Fluidized Bed Gasification of Coal-Oil and Coal-Water-Oil Slurries by a Gas Containing Carbon Dioxide-Oxygen Mixture
Svoboda, Karel ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Jeremiáš, Michal ; Kameníková, Petra ; Skoblia, S. ; Šyc, Michal
Direct use of CO2 instead of steam or as a partial substitute for steam in coal and biomass direct gasification processes is one of possibilities of potential useful application of CO2. Based on the above stated facts we concentrated in our study on FB gasification of COS and COWS slurries with gases containing higher concentrations of CO2. Our attention was particularly devoted to effects of CO2 concentrations and gasification temperature on producer gas heating value, energy yield, tar and BTX yields in comparison with FB gasification with steam-O2 mixtures.
Fluidized Bed Gasification of Flax used for Phytoextration of Heavy Metals
Pohořelý, Michael ; Šyc, Michal ; Jeremiáš, Michal ; Vosecký, Martin ; Kameníková, Petra ; Skoblia, Sergej ; Svoboda, Karel ; Punčochář, Miroslav
This study was aimed at determination of distribution of heavy metals among producer gas and individual size fractions of ash matter, i. e. bed ash and cyclone ash, formed in fluidized bed steam biomass gasification. Knowledge of distribution of heavy metals is necessary for further utilization of all products of the gasification.
Leaching of Zn, Cd, Pb, a Cu from Penny-Cress (Thlaspi caerulescens) Used for Phytoremediation
Pohořelý, Michael ; Šyc, Michal ; Tlustoš, P. ; Habart, J. ; Punčochář, Miroslav
This work deals with decontamination technology – phytoextraction, which is used for decontamination of soil in-situ. Studied plant was penny-cress (Thlaspi caerulescens) that serves as hyperaccumulator of heavy metals.
Fuel Characteristics of Flax (Linum usitatissimum) Applied for Phytoremediation of Industrially Contaminated Sites
Šyc, Michal ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Toufarová, H. ; Žáčková, P. ; Punčochář, Miroslav
Expansion of energetic crops growing leads to the need of cultivation of soil that was not used so far. Flax as an energetic crop is possible to grow on insdustrially contaminated sites. Furthermore, heavy metals bioaccumulation ability of flax caused remediation of contaminated soils by moving them to phytomass. This phytoremediation method is called phytoextraction and it is one of the phytoremediation technologies. Fuel characteristics and usability of flax for selected heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd, Hg, Cr, Ni, As) phytoextraction are presented in short-paper.
Monitoring of Selected Organic Pollutants in Flue Gases of MSWI TERMIZO.
Šyc, Michal ; Pekárek, Vladimír ; Novák, P. ; Fišerová, Eva ; Punčochář, Miroslav
Polychlorinated benzenes (PCBz), polychlorianted phenols (PCPh) and polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/F) were monitored on different sampling points in flue gases of MSWI TERMIZO. There are changes in concetrations and congener profiles of these substances in air pollution control devices of waste incineration plants. The most considerable changes are observed in devices working on catalytic base and wet scrubbers.
Identification of Bounds between Qualitative Parameters of Aerosols and Their Place of Occurence
Tydlitát, Vratislav ; Pekárek, Vladimír ; Šyc, Michal ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Karban, Jindřich
Results of measurements of aerosols obtained by 24hour taking in two localities in Prague during the year 2004 and in three localities during the year 2005 are presented.
Identification of Relations between Parameters of the Aerosol and Location of his Occurence
Tydlitát, Vratislav ; Pekárek, Vladimír ; Šyc, Michal
Analysis AAS of aerosols taken on three places in Prague, fractions PM10 and PM2,5 is presented. As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Al, Fe, Zn are determined. By the method EDX are determined relative content of 37 elements. Two analysis of samples of powders catured on ventilation filters in Prague 5 and Prague 6 are presented (inorgnic anionts, NH4+, Ca, Mg, Na, K,SiO2 are determined).
The Rating of the Relation between the Composition of Solid Matter in the Atmosphere and Their Sources in Selected Areas of Prague
Tydlitát, Vratislav ; Pekárek, Vladimír ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Šyc, Michal ; Vosecký, Martin
From eght chemical composition of aerosols PM10 and PM2,5 from two areas in Prague on the end of winter and in sommer in analogy with statistical analyses of other authors it was concluded which are possible sources of aerosols in the areas of measurement. For chemical analysis AAS, iont chromatography and X-ray fluorescence methods were used..Soil dust and fine silicates there are a very probable source of aerosols . In connection with realisation of a few measurements the existence of other sources (heating, traffic, cment kiln, industry, ammonium sulphate, nitrate iont) is discussed.
Asessment of the Relation between the Composition of Aerosols of Solids in Air and Their Sources on Selected Places in Prague
Tydlitát, Vratislav ; Pekárek, Vladimír ; Šyc, Michal ; Vosecký, Martin
Results of the twentyfour hour sampling of aerosols at two posts in Prague: on a street with large traffic and at a post near to cement plant are presented. In aerosols PM10 a PM2,5 adsorbed from 500 to 1000 m3 of air (20 to 40 mg) were determined contents of As,Cd, Cr,Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Al, Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Na, Zn by the method of atomic absorption spectrometry. From x-ray fluorescence analyze were assesed contents of Si, S and Cl.. The winter traffic is the source of aerosol wth content of NaCl and SiO2 , Fe, Ca. In the vicinity of cement plant the aerosol contents elements, which are in cement and elements fom combustion: K, Ca, Al and S.
