Geographic unipolar anamorphosis with the use of GIS
Žáková, Zuzana ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Lysák, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to propose an algorithm for visualization of spatial digital geographic data, including both thematic and topographic content of a map, using unipolar anamorphosis method with the use of GIS. Three different approaches for transformation of topographic content of a map are discussed. In addition to the algorithm, a methodology of displaying spatial data using this method is presented. The problems associated with the use of geographic unipolar anamorphosis are described, geographic phenomena which can be visualized by this method are determined, and requirements for digital data input are defined. The practical output of this thesis is a toolbox for the ArcGIS software by ESRI which serves to visualize geographic data by unipolar anamorphosis method.
Thematic atlas of beer industry in Czechia
Skolek, Ondřej ; Lysák, Jakub (referee) ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor)
Thematic atlas of beerindustry in Czech Republic Abstract The main intention of this thesis is to make a thematic atlas of brewery in the Czech Republic. The maquette of atlas is add as a supplement. The search part contains a brief history of Czech brewery and the present state of it, with adumbration of future development. The most important Czech brew-houses are mentioned too. The second search part introduces another thematic atlas-books on our market. The methodical part describes projecting of the atlas and making of particular maps. The last part is the discussion, presentating the main problems, which appeared during making the atlas itself. Keywords: thematic atlas, brewering
Monitoring land cover changes using satellite high temporal resolution data
Indrová, Magdalena ; Lysák, Jakub (referee) ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor)
The objective of this work is to create a base of spectral characteristics of the monitored vegetation types and to create a classification of the land cover. In this work MERIS images obtained by KAGIK were used. Ten different categories of land cover were selected for the study. The spectral behaviour of all categories for the period April - November 2009 was determined. The spectral response of some defined categories (coniferous forests, developed areas) was stable during the year. Contrary to that, significant changes in the spectral response of agricultural crops were observed. The best results were obtained in the categories Forests and Oilseed rape. Finally, the method of Spectral Unmixing was also tested. This method is used when some pixels contain several cover types. Using this method the best result was also obtained in the category Forests. It is evident that the MERIS images can be used for monitoring land cover changes, but because of the coarse resolution only large and homogeneous areas can be studied.
Analysis of price, time and distance accessibility diferentitation in the Czech railroad system
Hanes, Zuzana ; Lysák, Jakub (referee) ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor)
Analysis of differences in price, time and distinct measures of accessibility for eské dráhy Abstract The main aim of this thesis is to resolve the issue of accessibility in the passenger rail network of eské dráhy in the Czech Republic. Secondary objectives are the analysis of distance, time availability, and price of passenger rail service. The main sources are the Railway Timetable 2009 and the geographic database Arc R 500. Basic tool for the processing is geographic information system (GIS) with extension Network Analyst. The main aim of the thesis is to provide a database with the values of distance, time availability and price. Secondary aims are to produce partial maps which present various types of accessibility. Part of the results are also the methodology for establishing different kinds of accessibility, the evaluation of methods used, and quality assessment models used in relation to the database and partial results of comparison with the literature. Keywords: transport accessibility, rail transport, network analysis, accessibility, availability of models, Network Analyst
Adaptive text retrieval system
Lysák, Jakub
This paper deals with using of the neural networks in information retrieval. There are studied and described some already implemented information retrieval systems based on neural networks and summarized possible advantages and disadvantages of this access in this paper. On the basis of them is designed the own adaptive system called ADIS, built on layered network and the backpropagation algorithm. System simulates user's imaginations using term association acquired from relevance feedback. Design contains discussion of different variants, options and parameters of the system. The thesis also includes implementation and practical tests on collection containing about thousands documents.
The Comparison of Selected Map Servers in the Czech Republic
Šístková, Tereza ; Toman, Prokop (advisor) ; Lysák, Jakub (referee)
The presented thesis aims to create a methodology in order to compare selected map servers. The introductory section generally describes maps that could be found on the internet followed by their division focused on the interactive maps. The next chapter is devoted to the selected map portals and describes their functions. The following part directly approaches the evaluation methodology. First, there are suggested criteria for the evaluation of map applications in several respects and their description. Then comes the evaluation and comparison of map servers according to the proposed criteria and their overall evaluation. The choice of criteria relevance is based on the questionnaire among users. The conclusion of the thesis includes recommendations and practical advice for the map server developers.
The Economic Aspects of Accessibility with Use of Public Railway Traffic
Plencnerová, Zuzana ; Eisler, Jan (advisor) ; Lysák, Jakub (referee)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the investment efficiency to the traffic buildings. Theoretical part describes the history of the traffic sector and the railway traffic, the ownership and financing of the railway infrastructure. Next section describes the characteristic of railway corridors, basic principles of their modernization and optimizations and methods for the evaluation of investment efficiency. In practical part is focused on design of an own methodology for the evaluation of investment efficiency to the traffic building according to savings of passengers' time. The investment efficiency to the railway corridors is assessed using proposed methodology.
