Marketing Strategy of the Selected Company

This diploma thesis deals with the elaboration of proposals for the improvement of the marketing strategy for an optician brand named Valore. Following the theoretical background, this thesis analyzes the current state of the company and its marketing strategy. Based on the findings from the analysis of the internal and external environment of the brand, as well as from a questionnaire survey, specific and feasible suggestions for an improvement of the marketing strategy are created. The proposal part of the work is mainly focused on minimization and elimination of identified weaknesses while making use of strengths and opportunities of the brand. The marketing mix method was chosen to formulate suggestions for the marketing strategy adjustments. Suggestions contain a specific description of the recommended changes that will help to raise the company's awareness and bring in new clients. The proposals are mainly focused on the unification of the current online self-presentation, which is the company's greatest shortcoming. The suggestions include drafts for a redesign of the company's website as well as custom made way of communication on social networks. It also contain adjustments of the discount policy and the use of online customer registration, which is related to customer benefits and newsletters. The proposals were made in detail, including target groups and illustrative examples, so that it could be used by the company. The company is also recommended to employ an external online marketing specialist who will manage marketing communication according to proposals and his or hers own experience. Other suggestions include the modification of the assortment at the Gajdošova shop, so as to improve the identified customer dissatisfaction. A solution is also proposed for a detected problem with an employee in one of the stores, who the company should lay off and replace with a new employee. Among the proposals is also the use of the potential of the company's electric car, for which a design of an advertising sticker is prepared, which will create an affordable mobile outdoor commercial. To save unnecessary costs, it was also proposed to cancel the current advertisement in the BRNO-STŘED magazine, because the return of the costs proved to be almost zero amount.
Mapping Problems of Occupational Therapists Using Selected Standardised Tests in the Czech Republic

Title: Mapping Problems of Occupational Therapists Using Selected Standardised Tests in the Czech Republic Abstract: Using standardized tests is needed because of Evidence-based practice. They include also Box and Block Test (BBT), Nine Hole Peg Test (NHPT) and Purdue Pegboard Test (PPT), which test gross and fine motor skills. All of these tests were made abroad and their manuals existed only in unofficial czech versions. The main aim of this thesis was to map the problems of occupational therapists using BBT, NHPT and PPT. The secondary aim was to describe the advantages and disadvantages of using voice recordings of instruction during the testing. The survey was prepared to achieve the main goal. The survey consisted of 40 questions, which were separated into several parts. The most important part contained the video recordings of specific situations coming from testing. The respondents had to answer, how they would evaluate these situations. The author of this thesis administrated these tests several times and used read instructions and voice recordings to instruct the patients Then she could describe and compare her own experiences from testing to achieve the secondary goal of this thesis. 121 people answered this survey, but 87 of them were relevant. Abstract of the diploma thesis: The aim of the diploma thesis is to map the most common difficulties in people with Parkinson's disease in the field of personal activities of daily living and to compare the subjective perception of difficulties in activities in relation to the motor symptoms. The secondary goal is to compare the objective evaluation of motor symptoms with the subjective one. The theoretical part summarizes findings of Parkinson's disease. Subsequently, motor symptoms, which include rigidity, bradykinesia, tremor, posture and balance disorders are described. Various treatment options are also described. In the occupational therapy part, there is the influence of the symptoms of the disease on the occupational performance and the quality of life of people with Parkinson's disease. Sport addiction

This thesis is dedicated to the issue of addiction to sport and physical activities. The theoretical part includes introducing and highlights of this problem and the circumstances associated with it (the reasons for healthy lifestyle, relaxation, the influence of social networks and the media to human beings). Then I described the signs of addiction to addictive substances and adapted them to addiction to sport (also focused to treatment and prevention). The last chapter of this thesis was the ethical issue of this topic. The practical part had the main goal (using the poll) to find out whether it is possible to create addiction on sport and physical activities and whether it is characterized by the same signs as addiction to addictive substances. I also try to find out the athletes' expectations and the reasons why they are exercising - health reasons, beautiful body or just to be fit.

This bachelor thesis is focused on consequences caused by the inappropriate transfer of a paraplegic from the viewpoint of occupational therapy. The work is focused on the pain of the shoulder girdle, mainly due to overloading during repeated everyday transfers of paraplegics. The theoretical part summarises the findings of the SCI and the spinal cord program. It also provides a description of the strategies of some transfers, together with their evaluation and inappropriate implementation. The theoretical part is widely devoted to the assessment of painful upper limbs and the consequences of an inappropriate transfer such as pain, impingement syndrome or a lost of self-sufficiency. The practical part is based on quantitative research and works with the research question: "What are the main factors influencing the pain in the shoulder of some paraplegics?". The aim of this study is to find whether transfers are one of the major causes of the pain in the shoulder. The other aim is to translate the assessment toll for the painful shoulder and to use it in achieving the first aim. The document required for this is called "The Wheelchair User's Shoulder Pain Index" and has not yet been translated into the Czech language.
