This master's thesis focuses on exploring ecologically interesting areas in the town of Mladá Boleslav, integrating theoretical insights from curriculum documents and ecology education in schools with a projectbased approach. The theoretical part analyzes key concepts related to the project method and teaching, examines the projectsolving process, and explores the typology of projects. It further delves into curriculum documents, especially the Framework Educational Program and the School Educational Program, and outlines ecology education with a focus on the specific school context. The practical part meticulously analyzes the project "Ecologically Interesting Areas of Mladá Boleslav." It investigates the group of students, project goals, its integration into the school curriculum, and the development of key competencies. It addresses students' interactive approach to environmental protection and their direct contribution to the sustainability of the town.
