Low-rise apartment buildings in Řečkovice
Kazdová, Tereza ; Žalmanová,, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to design a low-rise apartment building in Řečkovice district, Brno, which would be used for elderly housing. The land on which the building is planned to be located is currently densely overgrown with greenery, but there are two buildings planned to be built in the eastern part of the land already. The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of the western part of the land. The design consists of one four-story building containing 25 separate housing units, each for one to two residents. Each apartment has its own balcony facing either the private or the public part of the garden. In addition, social areas and other services for seniors are designed to be in the building. The design includes cutting down the overgrown vegetation on the property and designing a small park for gatherings. This bachelor's thesis is based on the studio of architectural creation from the second academic year.
Architectural study of the sports area of the Favorit Brno cycling stadium
Hyánků, Alex ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis was the design of the reconstruction of the Favorit Brno cycling stadium, the so-called velodrome, located in Brno - the centre of Pisárky, southeast of the Brno Exhibition Centre at Křižíkovsého Street. The velodrome does not meet the current requirements of track cycling. A new 250m long wooden cycle track will be built into the existing stadium. The space that will be created after the shortening of the track will serve as a multifunctional area on which a mobile BMX track can be built. This is connected to the passageway 'coming out' of the building and going back inside. The facilities for the BMX track is under the velodrome stands in the southern part. The design also includes an annexe which will serve as a track cycling facility and administrative space. The proposal also includes a completly roofed building, as currently the roof structure only covers the grandstands. The new roofing builds on the existing roof as the roof structure has historical value.
STU Innovation Center
Jurko, Tomáš ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The assignment of the bachelor's thesis is the design of the innovation center building in the inner block of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. The work is based on the architectural study of the subject AG035 Architectural designe and the construction study of the subject AG036 Complex project. The inner block of the treated area is located in the Bratislava - Staré Mesto district, in close proximity to important buildings and the historical core of the city. The goal of the proposal is to functionally activate the inner block and design the objects of the new innovation center, to create a representative architecture that will not only serve students, but also the public and will connect these two spheres. The proposal includes an innovative science center with laboratories and educational, social, multi-purpose spaces connected with the rector's workplaces. The basic concept of the idea design was to create a new dominant in the space, that solution creates an open space in the inner block and creates a number of functional free areas for students, teachers and the public. The proposed building has 2 underground floors, which are set into the terrain and primarily serve as an underground parking, individual research and laboratory spaces, and 10 above-ground floors, which mainly spaces for education, relaxation, students and the public.
The city library and public space in the area of the former sugar factory in Břeclav
Juříček, Pavel ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The current appearance of the former Cukrovar site in Břeclav has been unsatisfactory for a long time with many functional and aesthetic problems. The proposal addresses the use of the former market hall and the adjacent public space between U Stadionu Street and Kuffner Embankment in Břeclav, preserving the historic form of the building and adding functional elements visually clearly separable from the original structure. According to the city's requirements, the functional use of the hall is a new Municipal Library with additional functions. Adjacent areas are designed with ample green space available for both pedestrian and bicycle circulation.
Vltava Philharmonic
Mikel, Jakub ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The Philharmonic is a building that, in terms of its operational as well as conceptual nature, forms a very complex object that allows the architect to try out a whole range of situations. Also, its visual essence cannot be neglected, because the philharmonic, especially when it is the one in the capital, becomes one of the architectural symbols of the country. In my work, I deal with this task in the background of the competition that took place, and thus of the real tender conditions. An important focus of the work is the connection between the Philharmonic and the public, both through a large number of public areas directly in the building, and also through the creation of residential areas in its surroundings. This is also associated to the connection of the public space and the river, where the public space around the building is directly connected to the riverbank.

Wolf, Tomáš ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the design of a visitor centre to be located on the territory of the industrial area of the Frenštát Mines in the village of Trojanovice. The design is based on the official architectural and urban planning study prepared by the KAMIL MRVA ARCHITECTS studio and seeks to work with space and spatial relationships in a modern way. The main objective is to attract new visitors and enrich the lives of the future residents of this modern neighbourhood. The design uses openness and enclosure of space to interact harmoniously with each other, creating an organic and connected environment. The aim is to reflect and reflect the character of the area on which the visitor centre will be located, creating a space that is welcoming and functional for visitors and future residents. The theoretical foundations of architecture are key elements in the design of a visitor centre. Spatial relationships are carefully considered and optimized to maximize the use of the space while maintaining its functionality. The overall design is therefore adapted to modern architectural trends and reflects the requirements of the times. The result is a visitor centre that is not only aesthetically impressive, but also fully functional and adapted to the needs of visitors and future residents. The resulting space is harmonious and connected, contributing to a pleasant visitor experience and a quality living environment for the future residents of this modern neighbourhood.
