Inclusion of children with special educational needs
Šottová, Barbora ; Klusáček, Jan (advisor) ; Kohoutek, Jan (referee)
This study deals with the situation of inclusive education after the introduction of amendment No. 82/2015 Coll. Of the Education Act. Problems and areas of improvement that have occurred after the implementation of the amendment from the point of view of pedagogical- psychological counselors are examined. In this work semi-structured interviews with consultants were conducted. The long-term factors influencing the working conditions in counseling was identified: under-funding of the Czech education system, a short tradition of inclusive education at Czech schools and insufficient staffing in counseling. Major areas of improvement include greater cooperation with schools and a new way of providing support measures which must now be provided if needed. On the contrary, the problem area is the increase in the volume of activities for consultants. This situation forces them into strategies that reduce the quality of their work so there is an impact on the children's special educational needs.
