Sociological Aspects of Aritificial Intelligence
Zálešák, Tomáš ; Bureš, Jiří (advisor) ; Tremčinský, Martin (referee)
This text is a literature review with the goal of introducing the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) as a sociologically relevant phenomenon to research. The text has three chapters that together form a basic platform to understand many different aspects of the topic. The first chapter is concerned with the technical aspects of AI and is based on technical literature. These aspects are important for understanding of the current surge of interest in AI that has arisen in the recent years. The technical aspects also help us understand the strengths and weaknesses of AI by understanding its inner workings. The second chapter introduces an overview of sociologically relevant works of authors dealing with the social effects and other aspects of AI. Works of four of these authors are chosen as examples of the breadth of possible ways of looking at AI and as sources for further understanding. The third chapter chooses two examples from the vast amount of areas of application AI in the real world to deepen the overall understanding. This chapter balances out the previous more theoretical chapters by looking at the state of the art in the fields of medicine and transportation and applies knowledge acquired in the previous chapters. The output of the text is a sort of introductory guide through the...
Automation of Geodetic Measurements and Their Data Analysis
Vojkůvka, Michal ; Štětina,, Josef (referee) ; Kratochvíl,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Talácko,, Milan (referee) ; Bureš, Jiří (advisor)
The present thesis deals with the process of automation of geodetic measurements using electronic geodetic instruments, e.g. electronic levels, electronic total stations, as well as other measuring instruments and devices generally used for geodetic measurements, including meteorological sensors. The goal is to design and create a platform for automated measurement system with integrated data collection, their storage and analysis with the help of remote internet access and allowing to export data in various formats.
Deformation Measurement of Gagarin Bridge
Czíria, Kornél ; Vitula, Alexej (referee) ; Bureš, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with a complex analysis of displacements and deformations of one bridge span of the railway bridge "Gagarin". The bridge structure was since 2009 annually measured. In addition to long-term monitoring of the bridge a 24-hour automatized monitoring was conducted in 2015 using robotic total station. The results of monitoring enables the analysis of displacements and deformations, analysis of measurement accuracy and also environmental influences on the structure - determination of the temperature dependence of deformations. Another part of the work is evaluating the long-term stability of the height reference frame that was used for geodetic epoch measuring of the bridge columns. The results of the work are the values of detected displacements and deformations, their graphical illustration, geometric interpretation and relevant characteristics of accuracy.
Pavement Roughness Measurement with Use Geodetic Methods
Gašparík, Michal ; Bárta,, Ladislav (referee) ; Bureš, Jiří (advisor)
The issue of this diploma thesis is measurement of pavement roughness with an alternative means of data acquisition and evaluation by geodetic methods. In the beginning there is an overview of current state of actual roughness measurement methods. The main work is concerned with data acquisition with passive reflection of the laser rangefinder and laser scanner and standard deviations that arise in measuring on asphalt and concrete road surfaces. The aim of the work is to formulate the process of data acquisition, specification of standard deviations in the process of measuring, evaluation of pavement roughness according to ČSN 73 6175 standard, and their applicable graphic interpretation. Based on the analysis of accuracy of the methods applied, their usefulness is evaluated in comparison with the straightedge test.
Akhenaten's religious reform as a background of Moses's antireligious emphases in Torah
Bureš, Jiří ; Beneš, Jiří (advisor) ; Janák, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this thesis is searching for possible influences of Akhenaten's religious reform on the person of early Moses. The first part is devoted to the analysis of Akhenaten's reform and events and religious currents that may have left marks on its character. I believe that for understanding of this reform, which is atypical from the perspective of Egyptian history, it is important to briefly mention preceding traditions and historical events that may have inspired Akhenaten. The second part deals with the analysis of Moses's story, especially where Moses is most confronted with Egyptian civilisation. The question of historicity of exodus is also discussed. On the basis of acquired findings, the third part summarises individual similarities and differences in the legacies of both men. Unequivocal conclusions could not be arrived at due to the nature of available resources. However, I believe that further and more detailed research in this area and closer examination of individual resources which were beyond the scope of this work could lead to other interesting findings.
Accuracy Check of Levelling Systems
Szabó, Tibor ; Bárta, Ladislav (referee) ; Bureš, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis was concerned with checking the accuracy of the robotic total station with automatic targeting on the metrological calibration base FAST. The first part of the thesis deals with the explanation of basic concepts of height measurement, describes geodetic methods of height measurement and current solution of the problem. The main part of the work is devoted to the control of the used apparatus and the equipment, describes the calibration bases, methods of measurement and processing of the measured data. The resulting accuracy and differences were compiled into tables and graphs.
Creation of the Thematic Map in Method RTK
Kováč, Michal ; Bureš, Jiří (referee) ; Ježek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the creation of the thematic map using the RTK method, finding an appropriate method for measuring inaccessible points. The locality of interest for geodetic surveying is Brno – Vinohrady, nearby Pálavské námestie. The result of this thesis is the thematic map created in scale of map 1 : 500, according to the directions for creating thematic maps.
Evaluation of postural stability in subjects after whiplash injury
Bureš, Jiří ; Stupková, Michaela (advisor) ; Satrapová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Evaluation of postural stability in subjects after whiplash injury Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of whiplash injury on postural stability of the subjects who sustained this injury and, subsequently, to compare the results with a group of healthy subjects. Methods: In this pilot study, 16 subjects forming an experimental and a control group were involved. The experimental group consisted of 8 probands after whiplash injury, about 3-5 months after sustaining the injury. The average age of this group was 29.4 years. The control group consisted of 8 healthy probands with average age 28.8 years. All probands were free of neurological diseases, previous serious trauma and orthopedic surgeries in the region of lower extremities or torso, which might significantly affect the results of postural stability measurements. To evaluate postural stability, the device Smart EquiTest System by Neurocom was used and the data obtained were subsequently processed using the Neurocom Balance Manager Software programme. The results of both groups were statistically evaluated using the Shapiro-Wilk test of normality and then compared using the paired t-test or the Mann-Whitney test. Results: The results of this thesis point out that the persons who sustained whiplash injury show worse...
Spiritual searching with salvia divinorum in Prague and its surroundings
Zelený, Jan ; Spalová, Barbora (advisor) ; Bureš, Jiří (referee)
This thesis is concerned in the topic of spiritual searching with Salvia divinorum. Prague and its surroundings have been chosen as the region of interest. Salvia divinorum is extremely potent hallucinogenic substance that can be applied through smoking of extracts or chewing of leaves. Even though prohibited in 2011 In the Czech Republic, the substance is easy to acquire even to this day. In the qualitative part of the research semi-structured interviews were conducted with the users of this plant to obtain information about Salvia divinorum and its relationship to spiritual searching. The analysis of the discourse in the interviews resulted in findings which point us to the conclusion that the experimentation with Salvia divinorum is indeed tightly bound with spiritual searching.
