Visualization of vocal cords movement
Kutálek, Libor ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The main object of these work is show how does vocal organism of a man work and how can we examine it. We are familiarized with methods for objectification of investigation glottis by the help of modern videotechnology. In this work we could found draft of stroboscopic source of light, whitch would be used for investigation glottis in videolaryngosrtoboscopy. In the following part of this work is shown experimental examination functional section, whitch would me used for investigation in practice.

Analysis of Nonlinear Effects in Ultrasound Diagnostics
Čížek, Martin ; Hrazdíra,, Ivo (referee) ; Halámek, Josef (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The model study of nonlinear effects in the ultrasound diagnostics is focused on developing and experimental verification of new computer algorithms for numerical modeling of the ultrasound field including nonlinear effects accompanying the ultrasound propagation in biological tissues. A theoretical analysis of nonlinearities in ultrasound propagation and their contribution to thermal and mechanical effects of diagnostic ultrasound applications was conducted. A numeric model of ultrasound propagating through a tissue model formed of a set of homogenous layers with defined physical parameters was developed in Matlab environment. The computation of ultrasound field spatial distribution is based on the angular spectrum method. For simulating of nonlinearities Burgers nonlinear wave equation is used. The resulting spatial distribution of the ultrasound field is described by the amplitudes of selected number of harmonic components of the acoustic pressure, by the mechanical index, by the harmonic distortion of the signal and by the spatial peak temporal average intensity of all considered components. The numerical model was experimentally verified using an unique ultrasound measurement system – the ultrasound measurement basin. The verified numeric model was used for assessing the veracity of mechanical index and tissue heating prediction during ultrasound applications in cases when the nonlinear effects are neglected in computations. The reliability of the mechanical index indicated by the diagnostic ultrasound instruments is also evaluated using the designed numeric model. The aim was to compare the indicated value usually obtained by derating the measurements in a water medium to the actual mechanical index present in the insonated tissue.
Software for Processing of Head Position Sensor Data
Slávik, Vladimír ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čížek, Martin (advisor)
The paper introduces briefly topics of retinal detachment, vitrectomy and applicable postoperative care. A system for increasing patient comfort is described, which continuously records and signalizes head tilt. The software part of aforementioned system is implemented, using C++ Builder programming environment and helper libraries supplied by system's hardware component vendors. This software application allows user to analyze recorded data and manage the system. Application's user interface and usage is described in detail, as well as implementation details concerning internal functions and organization.
Thermoacoustic measurement of ultrasonic power
Kučera, Václav ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with ultrasound intensity and power measuring methods of the medical diagnostic systems, especially with thermoacoustic method. Then the concept of thermoacoustic sensor is processed and it is checked by comparison with the power of ultrasound system measured by the hydrophone in ultrasonic measuring tank. In the leading chapter basic parameters of general ultrasonic field are described. Next part deals with particular ultrasound intensity and power measuring methods. The last part deals with projecting of the thermoacoustic sensor, measuring with this sensor, measuring with hydrophone and comparison of this measurements.
Jiří Wolf Measurement of the properties of ultrasound system
Wolf, Jiří ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the displaying process evaluation from the resolution capabilities of the ultra-sonic probe point of view. As a part of the thesis a method for measuring the response from point spread function (PSF) and method for measuring the response from linear spread function LSF were designed. Collected data were processed in the Matlab environment. Basic evaluation parameters of the space resolution capabilities were set and used – axial, lateral and traversal resolution.
Ultrasonic blood flow meter
Pavlík, Dušan ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with ultrasound blood flow meter design with emphasis on practical implementation of such device. This medical device is used in ultrasound diagnostic, especially for measuring direction and velocity of blood flow in superficial vessels. This thesis contains consecutive design including description of individual function blocks. Documents for making double-sided printed circuit are included as well.
Model of tissue heating by KV diathermy
Bažantová, Lucie ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the basic theory of the electromagnetic field in the first part and the field interactions with biological tissues. Than describes shortwave diathermy as a technique used for purposes of medical treatment. The aim is to built a model of tissue heating in shortwave diathermy in COMSOL Multiphysics environment, so there is included a description of the programming environment, including the mathematical method that COMSOL uses for calculations. The output of the whole work is a model of the lower limb in the knee part and display the results after his diathermy heating.
MEMS Technology for Tilt Sensing
Kopeček, Pavel ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Dlouhý, Jiří (advisor)
Recently we put more requirements on the equipment around us. And very often we need know, how hung angle-wise of equipment is. Measuring of tilt is very important and used for example in gaming consoles, mobile phone, medical purposes and other. Tilt is calculated per direction of gravity acceleration, it measures by accelerometers. Accelerometer is sensor, which exploit masses inertia to calculate of acceleration. Development put pressure to us and reason is miniaturizing of everything and there is possibility to use micro-electromechanical, so-called MEMS, accelerometers. At last time sensors made by MEMS technology replacing classical mechanic sensors, which is bigger, more power exacting and last time considerably more expensive. But parts makes by MEMS technology aren’t enough accurate for some applications. Despite it is by this principle manufactured much kinds of accelerometers with different technologies of manufacture and work on different principles. We try to compare two accelerometers from two competitive factories.
Noise map in GIS
Keršner, Oldřich ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this Master’s Thesis is noise map creation and processing of measured data using ArcView 9.2 and its extensions. One - year Student Edition of ArcView 9.2 and its extensions have been provided by ARCDATA PRAHA, s.r.o. Noise maps are created from measured data in the neighborhood of the faculty building and the Moravian Square in Brno. Measurement of geographic position of measuring points is realized by GPS. For creation of noise maps, analysis and processing of measured data ArcGIS extensions - Spatial Analyst and Geostatistical Analyst were used. The last part of this Master’s Thesis is specialized on creation of 3D landscape model using ArcGIS 3D Analyst extension.
