Globalization and Air Transport: Strategies of Central European Legacy Carriers

As the world changes because of the globalization, the environment of the aviation changes as well. The airlines are forced to adapt to these changes and choose new strategies to operate successfully. The main objective of this thesis is to, according to the title, describe, identify and explain the processes which significantly affect current image of the world of aviation and focus on four Central European legacy carriers. The issues of globalization and its affect on behavior of economic actors, which airlines are, are discussed as first. The following part is dedicated to the characteristics of aviation and its components, the milieu and the behavior of the airlines as well as the newest strategic trends that are being chosen is described as well. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical one where the particular steps of examined airlines are analyzed and explained. The hypotheses concerning the probable behavior and adopted strategies of four analyzed carriers are expressed according to the discovered theoretical principles of the operations of current legacy (network) carriers. Whether the hypotheses are completely or partially confirmed, is discussed at the end of the empirical chapter. Fieldwork education of cross-curricular themes in geography: environmental education

This piece presents some kind of manual to create fieldwork environmental education in geography, with correct methods and forms. It contains three chapters, first and second are about theory of environmental education, the third one presents this kind of education practically. First chapter presents theory of environmental education, finds the main themes which are important for environmental education, the goal of it and the importance for the future. Also shows the place of the environmental education in curricular documents in domestic and in foreign country. Second chapter is about methods and forms which are useful for education of this theme. The second chapter also presents advantages and disadvantages of various methods and forms and useful equipment. Third chapter presents the concrete examples of destination that are useful for the concrete fieldwork I'm presenting. Shows the basic characteristics of the places and the reasons why I have chosen them. There is the detailed list of the competent goals for the concrete education at the concrete places.
Confronting of transport-geographic and socio-geographic regionalizations of Slovakia on example of Bratislava mezo-region

ABSRACT The Bachelor thesis devotes to confrontation created transport-geographic and socio- geographic regionalization of Bratislava mezo-region with existing administrative and socio- geographic regionalization of Slovakia. The introductory chapter describes different regionalization approaches, and balances different regionalizations of Slovakia, in which base defines the research questions for the Bratislava mezo-region transport-geographic regionalization analysis. In the next part of the thesis author's transport-geographical regionalization methodology based on transport gradient and public transport operation analysis and partially resembling to socio-geographical regionalization approaches is described. The methodology is then applied into the definition of transport-micro-region in the Bratislava hinterland. The defined transport-micro-region is confronted with the existing socio-geographic regionalization of Slovakia and currently existing administrative hierarchy. The final chapter presents the main transport operations influencing factors including a discussion of the individual factors impact determining discrepancy between each regionalization. Historical and geographical case studies on the development of the area and sites with road Prague - Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav

- The goal of this study is to have a look on the historic path as an important factor, which locating socioeconomic nature of certain activities at different times in the neighborhood, and see how these activities modify or change in terms of contemporary circumstances and local geography. Thus, how this path affected areas near the surrounding landscape, which brings together over two sites in the pre-industrial period, during the industrial revolution and also at the time of transformation - the present time. In each of the three chapters, an attention devoted within a defined period of specific activity. In pre-industrial period, special attention was devoted to the contemporary conditions and capabilities of inns and wholesalers of agricultural output, for the period of the industrial revolution a location of the food industry was anticipated and in the chapter of the present time the aim was to bring urban sprawl in terms of monitored communities. During the task all available information obtained from the cited sources and interviews to create a comprehensive picture of the phenomenon observed in a given period and formulate a conclusion on the proposed hypothesis were compared.
