Arts And Language In The Early Work Of Friedrich Nietzsche
Kvapil, Matouš ; Novák, Aleš (advisor) ; Chavalka, Jakub (referee)
KVAPIL, M.: Arts And Language In The Early Work Of Friedrich Nietzsche. (Master thesis) Charles University In Prague, Faculty Of Humanities, Department Of Europhilosophy. Supervisor: doc. Mgr. Aleš Novák, Ph.D. This work aims to examine the early philosophical and esthetical concept of Friedrich Nietzsche, which is elaborated in his first published work The Birth of Tragedy from the spirit of Music (Die Geburt der Tragödie aus dem Geiste der Musik, 1872). This concept, based on a mutual tension between the Apollonian and Dionysian, will be examined mostly from the perspective of a significant "struggle" of Dionysus and Socrates. Its manifestation is first apparent as a contradiction between theoretical and tragical world understanding or a contradiction between optimism of science and pessimism of arts. The work will mostly focus on the origin of the theoretical optimism, which is coming from the human "will to truth". Its archetype is represented in Nietzsche's early philosophy by Socrates. The problem, which comes to light with this struggle of Dionysus and Socrates, will necessarly lead the work to examine Nietzsche's critique of cognition led by the metaphysical understanding of the term "truth". The basis of this critique lies in the metaphorical character of language and human cognition in...

Novák, Aleš ; Jansa, Jiří (referee) ; Blecha, Radim (advisor)
Thesis deal with proposal construction Chalder for centreless grinding machine Jupiter 125. Chalder is designed for workpiece with maximum average 12 mm, maximum longitude 120 mm and mass 0,1 kg. In the thesis are described components that were used at solving and intended time exchanges workpiece, the economics estimation and processed needed design documentation.
Boiling two phase flow in a coil-shaped duct combined with heat conduction in solid body
Novák, Aleš ; Hrubý, Jan ; Kozel, Karel
Forced-convection boiling in a coil-shaped duct heated from the outer side has an advantage of enhancing the heat transfer and reducing the risk of boiling crisis by pushing the liquid against the outer wall due to centrifugal force. Because of the large heat fluxes, the heat conduction in the solid walls is taken into account. The model is based on differential equations of mass, momentum and energy conservation. In the resulting quasi-1D model, the liquid and vapor phases are allowed to flow at different velocities. The model simulates a laboratory steam generator built in Institute of Thermomechanics AS CR.
Numerická simulace separovaného dvoufázového proudění vařící se vody v kanálu o tvaru cívky
Novák, Aleš ; Hrubý, Jan
This work deals with a quasi-1D mathematical model of flow of a boiling liquid-vapor mixture in a coil-shaped duct heated from the outer side of the coil. The liquid and gas phases are allowed to flow at different velocities (stratified flow regime). The model simulates a modification of the laboratory steam generator built in Institute of Thermomechanics AS CR. The liquid is centrifuged to the heated wall thus enhancing the heat transfer. The model also includes heat conduction in the metal body of the steam generator.
