Use of TCP/IP Protocols for Algorithm Control in Real-Time Digital Audio Signal Processing
Pilch, Martin ; Plchot, Oldřich (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of protocol for control of digital audio signal processing over TCP/IP networks. The application of this protocol in embedded audio processing units allows to remote control of real-time processing of digital audio signals. The library, this thesis disserts on, allows for superior and faultless transfer of data and accordingly reliable control of audio signal processing at long distances via the local network or Internet. This library is designed to transfer any type of data and can be applied in any sphere.
Removal of a Known Signal from a Recording
Urbánek, Radomír ; Žmolíková, Kateřina (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to design and implement method for removing known signal from recorded sound. In the introductory part of the thesis are described the properties of sound and its propagation through the space, digital signal processing on the computer and the computing of the system impulse response. The sequential development of the methods leading to the removal of the known signal from the recording is described further. The following part contains a description and implementation of this method. It also describes how and at what data the method will be tested. Finally, testing is evaluated, improvements and further possible work is proposed.
Use of Photonic Sensor for Analysis of Railway Traffic
Žilka, Jiří ; Žmolíková, Kateřina (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work was to get acquainted with photonic sensors and characteristics of their output signals. On the basis of experimentally measured data and theoretical analysis of operational situations, to propose a procedure for detecting the number of axles of railway vehicles passed by a given track point using data from a photonic system. Implement the proposed processing variants in a suitable programming language and verify the algorithms on the available samples. Evaluate the obtained signal processing results, ideally by independent measurement or independent processing. The evaluation should include primarily the validity of the results, but also the computational complexity and complexity of the processing. Finally, compare the methods and recommend further development. The added value of the work is to explore the possibility of determining the direction and speed of travel, or other information such as uneven distribution of cargo and weight of cars.
Editor and Manager of Programs for Welding Machines
Ševčíková, Lenka ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The task of this work is to update and complete the graphical user interface for color touch-panel and to add functions simplifying the work of its users. The software is being developed for plasma surfacing machines produced by KSK company. The updates and modernization included the editor and manager of welding programs and new ways of generating welding programs.
Electric Guitar to MIDI Conversion
Subspace Modeling of Prosodic Features for Speaker Verification
Recognition of Home Appliances Based on Their Power Consumption Characteristics
Vaňková, Klára ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Schwarz, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is to design and implement a system for recognition of home appliances based on their power consumption characteristics. This system should identify the individual home appliances from measurements of the total household consumption. The acquired data could be used for statistics of usage of a particular appliance and subsequent detection of errors or non-standard behavior of the measured device. An important part of my work is a design and hardware implementation of a unit for measuring and a system for processing the measured signal. The first version of my project uses pulse output of an electrometer to measure the energy. This method does not provide a sufficient sample rate but it's a quick way to obtain data for processing and analysis. The second version monitors the power consumption with a multi-purpose AC converter which measures active and reactive power with the desired sample rate. The data is then processed and recognized by two classifiers - HMM and KNN.
Parametrizable Music Instrument for Mobile Platforms
Řezáč, Martin ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create an application, which will be primarily used as three-axis parametrizable musical instrument, respectively a modifi ed MIDI controller, suitable for Android devices. Firstly, several products, which are available on the market, are reviewed and the reader is introduced to the problematics of audio synthesis, available technologies and typical Android device potential. The next chapter is dedicated to application design. Few designs are mentioned with focus on the chosen design concept. A part of this chapter is also a speci cation of the original concept, its implementation and advantages/disadvantages. The next part is dedicated to implementation and optiomalization of some of the critical points. Also the tests are evaluated including a survey about application usability. At the end, the whole work is concluded and the further development is outlined.
Searching Acoustic Patterns in Speech Data without Recognition
Skácel, Miroslav ; Fapšo, Michal (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
This work investigates into methods for words, word phrases and longer segments detection in large speech data sets in an unsupervised way. At first, basics for the given topic and principles of modern methods for searching of repeating objects are introduced. The representation and segmentation of the input data are described. Techniques for object detection in speech are presented. The description of found motifs modelling follows. The next step defi nes data sets for experiments in which spoken term detection by an example is performed. The system requirements are described. In the conclusion, the work is summarised and suggestions for further development are discussed.
Transmission of Digital Information over Audio
