The role of popular culture in British and Czechoslovak art in the 50's and 60's of the 20th century Bachelor thesis approaches the early work of Eduardo Paolozziho and Jiří Kolář, especially their collages created in the 50's of the 20th century. Attention is focused on the relationship between art of the Eastern and the Western block and its social and political context. It represents the situation of the British and Czechoslovak art that influenced both of the creators. Detail is given to collage technique, its history and the way both creators used it and what results independently arrived. The conclusion deals with the issue of the journal and collages which signified pop art approaches. Attention is focused on possible deeper understanding of both collage artists based on tetrade questions by Marshall McLuhan. Subject control of grey literature

Tématem diplomové práce je představení a zhodnocení systémů věcného pořádání v oblasti šedé literatury se zaměřením na Systém pro informace o šedé literatuře v Evropě (System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe, SIGLE) a fond šedé literatury ve Státní technické knihovně, která byla hlavním partnerem pro SIGLE v ČR. V rámci srovnání je dále popsána funkce a věcné pořádání v americkém systému Síťové digitální knihovny diplomových a disertačních prací (Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, NDLTD) a australském systému Australian Digital Theses (ADT). V práci je nejprve charakterizována šedá literatura, definice, dosavadní vývoj a trendy. Následně je popsán elektronický formát diplomové a disertační práce, jejiho vznik a vývoj. Jádro práce bude tvoří samotný popis a srovnání systémů věcného pořádání informací SIGLE, NDLTD, ADT a Polytematického strukturovaného hesláře (PSH). V části věnované praktickému využití předmětových pořádacích systémů je zachycena dosavadní praxe v užívání selekčních jazyků všeobecně a konkrétně v oblasti šedé literatury se specializací na vysokoškolské kvalifikační práce. V závěru jsou shrnuty výsledky srovnání, možnosti využití pořádacích systémů v databázi šedé literatury, která vzniká ve Státní technické knihovně v rámci projektu Digitální knihovna pro...

Phosphate conversion coatings

The main objective of the master’s thesis is to study the influence of phosphate coating structure on the mechanical properties of screw connection. The theoretical part describes the conventional phosphating process and it is followed by an analysis of current knowledge of phosphating technology. Experiments are carried out on screw valves mounted to a high pressure diesel pump by Bosch Diesel s.r.o., made of unalloyed carbon steel. To investigate the effect of the structure on the connection sealing, twelve kinds of phosphate coatings varying in one process parameter were prepared. The monitored parameters determining the phosphate structure are – type of phosphate and activation bath, its temperature and concentration and time of immersion. The sealing connection is examined during simulated assembly process by angle controlled tightening while measuring torque and permanent material deformation. Prepared layers are characterized by determination of weight per unit area and their structure observed by electron microscope.

Reactivity and controll of properties of metallic materials

The main objective of the bachelor thesis is to investigate the reactivity and corrosion of materials, namely of magnesium alloys. The theoretical part comprises a brief summary of the existing knowledge on magnesium alloys in the field of metal corrosion and a description of essential properties of the examined and utilized material. These are followed by the protection technology and a material resistance analysis including the specification of the processes applied in the experimental part. The thesis is focused on a comparison of the microstructure and corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys AZ31, AZ61 and AZ91. The applied methodology lied on metallography preparation of light optical micrographs of the surface-region cross-sections and on corrosion tests. These were carried out in 3% sodium chloride solution where the samples were immersed for the period of 8 hours.

Obsahem práce je zhodnocení hospodářského vývoje Řecka od 90. let do současnosti na základě analýzy účinnosti a vlivu hospodářské politiky na makroekonomické ukazatele a postupné splňování konvergenčních kritérií, zhodnocení využití prostředků z evropských strukturálních fondů a účinku institucionálních a strukturálních změn na fungování trhů a zapojení do mezinárodního obchodu. Zvláštním úhlem pohledu práce je sledování rozdílného tempa v dosahování nominální a reálné konvergence.
