OSPOD cooperation with institution for protective care

The basis of the theoretical part is the conceptualization of terms that stem from the main research question. That includes an explanation of the fundamental points of the socio-legal protection of children, protective education, facilities for institutional and protective education. For the empirical part a qualitative strategy of research was chosen, interview method. The respondents included employees of the department of socio-legal protection of children. Based on the results of the research, the thesis describes functioning of the cooperation of both organizations.

Secondary and tertiary drug abuse prevention

This bacelor work deals with the subjective perception of significance of substitution treatment by it's clients. It's aim is to find out, how the clients of this treatment perceive it's significance primarily in their lives. Out of the data gained from the research it is obvious that despite some negatives of the substitution treatment it's clients considers it to be very positive especially because it allows them to get involve in the society and to live the "normal life". Suprisingly, in comparison with the orientation of intact population the clients almost completely ignore the influence of substitution on their state of health and the risk of transer of infection diseases.

PaedDr. Eva Šotolová Ph.D. ABSTRACT In the first half of the thesis we define the terms teacher, school methodist for prevention, curator for children and youth. We describe the principles of their cooperation in term of rights of the child and his social-law protection, due to the Act No. 359/199 Coll., social-law protection of children and due to the Decree No. 72/2005 Coll., providing counselling services in schools and school counselling institutions. Simultaneously we are opening the topic of possible moral dilemmas which can the teacher deal with in term of social-law protection of the student. Int he second half we evaluate the results of empirical investigation. The quantitative survey was conducted by questionnaire method in 7 primary schools in Prague. Its main purpose was to chart the extent of primary teachers knowledge about The office for social-law protection of children, to find out what quality is this cooperation and to compare the situation at practical primary schools and mainstream primary schools. Social worker in youth drop-in centres / services

The diploma thesis "Social worker in youth drop-in centres / services" in the theoretical part delineates borders of the field ,,drop-in service" and describes the importance of contact workers in terms of reaching the true sense of the youth drop-in service. In the practical part it answers the research question: "Which positive and negative factors influence motivation for remaining in this field?" The answer has been found using open coding analytical tool of the Strauss and Corbin's Grounded Theory in responses of (the representative sample of) ten social workers, which have been active in youth drop-in service longer than two years. The important output from the practical part of the diploma thesis is the finding that there are many motivation factors, which can be influenced by social workers themselves or by their direct and/or indirect superiors. Final part of the diploma thesis presents the list of factors. They are classified from the point of view "we can/cannot do something with it". There is also recommendation for supporting the motivation of the social workers to remain in the youth drop-in services, especially by weakening negative factors and strengthening the positive ones.

Aftercare for drug addict mothers and their children

The target of this diploma paper is to describe the specific clients of the programmes for drug addicts - the group of women - mothers who have ever used drugs. To work with this target group, that means to work with the target group of their children too. These children are especially in the pre-school age. One of the institutions that provides care for these women is The Centre for Family, which is a part of The Centre for Prevention and Treatment of Drug Dependence DROP In. In this diploma paper we are going to introduce not only possibilities and methods in the former project "Integration of Family", but we are going to focus on the new project "The Sunflowers'Garden". This project is not only the aftercare for mothers, former drug addicts, but also brings possibility how to focus on the children'development. These children could be threaten by the drugs using during pregnancy and by the social surroundings too. We are going to deal with different target groups, with the group of addict women and former addict women and with the group of thein children. Phenomenon of homelessness in context of welfare services offer in Benešov city.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to familiarize with offer of welfare services for homeless people in Benešov City on the basis of theoretical knowledge and information about phenomenon of homelessness. Also to show the influence of social services offer on the life of homeless person, to call attention to other connections and importance of a form of social service help in a role of low-cost daily centre, doss-houses and field services for people without shelter. For research part of the thesis was chosen a qualitative research for its possibilities to examine some specific broadly defined phenomenon and to bring sufficient amount of information about it. Case study method was used. Results of the research part are summarized in the end. The effect of use of social services offer for homeless people in Benešov city on the quality of their lives is exposed. Discovered conclusions point out to importance of help and support which is offered through social services.

PaedDr. Eva Šotolová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: My work is mapping the question of groups of siblings in the area of system of substitute upbringing. The theoretical starting points of my work are the possibilities of solving the situation with the subsitute upbringing in an appropriate institution and categorization of individual institutions. Furthermore, my work is describing the system of substitute upbringning specifically the forms of fostering. The psychological deprivation of substitute upbringing which is inevitably linked with it is mentioned as well. The work is comparing individual forms of substitute upbringing. The goal of my work are answers to all these questions. What is the siblingrelationship like and what benefits does it bring? Does in the Czech republik exist an integral system of placing the siblings in the substitute upbringing? Which form of substitute upbringing might come into consideration while working with a group of siblings and which is the most suitable for children? Eating disorder

This thesis summarizes the multifactorial causes of eating disorders in the context of current socio-cultural determinants, with a special focus on children and adolescents. The theoretical background for this thesis, as specified in the introduction, is a general overview of the possible causes, occurrence, course, prognosis, and diagnostic criteria of eating disorders, with an emphasis on younger school age and adolescent age. The central topic of my Bachelor's thesis is a questionnaire-based survey of the knowledge, recognition abilities, interventions, general attitudes towards the issue, and the implementation of primary prevention of eating disorders among members of the teaching staff in the sixth to ninth grades of normal elementary schools. The secondary objective of the thesis is to provide statistical data for the last five years due to the increase in the number and hospitalization rate of paediatric and adolescent patients with eating disorders at the Clinic of Paediatric Psychiatry and the incidence of these disorders in combination with a dual diagnosis. The comparative method and a questionnaire were used in this thesis.
