for Brno city and its surroundings. Nowadays is sludge in Modřice stabilized by anaerobic mesophilic fermentation and sanitized by drying or liming. Values of proposed parameters and operational data on the input to the slurry line in some cases differ, e.g. sludge concentration in the reservoir of the primary sludge, and the concentration and volume flows in the sludge thickening tank. This is due to the nature of entering waste water (higher total pollution in them) and limits of subsequent technologies. Despite these deficiencies are achieved proposed and required legislative parameters of sludge in output.
