Synthesis of ceramic materials based on Ca-Co-O system
Žáková, Kateřina ; Švec, Jiří (referee) ; Bartoníčková, Eva (advisor)
In this work synthesis of structure cobaltites based on Ca-Co-O system is discussed. As major way of synthesis was chosen citric acid method. The document is devided into theoretical and experimental part and also into discussion of observed results. Main focus of literary research is general utilization and function of thermoelectric materials, related thermoeletric effects according to structural defects in crystals. Also topic of cobaltite ceramics is described. Due to the fact that calcium-cobalt oxides are conductive, their use is point of interest in high-temperature and energy applications. During experiments differential thermal and thermogravimetric analysis (TG-DTA), X-Ray diffraction, heat microscopy and scanning electron microscopy were used.
Altitmeter for RC aircraft models
Švec, Jan ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Prokopec, Jan (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to design an altimeter, who uses to record the attitude of the model "RC plane" evaluation of the current atmospheric pressure. The data are saved during the flight into the memory. The data can be transferred to PC after recording through the USB . The software on PC communicates with the device and ensuring the conversion of recorded pressure to altitude RC model.

METHODOLOGY OF VOICE DISORDER EVALUATION FROM VIDEOKYMOGRAPHY RECORDS
Vydrová, J. ; Švec, J. G. ; Zitová, Barbara ; Novozámský, Adam ; Zita, Aleš ; Šorel, Michal
The aim of the methodology „Evaluating voice disorders from videkymographic data“ is to provide a comprehensive information on a new diagnostic method for diagnosis of functional and organic disorders of the voice - videokymography (VKG). The methodology is intended for otorinolaryngology and phoniatry specialists. The methodology will also serve as a study material for both trainers and trainees of the certified course „Videokymography in Medical Practice“. The diagnostic method consists of a patient examination technique and of an evaluation of the examination results. Thie data are automatically evaluated by software created to support the VKG diagnostics.
Effect of turbulence in FE model of human vocal folds self-oscillation
Hájek, P. ; Švancara, Pavel ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Švec, J.G.
The purpose of the study is to determine whether a turbulence model in fluid flow calculation affects the vocal folds (VF) vibration and the acoustics of human vocal tract (VT). The objective is examined using a two-dimensional (2D) finite element (FE) model of the fluid-structure-acoustic interaction for self-sustained oscillations of the VF. The FE model consists of the models of the VF, the trachea and a simplified model of the human VT. The developed FE model includes large deformations of the VF tissue and VF contact interrupting the airflow during glottis closure. The airflow is modelled by the unsteady viscous compressible Navier-Stokes equations, without and with the Shear Stress Transport (SST) turbulence model. Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) and morphing of the fluid mesh are realized using Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) approach. The method is applied on the FE model of the VT shaped for the Czech vowel [a:]. Also effect of varying stiffness of the superficial lamina propria (SLP) is analyzed. The numerical simulations showed that considering of the turbulence affects mainly higher frequencies apparent in a frequency spectrum of the VT acoustics.
New Techniques in Neural Networks Training - Connectionist Temporal Classification
Gajdár, Matúš ; Švec, Ján (referee) ; Karafiát, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with neural network and their use in speech recognition. Firstly, there is some theory about speech recognition, afterwards we show theory around neural networks in connection with connectionist temporal classification method. In next chapter we introduce toolkits, which were used for training of neural networks and also experiments done by them to find out impact of connectionist temporal classification method on precisionin phoneme decoding. The last chapter include summarization of work and overall evaluation of experiments.
Security Integration Processes in the Post-Soviet Space
Švec, Jan ; Rolenc, Jan Martin (advisor) ; Cibulková, Petra (referee)
The thesis deals with the topic of security integration processes in the post-Soviet space, and focuses on the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). The aim of the thesis is to specify the character of the CSTO from the perspective of collective security theories. The first part of the thesis studies different approaches to the concept of collective security. The result of the first part is the specification of criterions, which allow to identify collective security organization. The second part describes the characteristics of post-Soviet space and integration processes in the post-Soviet space. The third part analyses the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The conclusion provides arguments, why CSTO is not a collective security organization and why it should rather be considered as a collective defense organization.
Competencies and requierements of municiapalities fot the social inclusion policy
Švec, Jakub ; Klusáček, Jan (advisor) ; Drhová, Zuzana (referee)
Diploma thesis deals with competencies of local municipalities in social inclusion policy. Social exclusion is a key phenomenon of contemporary policy, and municipalities play an important role in such policy. Though, municipalities often tend to fail in their role. The thesis describes and analyse the competencies of local governments and tries to set up and ideal local inclusion policy: a complete set of possible measures that a municipality can use in dealing with social inclusion. This ideal is further on used in two case studies: formative evaluation of local policies in two small towns in South Bohemia. The result is interpreted in perspective of social construction of target groups theory, explaining why do or do not municipalities use concrete inclusive measures. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The Effect of Bulkiness of Non-peripheral Substituents of Phthalocyanines on their Absorption and Photophysical properties
Paušímová, Zuzana ; Nováková, Veronika (advisor) ; Švec, Jan (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department Department od Biophysics and Physical Chemistry Student Zuzana Paušímová Supervisor doc. PharmDr. Veronika Nováková Ph.D. Title of thesis The Effect of Bulkiness of Non-peripheral Substituents of Phthalocyanines on their Absorption and Photophysical Properties Phthalocyanines are planar macrocyclic compounds which absorb the light over 670 nm due to their large system of conjugated double bounds. Peripheral substitution of phthalocyanines significantly affects the position of the main absorption band. Absorption at longer wavelengths is highly advantageous in any biological applications because such light does not interfere with endogenous chromophores. It was discovered that the desired red-shift of absorption band is much more pronounced at non-peripherally substituted phthalocyanines. However, it was recently found out that the presence of bulky non-peripheral substituent shifts significantly absorption maximum back to lower wavelengths. The aim of this study was to explain this phenomenon more in detail. For this purpose, a series of phthalocyanines bearing non-peripheral (alkyl- or arylsulphanyl) substituents of different bulkiness was prepared. Syntheses included nucleophilic substitution leading to appropriate...
