Thermal stability of the biomass combustion process
Grygar, Jan ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Poláčik, Ján (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on fne particles, which are produced by small combustion units, and their reduction. The frst chapter deals with the issue of fne particles, their creation, composition and their impact on man and the enviroment. The last chapter deals with the design of solution for reducing of emissions of small biomass combustion units.
Steam boiler for biomass and sand 92,5t/h
Špiláček, Michal ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with design of steam boiler for wood chips. Wood chips are considered as biomass and so the steam boiler is considerate to enviroment. Main purpose of this work is calculation of size and number of water/steam heating surfaces so the boiler can produce steam with required parametres of temperature, pressure and amount.
Heat exchanger design
Para, Marcel ; Chýlek, Radomír (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This final thesis deals with the design of the water-water heat exchanger, which is part of the cooling circuit. It contains a detailed thermal and hydraulic calculation. The work also includes a basic construction drawing.
Purification of flue-gas desulfurization
Křesťan, Jan ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is theoretical elaboration of flue-gas desulfurization and emission limits of sulphur dioxide. Thesis is divided into three parts. First part is about content of sulphur in fuel, formation of sulphur oxides and their influence on human health and environment. Second part is dedicated to sources of sulphur dioxide, present emission situation in the Czech Republic and emission limits of sulphur dioxide. The third part describes methods how to reduce emissions of sulphur dioxide, especially methods of flue-gas desulfurization. The thesis is based on technical texts, Czech laws about air pollution and data from the Czech hydrometeorological institute.
Reducing the content of combustible substances in the flying ash
Mucha, Matej ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The thesis deals with formation, usage, advantages and disadvantages of fluidized bed. It describes power plant Vojany, the process of generation power, used technology of fluidized bed boilers and their technical problems. The thesis summarizes the solutions given by University of technology Czestochova and also gives suggestion to solve the problem of large content of combustible coal parts in fly ash.
Heat exchanger parametric study using CFD
Sušovský, Martin ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
In this paper is carried out basic design and calculation of tube heat exchanger with a straight tube bundle with installed systém of disk and doughnut baffles. The calculation included pressure losses and heat transfer coefficient of tubular space and shell side. Then CFD model was made for parametric study, which was focused on influence of change of the baffles geometry on the heat output of the exchanger and the pressure loses on the shell side.
Use of surface water as a low-temperature source for heat pumps
Jordanov, Alexandr ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
First part of my diploma thesis contains research of ground water, refrigerants and heat pump including its inner components. Second part contains calculation of heat exchanger water – antifreeze, which use heat from a river and it will be used for input to heat pump water – water.
High temperature energy storage
Roden, Lukáš ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Because of an increase share of renewable energy, there is a need to develop energy storage technologies, whether it is the electricity or the heat one. The main goal of this thesis is to design and assess a high temperature energy storage used for a long-term accumulation of a thermal energy. The designed storage is calculated for the needs of a family house with photovoltaic panels. It is used numerical method in the Excel software to simulate behaviour in storage. One of the biggest lack is a storage is large number of tubes, which are needed for a heat delivery into and out of the storage. This and the other related lacks make it impossible to a cost-effective application without the appropriate modifications.
Industrial heat pump
Pinkas, Marek ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of industrial heat pumps. Its aim is to describe the technologies of heat pumps and their use in industry, where they are already often used to recover waste heat. The work is devoted to compressor and absorption heat pumps. The main parts of the heat pump are presented and described here. Emphasis is also placed on the working materials used. Real applications of industrial heat pumps are also presented. At the end, two variants of the application of the heat pump in cooperation with the cogeneration unit are proposed. In the first case, a compressor heat pump was proposed, and in the second, an absorption heat pump. The heat source for the heat pump is water from the wastewater treatment plant.
Heat exchanger for waste heat utilization
Švach, Šimon ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with waste heat recovery using a heat exchanger. The aim of the thesis was to design a heat exchanger for the recovery of hot water from the cooling of a concentrator photovoltaic panel. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, a literature research on heat recovery and photovoltaics was carried out. In the practical part, a heat exchanger has been designed for a specific solution.
