Analysis of cloud storage market

The first part of the bachelor´s thesis is about cloud computing. It describes general principles, characteristics, models, strengths and weaknesses. The second part focuses on cloud storage services. The main objective of thesis is the cloud storage market´s analysis carried out in the form of comparison between chosen cloud storage providers, based on multi-criterial decision making. The comparison is based on appropriately categorized criteria. Objective of theoretical part is to define cloud computing and its division, describe weaknesses, strengths and pricing models. The contribution of this work is analysis processing, which can serve as a guideline for what to choose or as a model for creating other comparisons.
A proposal of controls for identity and access management system

Nowadays, the focus of IT security is increasingly concerned with the safety of the identities of employees and users of information systems. This phenomenon is even more compounded by the rapidly growing number of cloud services. This thesis briefly explains the basic concepts of access control and identity management. The thesis also contains identification of requirements and implications of risks on identity and access management system. The main objective is the general design of controls for identity and access management system, which has been designed to match legislative requirements, regulations, standards or frameworks commonly used in enterprise IT practice. For describing of the controls, mainly Cobit framework and IT Assurance Guide were used. The thesis also contains a suggestion how to adjust proposed controls in a cloud environment.
Optimalisation of the test process using open source tools for automated tests

Diploma thesis deals with the implementation of automated tests to the process of testing web applications. Introduction of the theoretical part is devoted to familiarizing the reader with the concept of testing and illustration of its importance not only in software development. Author then defines the term, introduces the principles, and attention is paid to the interpretation of terms which are commonly used in testing. The next section contains specific division of this process in terms of of the used techniques, methods and levels of testing. By description, and stating the fundamental differences between manual and automated testing creates conditions for understanding the issues, on which work is focused. At the end of theoretical part there are characterized basic models of software development life cycle, in which the process of testing has its place. In the practical part the author at first draws attention to introduction of of web application in which automated tests will be implemented. Subsequently, based on the introduced methodology, he analyzes the process of testing this application. He defines the reasons for the implementation of automated testing, he marks the areas of coveragecreates working team and the timetable for implementation. On the basis of established criteria justifies the choice of tools to be used in automation. In the next chapter he accompanies reader systematically across the entire process of creation and implementation of automated tests, and intentionally complements it with practical examples. End is devoted to assessment of the results that have been achieved by the implementation of automated tests. By comparing them with manual tests author determines the effectiveness of automation. Calculating the estimated savings is determined by the return on investment in automated tests.
Decision-making about cloud service providers with respect to data security

Organizations that during the past years become accustomed to run its services on its on-premise solution, have increasingly to decide if they will in these days continue to operate their IT services in this way, or take advantage of new opportunities for cloud-based solution. However, the transition to this new technology, which entrusts their data into the hands of external companies, accompanied by a fear of security of their sensitive data. The main objective of this thesis is to propose a reference model that will assist organizations in their selection process of cloud service providers with respect to data security. In conclusion the quality and usefulness of this reference model is validated by knowledge and information, which are obtained during interviews with IT specialists.
HR information systems and their importance for organization

This thesis deals with theme of Human Resources information systems, sub domain of information systems. Focus of theoretical part of this work is to familiarize reader with term HRIS, its history and evolution, define importance for organization and its environment. Define and critically evaluate its benefits for organization, typical users of HRIS and architecture models, find, evaluate and discus present and future trends. Practical part is focused on solving present situation in real organization that has issues with its HRIS and IT/IS support of HR processes. Main goal of thesis is critically evaluate status of firm and recommend best solution. Findings from theoretical part are applied to analyze and evaluate needs of organization. At the end, recommendation is stated.
Analysis of IaaS market

The thesis focuses on cloud computing which has become technological trend in the last years and possibilities how to use IT services. Still more expanding offer of cloud services brings new ways for organizations how to efficiently utilize capabilities. The main objective of thesis is the Infrastructure as a service market's analysis carried out in the form of comparison between chosen IaaS public cloud providers, based on multicriterial decision making. For purposes of the analysis are set appropriately categorized criteria on which basis is provider's comparison performed. Partial objectives of theoretical part is the definition of cloud computing and its division, description of strengths and weaknesses, characteristics of IaaS market situation. The contribution is an actual comparison of IaaS providers respected to specified criteria.
Startup development methodologies, comparison and application, evaluation of acquisition and activation of customers using web analytics tools

The thesis deals with the issue of startups and methodologies of their development. Main aim is to explain chosen approaches to development of startup, compare them and then retrospectively use them in an e-shop selling clothes, determine mistakes of past development in relation to the methodologies and evaluate their suitability for specific business of specific product (clothes) distribution in the Czech Republic. Another equally important aim is to assess the effectiveness of acquisition and activation of customers of the e-shop using web analytics tools and evaluate behavior of visitors.
Effective corporate management in the period of economic crisis

This thesis deals with utilization of strategic concept Balanced Scorecard for enterprise management and IT Balanced Scorecard for enterprise Informatics management. Both these concepts are applied for prosperity and crisis periods. The output of thesis is processed by means of using concept Balanced Scorecard for period of economic prosperity and crisis. Following that application of this concept are in created strategic maps in thesis, which show relationships between objectives in each perspective of Balanced Scorecard. The solution provides sight of enterprise management for two observed periods. There is visible continuity of individual objectives on primary objective of company. Model includes influence of ICT on enterprise management. From model is evident, that with using application Balanced Scorecard concept in crisis period is more effectively management due to the high savings rate. Result of this thesis is comparation of set objectives, at which is used SMART method both in times of economic prosperity and crisis. It is applied at classic Balanced Scorecard and simultaneously also at its derivation IT Balanced Scorecard. For the scientific method can be described secondly comparation of both observation periods and then build a model of both strategic maps.
Internet marketing tools and their application within Zoot company

This Diploma thesis is focused on the Internet marketing tools, which are suitable for the Company aimed at selling consumable goods. These Internet marketing tools are applied within Zoot Company. Diploma thesis is divided in two logical parts, theoretical and practical. Individual tools are introduced and intimately analysed in theoretical part. For all mentioned tools, there is a definition of their advantages, description of the process, how to manage those tools, the process models and the description of the tools for their evaluation. The practical part is based on the theoretical part. This part contains the analysis of the Zoot Company and its competitors and the analysis of Zoot's usage of the Internet marketing tools defined in theoretical part. The end of the practical part contains recommendations, how to improve the Internet marketing tools management. Main benefit of the theoretical part is the framework of Internet marketing tools, which are suitable for the Company aimed at selling consumable goods and their process adaptation. The benefit of the practical part is the intimate analysis of Zoot Company and its usage of the Internet marketing tools from theoretical part together with recommendations how to improve the Internet marketing tools management.
Business Intelligence reporting tools and possibilities

This bachelor thesis focuses on the area of Business Intelligence. The aim is to show the basic BI, analysis of new trends in this area and comparison of selected reporting tools according to established criteria. In bachelor thesis was achieved the stated objectives becoming familiar with the concept of BI, its basic principles and general architecture. The bachelor thesis analyzes the main trends in this area. The practical part contains a comparison of selected reporting tools and criteria for this comparison. This work give readers generally knowledge in BI, can also serve as a basis for the selection of reporting tools.
