Own family house

The design of multi-generation house on the piece of land which belongs to the investor family for six generations is based on the proportions of a traditional Czech Elbeland house. The resulting layout provides a logical construction in stages according to the actual needs of the young family. Dimensionally, the building is trying to convey the dialogue between the optimal contours of the thermal envelope of passive house and the traditional silhouette. Lamina part of the roof jacket assumes abbreviated form of this silhouette, creating a soft transition zones between the interior and exterior - stoop and covered terrace. Cubic mass of the building protrudes slightly from this outlines, making the composition more surprising. The house is designed in a passive energy standard, using hay bales as insulation and adobe bricks (made on site from local clay) as a filling for non-bearing partitions to improve thermal accumulation properties of the object. Structures are mostly wooden and from agglomerated wooden materials. The whole design is based on the assumption of self-help construction, taking into account the least possible interference in the landscape we very much respect.

Český Těšín - The Ressurection

The aim of my diploma project was to find a concept for a future use of the area between Jablunkovská and Frydecká streets in Český Těšín. My urban design evaluates the potential of an area and allows future expanse of the city. In the detail I focused on a revitalization of the old factory building which has no use for about last 20 years.

Fashion museum - Tokyo 2010

The project consists in developing a 100mt high tower, harmonizing with contemporary Japanese architecture, as a symbol of vanguard and daring, in addition serving as a landmark for Tokyo city. The museum houses expositions of the fashion history of the 20th century, and also exhibition space where contemporary fashion designers present their recent work, it counts with a basic program that will occupy less than a 4,000m2 area. The project will be located on a determined plot at Omotesando Street in Tokyo. There is also a space where models will parade for a selected audience; it projects outside the main structure of the building , allowing pedestrian and other building’s users from different areas of the city to watch the fashionshows. The Japanese garden at the very top of the building has the traditional Japanese vegetation and components, suitable for Tokyo’s wheather.

Water City

Waterworld artificial island is a fantastic response to the current global challenges. It conjures up are the challenges of global change, ecological way of life and scientific progress. Responds directly to the phenomenon of global warming and consequent rising sea levels, resulting in millions of people literally lose the ground. A floating artificial island is one of the possible variants of solving the problem.
