Analysis of Strengthening Reinforced Concrete Slabs Against Punching Shear
Nováček, Jan ; Halvoník,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vítek,, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the topic of the punching shear of the reinforced concrete structures with a focus on an additional strengthening. The introduction of the thesis is devoted to the research of various types of strengthening against the punching and their efficiency on an increase of load-bearing capacity. Material nonlinear models are formed for strengthening by an additional concrete head, a slab concrete overlay and a column concrete jacketing. The results from the nonlinear analysis are compared with various standards, including the new generation of Eurocodes. Detailed analysis of an additional concrete head is performed regarding governing inputs, which influence load-bearing capacity. Theoretical assumptions were applied to the design of the additional concrete head, where long-term measurement has been performed for the comparison with the analytical assumptions and the material nonlinear model. The second part of the thesis deals with the strengthening of foundation structures, which are accessible only from one surface. There is presented newly developed technology for strengthening by the additional shear reinforcement with the combination of bonding and mechanical anchorage. The assessment of proposed technology is defined for the strengthening against punching shear based on tested samples. The detailed technological procedure is described, including the procedure for the application on the structures below ground water level. Long-term measurement of the shear reinforcement was carried out for the strengthened foundation slab.
Use of ultrasonic phased array technique for non-destructive testing of the HRK socket at the VVER 440 reactor
Nováček, Jan ; Kusmič, David (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis describes the design of a test system for non-destructive ultrasonic inspection of the HRK on the nuclear reactor VVER 440. Using the designed test system, the basic material interface of the HRK 22K steel shell with the weld on ZIO-8 was verified by the advanced ultrasonic Phased array method. The functionality of the designed test system consisting of the TOPAZ 32 device, the 5L64-A32 probe and the STIX manipulator was tested on three standards with variously large artificial defects. The sensitivity of the test system was set using an artificial defect in the form of a groove 0.7 mm high based on simulations in CIVA 2020 software. The functionality and sufficient sensitivity of the system with a deviation of ± 1 mm for the height of the indication and ± 5 mm for the length of the indication were confirmed by performing experimental measurements on standards.
Design of prestressed bridge near Nitra
Komárková, Petra ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This Master’s thesis concerns a design of the highway bridge over Nitra River in Nitra, Slovakia. Three variants were designed from which one was selected and analyzed in detail. It is a three box cell girder made of post-tensioned concrete and constructed as a free cantilever bridge. The bridge is assessed according to Eurocodes. The limit states for persistent and transient design situations were taken into account at carrying out the design. There are drawings attached to this thesis as illustrative drawings of the bridge and its construction stages, drawings of the prestress tendons and reinforcement.
Frame bridge over a local brook
Řezníček, Martin ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is the design of reinforced concrete bridge in one field over the local stream. The brigde is designed as a frame construction with trapezoidal board and with reciprocal pitch. Individual parts of the construction were assessed from the point of view of ultimate and serviceability limit state.
Static anylsis of tank roof
Sicha, Jakub ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on static analysis, design and check of tank roof. There is design and check of main load-bearing elements of tank roof in this thesis according to ČSN EN 1992.
Foundation of tall buildings
Kubínek, Michal ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes design and assessment of foundation of tall building. Existing reinforced concrete slab-pile foundation structure was assessed as unsatisfactory at the ultimate limit state. Design of two new options was processed: slab-pile foundation with adjusted slab thickness and slab foundation without piles. Both options were assessed at the ultimate limit state and the serviceability limit state. Foundation options were designed as water-impermeable structure of white tank and meet requirements for this type of structures.
Design of a prestressed concrete bridge on the road I/38
Valent, Matej ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of an additionally prestressed and horizontally curved bridge structure on the 1st class road. The bridge is located on the newly emerging southeast bypass near the Czech town of Havlíčkův Brod. Three variants of the main supporting structure were proposed, with the choice being a chambered cross-section with inclined side walls. The total span of the bridge, with a length of 273,0m, was divided into 7 spans. The thesis also includes the design of the construction sequence. An assessment of the ultimate limit state and serviceability was carried out. Visualization and drawing documentation have been prepared for the thesis.
Information System Assessment and Proposal of ICT Modification
Nováček, Jan ; Novák, Lukáš (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on assessing the information production system of a company and proposing improvements. The theoretical part describes the concepts related to this topic. The theoretical part is followed by an analytical section focused on analyzing the external and internal environment of the company and its production information system, evaluating its overall effectiveness and security. Based on the findings from the analytical section, a proposal for addressing identified deficiencies is presented in the final section of the thesis.
Moments of Crisis in Social Work with Homeless People
NOVÁČEK, Jan
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to describe the causes of homelessness, the barriers of returning to normal life and the possibilities of social work with homeless people. The Bachelor thesis consists of two parts; theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is further divided into two smaller parts, which are divided into chapters. The first of these smaller parts deals with the general issue of homelessness, explanation of the concept of homelessness, typology of homelessness, social exclusion, causes of homelessness and the issue of living on the streets. The second part deals with the description of social assistance with emphasis on the corresponding forms in social work area. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on academic literature and other available resources that deal with the issues of homelessness and social work. The practical part of this thesis presents research that involves semi-structured interviews. The method chosen by the author is interviewing. The questions are presented to homeless people. Based on their answers, the author clarifies what prevents these people from returning to ordinary life. The methodological section describes the methods and strategies used in data collection, and the selection of respondents associated with the research.
Design of concrete structure of the Letná hotel in Prague
Koníček, Jakub ; Nováček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The presented master thesis contains the design of selected elements of the supporting structure of the Letná congress hotel. The thesis deals with the design of a six-storey hotel cantilever over 20 m long, which rises over the entrance portals of the Blanka tunnel complex. Moreover, the specificity of the whole project is the necessity to carry out the entire construction of the mentioned part without touching the ground. The described problem was solved primarily using two double to 3 m high prestressed concrete beams. One pair of beams is designed above the roof plane and the other below the plane of the first floor in the cantilever. The tensile forces induced in the vertical supports are transferred by the prestressed columns and with the help of the walls. Construction without ground contact is carried out using suspension on temporary hangers. In the present thesis work, the main beam of the cantilever H1, D1, reinforced concrete slabs of given levels forming the T-section flange of the main beams, the spread walls, the transverse walls under the transversal frames with the main beams and the respective columns have been designed. SCIA Engeneer 22.0, Idea StatiCa Beam 22.0, Idea StatiCa Detail 22.0, PTC MathCad Prime 8, and MS Office 360 Excel 2022 were used to solve this complex construction stage-dependent problem.
