Antenna a LNA for multiband GNSS receiver
Ondráš, Michal ; Baran, Ondřej (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This project describesa microwave antenna for GNSS and low noise amplifier. Mikrostrip antenna is a modern type of antenna. This mikrostrip antenna is Dual – band antenna with circual polarization. The thesis describes how to make anantenna, what a circular polarization is, whata patch antenna is and what GNSS is. Low noise amplifier amplifies the antenna output signal.
Automatic elevation and azimuth measurement system
Večeřa, Jindřich ; Kasal, Miroslav (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with an automatic elevation and azimuth measurement system, which will be used for antenna positioning. It is realized by using magnetometer and accelerometer. Important part of the system is tilt compensation and calibration for selected location. This system will send data to PC and also display them on LCD display. This project contains theory of measured quantities, method choice, component choice, realization of wiring, PCB design, programming device, testing device and accuracy determination.
Resonant switched-mode power supply with PFC
Punar, Jan ; Drda, Václav (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the LLC resonant power supply with power factor correction. The first part of the thesis is focused on a selection of a suitable controller for the control of this source. Here the emphasis is mainly on efficiency and EMC. The thesis also deals with the design of the scheme and the selection of suitable components. The thesis contains the design of the LLC power supply itself and also the power factor correction circuit - PFC.
Laboratory High-Frequency Generator
Konzal, Jan ; Záplata, Filip (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes a proposal of laboratory high frequency generator based on the principle of indirect analogue synthesis with a phase sling. The first part of the work describes the principle of a direct numerical and indirect analogue synthesis. Frequency range of the designed generator is up to 900 MHz. The output of the generator is designed to be up to 12dBm. Output impedance is 50 . To reach a frequency of oscillation lower than 800 MHz, the principle of fusion is used. Further, the control was suggested to be carried out by a microprocessor. Operating is realized using a keyboard and a rotary encoder.
MPPT driver for small UAV
Košút, Martin ; Záplata, Filip (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes a design of a maximum power peak tracking controller for a solar cell array embedded on a wing of a UAV. Solar cells are used to both cover part of the UAV power consumption and (at suitable conditions) to charge onboard battery. As the UAV changes its position and attitude to the sun relatively fast, the lighting conditions on the solar cells change rapidly. Thus, it is necessary to implement a fast maximum power peak tracking regulator to ensure maximum efficiency of the system. The proposed design is based on commercial offtheshelf components. The implemented DC/DC converter, which represents the core of the regulator, is a combination of a stepup and a stepdown converter. Weight, dimensions end overall efficiency were the key optimization parameters of the design.
Digital filtration in 8-bit microcontrollers
Záplata, Filip ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor’s thesis is a digital filtration using the 8-bit processors. Digital filters are in use a lot and gradually outdoing analog equivalents. Their advantages are indisputable, but computing still inhibits bigger progress. Generally used microcontrollers do not have very powerfull core, so there is effort to apply as bright as possible algorithms. Program code can be written in C language or assembler eventually is possible to combine both languages. The task is to make a library of functions based on some powerfull algorithms for filtering. Testing those libraries and comparing their useability focused on maximal speed and universality of use and review ways of programming.
Modulator and demodulator for microwave link
Martinec, Matěj ; Frydrych, Jiří (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This work is dealing with the design of intermediate part of transmitter and reciever that use digital BPSK and QPSK modulations for microwave link that works in 24 – 26 GHz bands. Besides choosing the suitable modulator and demodulator there was need to provide proper connection of this part with transceiver Nortel CTR26-01M. Input and output of this intermediate part was take out to baseband, where was need to ensure the transfer of diferential inputs of modulator and demodulator to symetric leading for reason of data communication with PC, for which was created the algorithms to provide transmitting and receiving data. Complete structure controlled by the microcontroller has been enliven and furthemore there was created the measurement of chosen parameteres.
HID Touch Pad Reference Design
Děcký, Miroslav ; Záplata, Filip (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the draft and design of HID periphery Touchpad. The Kinetis microcontroller produced by NXP, TSI periphery and embedded library NXP Touch are used for the design. The resulting device is connected as USB HID type mouse or trackpad. Hardware part of the project is implemented by whole MCU Kinetis Family on PCBs designed by author, one part also uses evaluation kits NXP Freedom KL25z and KE15z.
Antennas controller in azimuth and elevation
Lyko, Antonín ; Záplata, Filip (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
Document describes the realization of an interface to control antenna rotators using a computer. It explain ways of external control antenna rotators, the current solution to this problem and suggested a new possible solutions. The conclusion presents itself with the implementation of imperfections in the design and appropriate solution.
Small CNC machine
Moštěk, Jiří ; Matěj, Zdeněk (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and construction of a three-axis CNC machine primarily designed for PCB drilling and production of front panels for various electronic devices. All three axes are driven by stepper motors NEMA 23 which are connected to stepper motor drivers L6470. Processor STM32F407 is used to control the whole machine. The wiring is completed by a LCD display with touchscreen which is used to communicate with user. Data for drilling can be entering manually or via USB inerface. Part of this thesis is the selection of a suitable construction and components, assembling equipment, wiring design of electronic circuits and writing the code to control the machine. Finally, the parameters of the designed device have been measured.
