Notice of termination of apartment lease
Bauer, Petr ; Salač, Josef (referee) ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
The subject of the Work is the notice of termination of apartment lease. The Work was submitted during the vacantia legis period (i.e. the period between the force and effect of the law) of Act. No. 89/2012 Coll., the "new Civil Code". With regard to the historical politico- legal development of the Czech Republic, the content of the Work may be simply divided into the "three generations of notices of termination of apartment lease". However, the main objective of the Work are the practical issues with notices of termination of apartment lease according to the existing regulation, i.e. Act No. 40/1964 Coll., and the regulation according to the new Civil Code. Since the new Civil Code is partially inspired by the regulation effective in the territory of the Czech Republic in the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, attention is paid (in relation to apartment lease notices) also to the regulation from the first half of the 20th century, which in the form of special acts regulated reasons for lease termination in relatively great detail. The first comprehensive regulation was drawn up in the period of the so called "First Republic" based on Act No. 83/1918 Coll, on Protection of Tenants. Evaluation of lease apartment termination notices may not be quite separated from other institutes of law...
Selected sports problems from the perspective of criminal law
Bauer, Petr ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of criminal liability for actions occurring in the field of sport. Specifically, it chooses and examines the fields of sports injuries caused between athletes and corruption in sport. In its broadest conception it is divided into three parts. In the initial part the specifics of the society-wide phenomenon sport and substantial "non-legal" concepts of issues are described, in particular concept of sport, its category, the autonomy of sport and sport rules are defined here. The main part deals with the issue of criminal liability of athletes for causing injury to another. Whether certain actions involving a sports injury meets the definition of a crime is discussed in the context of current legislation. Followed by the research of the possible application of the concrete legal defenses for mentioned actions. For example researched legal defenses are consent of the victim or excusable risk. In this section are most mentioned and analyzed the selected theories of sports and legal doctrines that are often based on similar concepts as concrete legal defenses. Maybe the most substantial de lege ferenda considerations follow that describe possible solutions involving the definitions of sports excess and the special legal defense - sports risk. The interesting practice of...
The role of the police authority in pre-trial
Bauer, Petr ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor) ; Herczeg, Jiří (referee)
V ANGLICKÉM JAZYCE This thesis solves the role of the police authority in criminal pre-trial. Its object is to present the pre-trial stage of criminal proceedings, it is the pre-trial proceedings. As a longtime police officer, for whom criminal proceedings are for many years the main job, I wanted to do a detailed analysis of this phase of the criminal proceedings and to point out to the weaknesses of the current legislation and simultaneously bring the forward possible solutions to these gaps with appropriate arguments. I worked the stage of the preparatory proceedings in chronological order from the pre- prosecution to the phase of the investigation which occurs after the commencement of prosecution. In a separate chapter we find a treatise on the special form of pre-trial proceedings, when we speak of summary proceedings. All of these chapters I processed from the perspective of current legislation. The current legislation contains several drawbacks, which I pointed out in my rigorous thesis and I submitted proposals for changes that would correct these deficiencies. The thesis culminates with the chapter "consideration of possible changes in the preliminary proceedings de lege ferenda", where I dealt with the issue of exigent and unrepeatable acts, where as a policeman I perceive potential risks...

Methodology for evaluation of the gear windage loss and thermal load of a tooth
Bauer, Petr ; Bartoš, Ondřej ; Hrubý, Jan ; Kordík, Jozef ; Krátký, Tomáš ; Sedlář, Milan
This report contains results of experiments identifying thermo-physical properties of a gearbox oil mist. The main part of the report studies a dependency of a gear wheel windage power loss on the radial and axial gap between the wheel and its enclosure. This parametric study relies primarily on the results coming from numerical simulations (CFD analysis). For the default enclosure configuration the evaluated power dissipation is compared with the values obtained using theoretical relationships. The theory is based on one-dimensional turbulent velocity profiles over smooth and rough surfaces. A summary of the theoretical analysis and the derivations are also included in the report.\nThe influence of a tooth shape on the windage power loss is also studied using the numerical simulations. A change of a tooth top surface angle is technologically easily realizable adjustment, and can have a positive effect on the power loss reduction. In the report there are performed simulations for varying angles of this surface and the expected improvements in aerodynamic properties are confirmed.\nThe last part of the report contains the formulation of boundary conditions for numerical evaluation of gear wheel heat balance. This information is documented more in detail in related research reports.\n
Generalization of the methodology for evaluation of the gear windage loss
Bauer, Petr ; Kordík, Jozef ; Krátký, Tomáš ; Sedlář, Milan
The first part of the report proposes a methodology for gear windage loss evaluation using CFD analysis. The methodology includes simplification of gearbox complex geometry and the toothed wheel and pinion are replaced by a rough-walled disks with additional braking volume forces. The values of volume forces were determined using auxiliary computations with a real gear geometry (a gear segment with periodical boundary conditions). The computations included configuration of the gear wheel meshing with the pinion, while distance of wheel enclosure was a variable parameter (the case without enclosure was tested as well). The cases without pinion were computed too, they were compared with earlier results obtained with the gear segment geometry.\nThe second part of the report contains a revision of the earlier proposed analytical approach. The approach can serve for approximate gear windage loss evaluation and its idea dwells in smooth connection of logarithmic velocity profiles. The gear windage loss values obtained from the analytical approach were compared with the results based on CFD analysis. A good agreement between both methods was concluded.\n
Computations of the windage loses of a gearbox
Bauer, Petr ; Broučková, Zuzana ; Kordík, Jozef ; Sedlář, M.
The report contains the methodology for the computation of the windage losses of a gearbox and the first results of the CFD analysis of a simplified flow problem around a segment of rotating gear with casing using periodic boundary conditions and clean air as the working fluid. The report also contains a review of empirical formulae for windage losses estimation.
FEM solver for incompressible flow problems
Bauer, Petr ; Klement, V. ; Žabka, V.
We develop a FEM solver for flow problems based on incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. The discretization of the convective term is semi-implicit and the resulting linear systems are solved using multigrid techniques. The parallel implementations via OpenMP and NVidia CUDA are presented and their performance is compared.
FEM for flow and pollution transport in urban canopy
Bauer, Petr ; Klement, V. ; Žabka, V.
We develop a mathematical model of air flow and pollution transport in a simplified urban canopy based on incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for air flow and the advection-diffusion equation for concentration. The model is discretized by means of finite element method (FEM) and the resulting systems are solved using multigrid techniques. A numerical study of pollutant dispersion in a domain with two street canyons is presented.
