Associative electron detachment in collision of negative anion
Dvořák, Jan ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Horáček, Jiří (referee)
Low-energy resonant processes in collisions of electrons, atoms, ions and molecules significantly contributed to the evolution of the early Universe. Much attention has not yet been paid to processes involving lithium atoms and ions. In this thesis, we present the theoretical description of two associa- tive detachment processes of Li with H− and H with Li− within the nonlocal resonant theory. The nonlocal resonant models were constructed from poten- tial energy curves computed by the MOLPRO package of ab initio programs and from electron-molecule scattering data obtained from R-matrix calcula- tions by the UK molecular R-matrix suite of codes. The Lippman-Schwinger equation describing the nuclear motion was solved by the Schwinger-Lanczos algorithm. We developed a new method, which is based on the singular value decomposition method and separates the coupling potential. We predict sev- eral orders of magnitude difference between the temperature-dependent rate constants of the studied collisions at temperatures below 1000 K.
Israeli Defense Forces and Their Status in Society
Testing of identity management systems
Rojo, Robert ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Čížek, Martin (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on the testing of identity management systems. Its main objective is to describe the issue of testing identity management systems and support methodological testing of these systems by defining the approach to testing based on the case study. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the identity management in the organization and the significance of its introduction. It also describes identity management systems that serve to systematically support it through technical means. In the practical part of the thesis, a case study on the implementation of an identity management system in the organization has been carried out. Specific features of identity management systems are identified, with which the approach to testing is designed for the identity management system in the case study. The proposed approach is subsequently verified using the pilot project.
Soviet support of North Vietnam during Indochinese Wars
Balaš, Jan ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Litera, Bohuslav (referee)
This thesis deals with Soviet support of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam since its formation in 1945 until the end of the Second Indochina Conflict. Based on the study of secondary sources, this work tries to chronologically describe its development with highlighting the crucial moments that have influenced soviet support. Through this research, this work concluded that the intensity of soviet support was directly dependent on the current needs of Soviet foreign policy in relation to the Cold War and relations with the Western powers, respectively within the communist bloc and relations with China. As to relations with the West, the Soviet Union sought to improve those relations and the support to the Vietnamese communists held to the extent that it did not directly abolish these efforts. As regards relations with the West, the Soviet Union sought to improve and support the Vietnamese Communists in particular, to the extent that it did not directly abolish these efforts. In the context of China, this work points to the opposite phenomenon. The power struggle within the Communist bloc and the struggle for influence in Vietnam has, on the contrary, provoked increased support in efforts to overcome its competitor. The main contribution of this work is a comprehensive chronological analysis of the...
Anti-homosexual legislation in Russian territory and it's development
Borůvková, Tereza ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Kolenovská, Daniela (referee)
This work is focused on development of anti-homosexual legislation and conditions of decriminalization in the newly established Russian federation. It is focused on attempts to organize Gay Pride festival in Moscow in 2006 and negative reactions of Russian authorities and subsequent lawsuit. The works informs on change in rhetoric with respect to LGBT community, which was cause by medialization of Gay Pride affair as well conservatism that was being established. It describes Russian conservatism that set itself in contrast to the West by its traditional values, which are in alleged conflict with homosexuality. This development reached its summit in 2013 when anti-propagation law was enacted on federal level. We then focus on immediate reaction to enactment of this legislation and its effects. The work draws from academic articles that appeared after enactment of the act and, and importantly also news articles that could capture ensuing event in real time. It becomes apparent that ostracizing of homosexuals in Russia is a long-term trend that is supported by state controlled news agencies and legislative steps. We explain behavior that is subjected to recently enacted anti-propagation act and reasons for its enactment. In addition, we review how this act is criticized by LGBT activists all over the...
Resonant collisions of electrons with diatomic molecules
Alt, Václav ; Houfek, Karel (advisor) ; Čížek, Martin (referee)
This work aims at calculating the cross sections for vibrational excitation of the oxygen molecules by collisons with electrons. Potential energy curves are obtained with standard quantum chemistry methods and the R-matrix method with good agreement with measurable molecular properties, the cross sections are calculated within the local complex potential approximation. It was shown that the results obtained with different, but seemingly satisfactory settings can vary by a significant degree. Comparison with experimental data then point out the insufficiency of the local complex potential approximation. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Investigation of quantum reaction dynamics using semiclassical method.
Táborský, Jiří ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Houfek, Karel (referee)
In the presented thesis we study quantum reaction dynamics of H2O- using semiclassical method. Using ab initio quantum potential evaluated on a fine grid we derive analytical formula for potential energy surface, which is used for solving classical equations of motion. A reaction path is analyzed using contour plots with a focus on a saddle point area. Reaction dynamics analysis is focused on properties of interaction probability and cross section depending on impact parameter, collision energy and initial vibrational state of interacting molecule. Final results are compared with experimental data.
Elementary atomic collision processes in early Universe
Konkrétně jsou zde uvedeny vypočí- tané neelastické účinné pr·řezy dvou reakcí asociativního odtržení Li − a H, resp. Li a H − .
Semiclassical Monte-Carlo method in three particle scattering.
Trnka, Jiří ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Houfek, Karel (referee)
The thesis discusses semiclassical Monte carlo method in three particle scattering. The basic procedure for calculating cross sections of reactions of a single atom with a diatomic molecule is summarized. For the purpose of testing the method, the cross sections of exchange reactions in system H2+H represented by Karplus Porter potential energy surface were calculated. The thesis also deals with chaotic behaviour of threeparticle scattering in a simple model system of coupled Morse potentials. The model system was expanded by incorporating the process of associative detachement, which was studied in combination with long chaotic trajectories. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Particle interaction with atoms in optical lattice
Vozáb, Filip ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Kolorenč, Přemysl (referee)
The thesis discusses description of associative detachment of electron in the iont interaction with neutral atoms in optical lattice. This is given by combination of the model for interaction of particles in optical lattice, given by periodic potential, and of the model for associative detachment of electron, describe by imaginary component of the potential. In thesis is stated form of Schrödinger's equation for periodic potential, and subsequent solution of such equation in case of general complex and non hermitian Hamiltonian (because of imaginary component of potential). I specifically compute complex energetic levels one-dimensional model with numeric method from software package EISPACK for non hermitian Hamiltonian decomposed into finite base.
