Šubertová Aneta Abstract My bachelor thesis, "Immigration Policy of France during the Presidency of Nicolas Sarkozy" deals with the attempts of french government to reform french immigration legislation and implement stricter immigration policy towards foreigners. The issue of immigration is one of the top domestic policy issues today and was also used in the presidential election campaign of Nicolas Sarkozy. During the financial crises increased xenophobia in French society. Government tried to implement a selective immigration policy and deeper integration foreigners to the french society. They also tried to restrict immigration based on the right to family reunification, which is currently the main part of immigrants in french society. This thesis is theoretical analysis, which map and analyze the main laws that the government adopted to restrict the flow of immigration. I analyze immigration law from 2007, which should restrict family reunification and law from 2011, which implemented 3 directive of European Union into the French law. I also mention the repatriation of Roma into the country of origin. These measures provoked a stormy reaction in the professional and general public but also among deputies and Senators. Severely measures were finally canceled because of their failure or criticism.

Šubertová, Aneta ; Pípalová, Renata (advisor) ; Matuchová, Klára (referee)
This thesis deals with politeness and its realization in a classroom discourse. The theoretical part describes the most influential politeness theories and also the findings on the topic of teaching pragmatics and linguistic politeness. The research in the thesis focuses on analysis of teachers' verbal realizations of politeness as found in the recordings of four English lessons. The research was designed to verify the two hypotheses: (1) teachers are basically polite in a classroom of English as a second language and (2) politeness strategies of Czech teachers of English differ from those of native speaking teachers. The analytical part adopts the viewpoint of Brown and Levinson's positive and negative politeness. The last part of the thesis aims at summarizing the implications that this thesis, its theoretical summary and its research, have for teaching English as a second language.

They defined the parameters of these quotas that applied strictly to elections of proportional electoral system, such as elections into municipal councils with over 3.500 inhabitants, regional and European elections, and Senate elections in areas with three and more senators. In elections with plurality voting system, such as legislative elections and Senate elections with one or two senators, the parity was supposed to be achieved by imposing of financial penalty for those political parties that would not comply with the parity laws. This diploma thesis describes a public discussion that had taken place in France before the adoption of the gender parity imposed by the law. It compares four major political parties- the Republicans, Socialist party, The Greens and the National Front. The research analyzes their compliance with parity laws and their implementation on their candidate lists in parliamentary as well as Senate elections. The aim of this diploma thesis is to show and compare the rhetoric and the actions of the studied political parties with regards to the parity. The research analyzes the lists of...
