The Active Music Reception

Listening to music in the process of education is beneficial for a pupil only in case it is realized by means of active creativeness. To meet this requirement specific activities concerning music listening are applied in the framework of receptive music teaching. The dissertation proposes a so called dynamic model to function as an ideal solution to didactic transformation of music. The model enables to set up such classroom conditions in which pupils find it easier to observe elementary items and structures of music and thus comprehend music speech as a whole. Naturally then, a presentation of a particular piece of music via this model depends on teacher's abilities and skills. Nonetheless, the achieving of success in receptive music teaching is determined primarily by pupils' profundity and intensity of reception. Teaching pupils to listen to music in an active way represents teaching them to handle music through the use of creative musical activities and simple cognitive processes. In other words, on the basis of their own activities pupils penetrate into basic essentials of music i.e. they analyze music, identify its functional elements, detect structural constituents of music and thus decode its message. Jan Antonín Reichenauer - Church music with Regards to Litanies

8. Summary Jan Antonin Reichenauer was a prominent Prague composer in the first third of the eighteenth century. Although church music forms a fundamental part of his compositional output, he was also a renowned composer of instrumental works. Liturgical compositions, masses, motets, offertories, sacred arias, litanies and vespers, frequently inaccurately marked with the name of the composer (Reichenaur, Reichenau), were performed by church choirs both in Prague and beyond. In addition to Czech music collections and archives (the Prague Castle Archive, the Music Collection ofthe Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, compositions from monastery collections assembled in the Czech Museum of Music) many instrumental compositions have been preserved in Dresden, Wiesentheid, Darmstadt and Vratislav. Reichenauer's work was influenced by the Neopolitan School of the first half of the eighteenth century, particularly by the works ofF. Durant a D. Sarr. Very little is known about his life. I found a lot of information in the church records of christenings and deaths in Prague's Little Quarter. Milan Uherek Personality as the Founder of Children's Choir Severáček

The thesis focuses on introducing the personality of the choirmaster Milan Uherek, a founder of the Severáček children's choir. In the first chapters, it tries to capture the importance and specifics of children's choir singing in the pedagogical sphere (with respect to ethical, esthetical and hygienic aspects) and in the specialized, educational sphere. They show that the success of choir work and internal harmony of the choir are dependent on the choirmaster's personality. The following chapters therefore deal with the description of professional, character and organisational prerequisites that should be represented in the choirmaster's personality. Based on the identified general findings, the personality of Milan Uherek is introduced, his life story and lifelong artistic activity associated particularly with the foundation and leadership of the Severáček children's choir. The last chapters of the thesis try to capture both musical and non-musical principles on which Milan Uherek built the many-year successful activity and existence of his choir.
School for soprano fipple flute for elementary schools

This dissertation is concerned with the matter of teaching to play on soprano fipple flute the children at first degree of elementary school within the lessons of Music. In its theoretic part the dissertation gathers known pieces of information about this instrument, teaching, possibilities of learning and it introduces to compendium of the most used student books and publications teaching how to play the instrument. Practical part sets the target to describe and map this problems as one of possible methods of teaching process on the base of own experiment trying to create own publication of how to learn to play instrument.
The choir life in Šumperk area

This thesis deals with choir life as an important part of music in the district of Šumperk with a special respect to children's choirs. This topic is introduced to the reader in the first chapter which reviews generally the choir tradition of the region. A separate chapter is dedicated to choir festivals and competitions which describes chiefly an international festival Krajina zpěvu (The Land of Singing) that in terms of its extent and significance surpassed the bounderies of the district. Special attention in the thesis is paid to five children's choirs whose participation in the choir life there is the most outstanding. Their activities are introduced in individual profiles with pictures and short biographies of the choir conductors. At the end of the thesis the current situation of school choirs is assessed. This thesis depicts the overall tradition of choir life in Šumperk region and describes the development of children's choir singing from its beginning till the present time. In this respect it is a unique and complex source of information on an important part of local music life.
Instruction on the Soprano Recorder for Pre-schoolers

The thesis leads into research of fipple flute teaching mode in preschool age. The specifics of preschool age period in the area of musical development of a child and his psychological dispositions for musical activities are shown in theoretical part. Chapters describe some external and methodical aspects of education leading. Practical part of the thesis presents some results of monitoring the fipple flute teaching, which have been observed in selected kindergartens. The Renaissance in Musical Education at Secondary Schools

Early music seems to be rather unpopular with both students and their teachers at secondary schools. The reasons of this fact vary from case to case. Some consider it too remote from the contemporary world and as such they see no reason why it should be a part of general education. Some teachers may like the music but do not know how to make it appealing for the students. This is why I chose the Renaissance music as the topic of my diploma thesis. I think the music is still very attractive, even though about 500 years old. It can be profound and funny, complex and simple, graceful and rough as much as the Renaissance people were. In the first part of my work I have analyzed the school curriculum and the current textbooks to see to what extent the students are expected to learn about the early music and what sources do they and their teachers have to use. The second part comprises my own project of five ninety-minute meetings in which students experience both the authentic music (listening activities) and lively work such as elementary composition, dances, and class orchestra performance. The students are supposed to share the preparation for the meetings by preparing short presentations. Activities For Listening to Music at Primary Schools

The dissertation submits the theoretical elaboration about the problem o f listening activities in terms o f music education in primary school. Listening of music is an integral part o f music education in primary school. Its function is essential for this type o f education. Effectiveness o f listening activities in primary school depends on many factors which were examined from their functional point o f view. Requests o f an active form o f listening and related listening activities raise a question to what extend the music education text books deal with this problem. The text books were analysed in terms of listening activities problem and based on that the suggestion of listening repertory was created, supplemented with the methodical process of work. The individual examples were chosen, concerning music abilities and skills o f pupils attending the primary school. Creativity is the base for the music thinking development. Methods for cultivating the music creativity are the important part of education. Cooperative education, project method and use o f information technology in music education are the methods which help to develop pupil's music creativity.
