Construction of The GPS Devices
Hort, Marek ; Jaroš, David (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
Aim of this Diploma thesis was to create a device capable of receiving navigational data from GPS. These data are subsequently stored in fixed memory and after connection with the PC are displayed it on the satellite map. The device was realized by using FPGA and GPS module LEA-5s. Description was created in the VHDL language, which was implemented into the circuit. The part of VHDL design was description of PICOBLAZE processor that controls whole system. For displaying and archiving data stored in device was created PC application GPS TRACER. It is able to display stored trace on the satellite map by using Google maps server. For created device were designed and manufactured PCBs, which were manually fitted.
Controlled heating of Composite Material
Fajkus, Martin ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The supposed thesis considers problem of heating of composite material for outdoor application. Basement of thesis is analysis of submitted sample of composite material. Measured values of composite material were compared and evaluated and than acceptable samples were choosen for next application. Part of thesis is creation of measuring software for analysis of sample. Other part of thesis is realization of equipment of control unit for heating of composite material. Control unit makes it possible to regulate heating and to set up parameters from computer.
Network datalogger
Maštálka, Daniel ; Žák, Jaromír (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
Work is about theoretical proposal of network datalogger, which logs indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. As microcontroler is used development kit STM32 Value Line Discovery and for comunication with server is used Ethernet protocol. As primary display is used remote access to server, as secondary alphanumeric liquid crystal display.
Switching LED drivers
Doležal, Miroslav ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
In this bachelor’s these are three basic typologies of drivers (step down, step up, step up and down output voltage) described. Five specific integrated circuits fulfilling the requirement for supplying LED diodes are selected. The output of this thesis is the design and construction of LED driver for supplying high brightness LEDs with 900 mA constant current.
The System for Controlled Heating and Roller Blinds in the Building
Brudný, Tomáš ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The object of this project was to develop a device, which would by use to coordinate or control device wireless. The system divided to several independent devices, which assure high comfort for the user. The basic unit contains of touch panel which allow the user to control the system. The second unit is used for communication the system with GSM net. The third unit is used to coordinate the system from a PC. This unit makes possible data collection and their evaluation. This unit can as well control and coordinate any devises in the system. Part and parcel of this system are units which are used to drive the end consumers. The hole system is powered from a instead powers supply which is managed from a microprocessor. These devices make it possible, to the system to work without line voltage. The system is designed modular, so in the future it is possible to expand the system of others peripherals.
Position measurement by electronic contact probes
Noga, Kamil ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This work is dealing with custom screens programming for Mitsubishi M7 series controller. These custom screens will be working as graphic user interface for easy workpiece zero position measuring and also for precise measuring of length and diameter of tools used for working on the work piece.
Wireless dimmer
Vávra, Jan ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and realization wirelessly controlled light dimmer. The microcontroller CC430F513x made by Texas Instruments is used as a control unit. It ensures data transfer from a user to the lighting itself. Information will be transmitted by radio frequency at 868 MHz. The design will include light bulb lights and energy saving LED light sources, which are from manufacturer intended to regulate brightness.
System for position monitoring
Brouček, Jan ; Younes, Dina (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis contains design of device that is able to determine its own location by the GPS. Detected location data are stored on the memory card microSD and they are optionally posted on the web server via the GSM network. Data are stored in GPX format, ensuring the compatibility with commercially available programs and devices. Planed usage of device is for informational tracking of moving objects, or as a car security feature, which can inform user about car position.
Light chromaticity sensor
Rejthar, Martin ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis is aimed on problematics and analysis of colorimetry, as an instrument of exploration of light and its characteristics. Research is made to find plausible methods of measurement and comparing light. First part is focused on theory, to discuss basic physical principles connected to lighting and colorimetry. Possible applications of these theoretical knowledge during the realization of the portable meter are studied. Next part speaks on construction and requirements on such a device and processing of results. Device is later assembled, and the basic measurements are performed.
The use of Electrical Properties of Composites with Modified Cement Matrix
Macháň, Ladislav ; Husák, Miroslav (referee) ; Sýkora, Jiří (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The dissertation thesis is focused on practical use of composite material with modified cement matrix. Especially the area of electrical behavior of composite materials in use has been examined, for strain sensing material. The experimental part solves the problematics of corrosion of carbon and metallic materials in alkaline environment of the cement matrix. The physical design of the sensor and its fabrication using functional composite cement material have been described here. The thesis has also discussed defining the influence of temperature change and humidity change on the change of electrical parameters of integrated sensors. An important part of the thesis is the area of evaluating a series of measurements of electrical parameters under dynamic loading. The thesis analyzes designed measurement method in detail, being suitable to determine electrical properties of cement composite materials including the construction of a monitoring system that enables practical application of sensors in complex structures.
