Geometric transformation in secondary school mathematics with the support of internet
Ptáčková, Tereza ; Robová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Štěpánová, Martina (referee)
This work deals with geometric transformation in a plane in high school mathematics. The work is a web page, it contains several interactive components which help student to understand the problem like hyperlinks or stepping of the construction. The work contains several solved problems. Main emphasis is placed on illustration of problems in the form of drawings and construction. The illustration is better by using of applets. The applets show the steps of the construction one after another as the students proceed with the con- struction on a sheet of paper. Together with each step of construction its symbolic description is showed. Created web page could be used by high-school students as well as tea- chers to demonstrate the problem.
On Employing Persons with Health Impairment: Law, Possibilities, Difficulties
Štěpánová, Martina ; Cimrmannová, Tereza (advisor) ; Stretti, Sylvie (referee)
I want to achieve several goals in this Master Thesis. The first one is a brief description of the nowadays understanding of the phenomenon of unemployment, health disability and their common interaction. Another aim of the thesis is to summarize the social effects which are caused by unemployment. Possibilities of finding a position for the invalid people in the employment market are discussed as well. I will mention certain disadvantages of employing invalid persons. The disadvantages are mainly caused by the health status of invalids and eventually by a long period of being unemployed. The substantial part of the thesis consists of case studies of persons with health impairment. These case studies contain proposals of solving the current situation of these person along with the confrontation of their real situation with the theory. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Origins of Matrix Theory in Czech Lands (and the responses to them)
Štěpánová, Martina ; Bečvář, Jindřich (advisor) ; Slavík, Antonín (referee) ; Hora, Jaroslav (referee)
In the 1880s and early 1890s, the Prague mathematician Eduard Weyr published his important results in matrix theory. His works represented the only significant contribution to matrix theory by Czech mathematicians in many decades that followed. Although Eduard Weyr was one of the few European mathematicians acquainted with matrix theory and working in it at that time, his results did not gain recognition for about a century. Eduard Weyr discovered the Weyr characteristic, which is a dual sequence to the better known Segre characteristic, and also the so-called typical form. This canonical form of a matrix is nowadays called the Weyr canonical form. It is permutationally similar to the commonly used Jordan canonical form of the same matrix and it outperforms the Jordan canonical form in some mathematical situations. The Weyr canonical form has become much better known in the last few years and even a monograph dedicated to this topic was published in 2011.
States on algebras
Štěpánová, Martina
States on algebras Abstract: States are defined as special cases of a mapping into a set of real numbers. In the thesis, we intro- duce states on ordered Abelian groups, many valued algebras (MV-algebras), generalized many valued algebras (GMV-algebras) and commutative dually residuated lattice ordered monoids (commutative DRl-monoids). We describe some properties of above-mentioned algebras and present a connection among them. For example, GMV-algebras (an algebraic counterpart of the non-commutative infinite valued propositional logic) are a non-commutative generalization of MV-algebras (an algebraic analogy of the Łukasiewicz infinite valued propositional logic) and we can obtain MV-algebras as special cases of DRl-monoids. Existence theorems for states, con- ditions for the uniqueness of states and formulas for the ranges of values of states are introduced here.
Detached house in Horní Lideč
Štěpánová, Martina ; Karlík, Štěpán (referee) ; Petříček, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the process of building technical part of the design documentation for the realization of a newly-built single-family in the village Horní Lideč. The building is situated on a sloping plot. The house is designed as a two-storey house with basement. The basement is accessible by the south side of the finished grade. There is a garage, utility room and sanitary facilities with sauna. The main living area is divided into a social part on the first floor and the relaxation part on the second floor. This part is roofed with a mono-pitched roof at 5 with metal roofing. The part with the garage is roofed with walkable flat roof that serves as a terrace. The house is based on strips foudations. Vertical loadbearing structures above ground are made of Porotherm system, external walls of the basement are made of prefabricated concrete shuttering blocks. Horizontal structures are designed as a monolithic reinforced concrete slab. Building is insulated. Part of the external wall finish are made of silicone plaster and part of it consists of ventilated facade with timber cladding.

Ensuring appropriate security and safety of mothers and newborns at the department of post-natal care
ŠTĚPÁNOVÁ, Martina
The bachelor degree thesis called ? Meeting the need of security and safety of mothers and newborns at the postnatal ward " is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part describes nursing care of newborns in order to meet the needs of security and safety of newborns and their mothers (identification of newborns, rooming-in, breast-feeding, comfort, safe handling and hygienic care). The objective No. 1 in the empirical part was to map the tasks of midwives / pediatric nurses in meeting the needs of security and safety of mothers and newborns. The formulated hypothesis was: Midwives / pediatric nurses are involved in meeting the needs of security and safety of mothers and newborns. The quantitative research used the method of inquiring with a questionnaire technique. The surveyed group consisted of 60 midwives / pediatric nurses working at neonatology wards. The objective No. 2 was to map how the meeting of the needs of security and safety of newborns is perceived by mothers at the postnatal ward. The formulated research question was: How do the mothers perceive the meeting of the needs of security and safety at the postnatal ward? The qualitative research used the method of inquiring with a technique of in-depth interview. The surveyed group consisted of 5 mothers hospitalized at the postnatal ward and their children hospitalized in the station of physiological newborns in the Hospital in České Budějovice. The objective No. 3 was to map how the mothers observe measures aimed at security and safety (rules of safe handling of newborns in general). The research question was formulated as follows: How the mothers observe measures aimed at meeting the needs of security and safety (rules of safe handling of newborns in general)? Also this part of research was qualitative, using the method of observation and a record sheet technique. The surveyed group was the same as in the previous case. All the objectives have been met. Based on the submitted results the hypothesis No. 1 has been confirmed. Midwives / pediatric nurses are involved in meeting the needs of security and safety. The research question No. 1 has been answered. The mothers ranked the meeting of the needs of security and safety positively, in 4 cases out of 5. The research question No. 2 has been answered as well. The mothers seek to observe the measures aimed at meeting the needs of security and safety, however, the weakest point is still the handling of newborns. Therefore an educational brochure has been developed for the mothers. The results of the research will be communicated to midwives / pediatric nurses working in the station of physiological newborns at the neonatology ward in the Hospital in České Budějovice. The bachelor degree thesis may serve as a source of information for future students of midwifery.
