Analysis of the differences between native- born and incomers (immigrants) and their interaction and perceptions of Hostivice (district)

This bachelor project considers the differences between long-time residents of Hostivice and newcomers to the town, in their interaction and perceptions. The first section reviews researcher's findings, first-hand accounts, as well as theoretical literature on the subject of local identity: how it is formed in the space of the city and between its residents, both old and new. The second section introduces the results of a case study of Hostivice. These results show that long-time residents' identification with the town space is quite similar to that of the newcomers -- they encounter the same problems as well as advantages of residing in Hostivice . Although long- time residents are more embedded in the local community, they resemble the newcomers in their disinterest an active engagement between citizens and political institutions. The study further argues that the low level of social and political lifeis caused by the town's proximity to Prague and thus to vibrant activities in the capital. The study observes that the newcomers perceive their relationship to long-time residents as neutral. The long time residents, however, perceive newcomers as an allochthonous community that overpopulates Hostivice. 5

Analysis of residential stability and satisfaction in Prague's suburban zone case study Říčany

The main aim of this study is the residential stability of the population in Prague suburban locality Říčany. The residential stability was studied in six localities of Říčany which varied according to the type of housing. Description of differences among the selected locations of Říčany can improve the development of similar localities in Prague suburban zone. Residential stability of people depends on factors that can affect it and it is necessary to include all these factors in the analysis. The most significant factor is residential satisfaction with the quality of housing. Qualitative research methods: were used primarily for this analysis: questionnaire survey and interviews with residents of selected localities. The results showed that the city Říčany rather belong to unstable residential communities in Prague suburban zone. Residential instability of the inhabitants is significantly influenced by dissatisfaction with their housing, but very important aspects are also age and life-cycle stages of the respondents. Field survey did not confirm any significant differences between the selected locations, but rather among the types of housing.

Development of Housing Construction in the Administrative District of Municipality With Extended Powers Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav

This master thesis analyses the development and shape of residential suburbanization in north-east part of Prague hinterland - municipality with extended powers Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav - using data about new housing construction in the period of 1997- 2008 from Czech Statistical Office and data from Register of Enumeration Districts and Buildings. The thesis shows development of spatial arrangement of suburban housing in the period 1992-2008 in municipality with extended powers Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav. The thesis includes case studies of residential structure in several villages from north-east part of Prague hinterland: Jenštejn, Klecany Zdiby and Zlonín. Development of Municipality Rudná u Prahy in a Sense of Commercial Suburbanization

This bachelor thesis is called Development of Municipality Rudná u Prahy in a Sense of Commercial Suburbanization and deals with the commercial suburbanization which means the establishment of the new commercial activities and or the transfer of the current ones from the downtowns to the edges of cities. The thesis describes the commercial suburbanization as a whole, the chosen commercial zone including all important details and its position comparing to other similar zones. The papers define suburbanization, residential and commercial ones and their development in the Czech Republic, focusing mainly on the surrounding of Prague and the reasons which influenced this progression. The papers detailed deal with main characteristic of the chosen location Rudná, including its geography, history, inhabitants, traffic infrastructure, and description of near municipalities. In the end the thesis compares the positive and negative factors influencing municipality Rudná, its impact on the increase of the employment, the traffic infrastructure and the environment. Reforms in Turkey under the EU membership vision 1995 - 2005

The thesis "The Reforms in Turkey under the EU membership vision, 1995 - 2005" charts the sphere of political, social and economical reforms in Turkey. The reforms were divided into the three waves, which were started by, in EU - Turkey relations framework, breaking events (1995 - Custom union Agreement, 1999 - Turkey has obtained the candidate state statut, 2003 - pro-european R. T. Erdogan began the turkish Prime minister). This thesis also touches the EU member states positions to possible Turkey EU membership, which are often ambivalent. Neither the impact of turkish membership in Union (on EU functioning, on Turkey internal progress etc.) is omitted. The work summarized these important conclusions: 1) In the interest of Turkey's accession to the European Union really extensive reforms were realized and they are still realizing in this country. Compared to other accessive countries these reforms cover much larger sphere of life and they are much more extensive. 2) The focal point of reforms in Turkey is still in the legislative level (resp. theoretical level) - not in the practical life, where the reforms are realized very slowly. 3) The reasons of deficienty reforms realization lie mostly in the historical, also in cultural and especially in religious background of Turkey. 4) The reason behind opening...

Růstová charakteristika souboru odrůd rakytníku řešetlákového

The aim of this thesis was to make a literature résumé relating to the origin enlargement of the sort, conditions for growing and usage of the fruits. It was a 'Sluníčko', 'Aromat', 'Krasavice', 'Leicora', 'Hergo', 'Polmix', 'Trofimovský', 'Vitamínová', 'Buchlovický 1', 'Buchlovický 2'. The experiment was conducted in the autumn of 2014 at the School farm in Žabčice (ŠZP ŽABČICE). For each variety were detected signs of growing on the above ground parts of the bush. Height, width and length were measured. Also the cubic capacity was calculated. All the data were recorded and analyzed in Microsoft Excel and Statistica 12. And also branching shape shrubs and number of thorns has been considered.

Application of selected documents on intangible cultural heritage in the Czech republic on example of the project „Folk Tradition Bearers“

The bachelor thesis focuses on an overview of the present status of the care for traditional folk crafts in the Czech republic. The aim of the thesis is the analysis and description of the UNESCO documents for safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage and their application in the Czech republic, with a special emphasis on the project "Folk Tradition Bearers". The theoretical part provides an introduction to the topic of traditional folk culture and handcrafts, followed by the analysis of relevant international and Czech documents and the project "Folk Tradition Bearers". The practical part of the thesis consists of interviews with selected "Folk Tradition Bearers", analysis of the possibilities of support from the Ministry of culture, suggestions of further possibilities of presentation of the project, recommendations to the full utilization of the UNESCO document, as well as a description of the existing reserves.
