Assessment of empirical formulae for determining hydraulic conductivity
Barenčík, Ladislav ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to check up and compare empirical formulae (Hazen, Slichter, Terzaghi, Beyer, Zauerbrej, Krüger, Kozeny, Zunker, Zamarin, USBR, Pavčič) for determining hydraulic conductivity, which are mostly publicated in different and dimensionally inhomogenous forms. The importance of an accurate determination of hydraulic conductivity and the derivation of a general formula for determining hydraulic conductivity are listed in the first part of this diploma thesis. Assessment methodology and empirical formulae in dimensional homogenous form are described in the following part. Evaluating and comparing of empirical formulae is mentioned in the last part. According to the results of this diploma thesis, the best empirical formula for determinig and estimating hydraulic conductivity is Hazen formula. Formula with the widest range of validity is Slichter formula.
Static Analysis for Discovering Security Vulnerabilities in Web Applications on the Asp.Net Platform
Risk Analysis for Intermittent Water Supply Systems
Alayoubi, Mzayan ; Říha, Jaromír (referee) ; Munka,, Karol (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
Intermitted Water Supply strategy is implemented commonly in some developing countries nowadays in order to minimize the water scarcity problems. Unstable hydraulic conditions in the distribution system, low pressure, high risk of water contamination, wasting water, rising costs paid by consumers and water providers, failures and problems with consumption metering and inconvenience to consumers are some of the consequences. Risk Analysis Methodology is developed to handle with intermittent water supply systems in developing countries conditions that include undesired events identification; risk estimation and risk evaluation and reduction plan, the catalogue list of potential undesired events (UE) which may occur in these types of systems have been also developed using the HAZard and OPerability technique (HAZOP). The developed methodology is implemented and tested in this research on one of the potential undesired events UE _ Low operational pressure
Estimate of Loss of Life by Flood
Brázdová, Miriam ; Tichý, Milík (referee) ; Havlík,, Aleš (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
When analyzing the flood risk using multi-criteria analysis it is necessary to estimate
Assessment of dam safety during the floods
Hala, Mario ; Jandora, Jan (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
The Diploma thesis deals with the safety assesment of the small water reservoir Bartošovice III during the floods, according to requirments of TNV 75 2935 (technical standard). First two chapters are devoted to the description of the dam purpose. Following chapter deals with the summary of basic information and documentation, including hydraulic analysis. In the following section maximum permissible safe water level is determined together with the maximum check flood water level in reservoir which reflects the flood wave transformation. In the final evaluation the comparison of the maximum permissible safe water level with maximum check flood level is carried out. At the end of the thesis recommendations leading to ensuring of reliability and safety of water reservoir are listed.
Strategy for Competitiveness Increasing of a Company
Maleček, Jan ; Říha, Jan (referee) ; Rompotl, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deal with a strategy for increasing of a competitiveness at a co-operative farm. The goal of this strategy is to design a project, which should ensure a better position of the company at the market.
History of BMW engines

The analysis of the methods for the sealing of embankments and their sub-base using cut-off walls
Kachtík, Michal ; Rainer, Vít (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is a survey of possible diaphragm walls technologies applied in water management. The analysis of materials used for their construction, their function and structural arrangement are studied as well. The summary and final evaluation of particular technologies is mentioned in the end of the thesis.
The renewal of the weir and hydropower plant Hlubočky
Hajda, Jindřich ; Rainer, Vít (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of weir and small hydroelectric power plant in lokality Hlubočky-Dukla. This thesis is dividend into two parts: a text and drawings. The text part is further dividend into three main chapters – technical report, hydro-technical and hydro-energy calculations and photos. Technical report deals with description of the site and the propřed technical solution. The individual step sof the design described by hydro-calculations. Photo documentation illustrates the current state.
