Building and using a smaller business computer network
Černý, Jan ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's dissertation is to characterize and specify problems of Local Area Networks. Its first part summarizes the essential theoretical basis that is necessary for comprehension and understanding of the main part of the dissertation which describes a particular case of cooperation with an unnamed transnational company. The theoretical introduction gives the description of the defining characteristics and the classification of computer networks, then it describes the reference model ISO/OSI, and the characteristics of some active pieces of equipment, such as a HUB, SWITCH or ROUTER. In the main part of the dissertation, there is a detailed description of the restructuring of IT and the network infrastructure of a Czech branch office of the transnational company. The task given by the company was to restructure their IT and network infrastructure, to conceive a plan, realize the solutions, and, in case of necessity, to do and complete the installation or configuration. The objectives were fulfilled according to the demands of the head of the Czech office, as well as according to the instructions of the IT department of the company headquarters in Switzerland. At the beginning of the main part of the dissertation there is a description of the initial stage of the IT infrastructure of the Czech branch office before the demand for its development was asked for. Then all the steps of dealing with the tasks are described in detail and the new conditions of the upgraded IT and network infrastructure are described and assessed. The final part of the dissertation is a mix of theoretical and practical block describing the Cisco operating system. There is a short theoretical characteristic and several examples of the possible configuration of swithes and routers in a simulated realization of possible solutions in local area network of a smaller company with the help of the application called Packet Tracer. The last example simulation is aimed at a virtual LAN (VLAN) configuration with the use of two switches and a virtual "trunk" ant its security.
Support of management decision-making on transport networks
Přibyl, Vladimír ; Černý, Jan (advisor) ; Kavička, Antonín (referee) ; Peško, Štefan (referee)
The presented thesis is focused on a set of problems related to managerial decision-making concerning networks (particularly transportation networks), respectively - if we put it more precisely - the thesis focuses on the support of this decision-making by means of quantitative methods. A set of problems related to nets and decision-making concerning their individual parts or elements represents a very complex sphere which has been a subject of research for a number of decades. Out of this sphere, the thesis formulates and elaborates in great detail two problems, which - from the point of view of their practical significance - are important for the decision-making of managers of carriers, or the public sphere, and which have not been published in this form yet. The main point is the problem of how to find a subnet with a limited prolongation of routes between important pairs of vertices. Another problem is a design of a bus route in an area with a low demand. For each of these problems, the thesis offers an exact combinatorial solution method, furthermore a method based on integer linear programming, and - last but not least - also, of course, heuristic methods of solution. All these methods have been tested on a set of networks, which has been created for this purpose in a pseudo-random way in the frame of this thesis. The testing has been focused primarily on the comparison of the results provided by heuristic methods, which are of great importance - with regard to a great computational difficulty of exact methods - for feasible tasks on a larger scale. The tests have proved that the proposed heuristic methods are practically applicable and show results whicheven represent the optimal solution in a number of cases, or are only slightly distant from the optimal solution.
Reproductive characteristics of \kur{Pseudorasbora parva} (Temminck et Schlegel, 1842)

Reproductive characteristics of invasive Topmouth gudgeon (Pseudorasbora parva) and its dependance on piscivory at the chosen ponds was observed.
Scheduling in systems with multiple machines
Černý, Jan ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Zouhar, Jan (referee)
This paper focuses on characterization of scheduling in systems with one or multiple machines. There are different types of tasks given, with which we can encounter in scheduling. At the beginning, introduce basic concepts of production scheduling. The second chapter is a flowshop problem with its history and projections for the flowshop problem. In the next chapter is a modification of flowshop problem called hybrid flowshop, which is divided according flexibility to hybrid flowshop with processing flexibility and hybrid flowshop with routing flexibility. Another chapter is open shop problem, which have some differences compare with the above mentioned types. The last chapter is a job shop, stating in a graphical solution for two machines and a brief description of the algorithm Shifting bottleneck.
Development of trade in goods and services between Germany and countries of the Visegrad Group between 2004 and 2008
Černý, Jan ; Karpová, Eva (advisor) ; Bič, Josef (referee)
This paper examines the trade between Germany and countries of the Visegrad Group (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, thereinafter as V4) from 2004 to 2008. Germany is a very important business partner for all of these countries. It focuses mainly on the influence of the economic development of Germany on trade of these countries and also the influence of the EU eastward enlargement in May 1st 2004, when the countries of V4 joined the internal market of EU. Firstly, the economic development in Germany between 2004 and 2008 is described. Other factors, which influenced the trend in trade between Germany and the countries of V4 are also mentioned. After that, description of the development of trade in goods and services between Germany and each single country follows - before 2004 and between 2004 and 2008. Finally, development of the trade of particular countries is compared. On the basis of this comparison, a strong influence of the development of the German economy mainly on the trade in goods between Germany and countries of V4 is proven. There is also an obvious effect of EU eastward enlargement -- it evoked a strong increase in export and import. Following characteristics are typical for trade between Germany and countries of V4: For all of these countries Germany is the main business partner, but it's share on the trade of these countries is decreasing. Big share of machinery and transport equipment (mainly in Hungary and Slovakia) is also important. Trade in this commodity group strongly depends on the economic situation in Germany.
Qualitative Methods of Evaluating the Competition
Čmarada, Martin ; Černý, Jan (advisor) ; Martinák, Jakub (referee)
The work as itself focuses on the ways, how to compare direct market competitors by quantifying the variables with impact on their market position. Described methods will be explained on practical examples.
Analysis of Transportation Network of a chosen Town
Zákostelská, Eva ; Černý, Jan (advisor) ; Lukšů, Vladimír (referee)
In a selected city to choose a specific decision on the transport problem, describe possible decisions and analyze their strengths and weaknesses. The work analyze the transportation network of Milevsko. It addresses the question of whether it is appropriate to move the bus station from the city center to its edge and on this place to build a supermarket.
Analysis of a Transportation System
Petržílka, Radek ; Černý, Jan (advisor) ; Lukšů, Vladimír (referee)
The presented Bachelor thesis is focused on a logistic sector of a chosen enterprise. It solves primarily the problem of transportation and forwarding. Based on identifiable data, it focuses on the analysis of chosen factors from logistics. The thesis makes full use of available information. Golem Company has been chosen for the analysis of a transportation system. It is a company with a well-built hinterland and specializes primarily in transportation of goods using road freight service. The solved factor is the analysis of variants for foreign trips. It describes the way drivers are used to their full capacity, possible saving of time, the AETR contract. Another logistic factor solved in this thesis is an analysis of a correct decision-making. Organizational incorporation of logistics takes the first place in this firm.
