Using of FMECA method for prevention of errors in the industrial enterprise
Macháč, Miroslav ; Koška, Petr (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on using FMECA in a manufacturing company. Analysis was developed in conjunction with a manufacturing company and its main goal is to decrease number of scrap. FMECA helped to find the most critical possible defects and then some actions for decreasing number of scrap were suggested.
Stability of the production process of railway base plates.
Szmek, Tomáš ; Fiala, Alois (referee) ; Koška, Petr (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on process monitoring using statistical process control SPC tools. It is designed as a guide for the implementation and use of control charts in the manufacturing process of the base plates, which would ultimately be conducive to improving and stabilizing the process. The theoretical parts are the basic attitudes and practices methodology of SPC, especially classical Shewhart control charts. The next section describes the current status in Strojírny Třinec, a.s. and the manufacturing process of the base plates. Followed by application of control charts for a given quality features and analysis using statistical software. Based on the evaluation are findings and recommendations for long-term monitoring of the defined quality features.
Analysis system of input control.
Fouček, Petr ; Doňarová, Jana (referee) ; Koška, Petr (advisor)
This diplom thesis analyzes the current state of input control. To find required information were used the company’s complaints database and it’s selected data were processed by efficient tools of statistical analysis. To make the input control more efficient were found solution on the base of recognized facto.
Quality management system for small organization
Urban, Jan ; Krásová, Anna (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a quality management system of a small construction company. The aim is to analyse the existing baseline system and propose specific measures leading to compliance with the ČSN EN ISO 9001:2009 standard specification. The first three chapters focus on general description and concepts of quality management systems. The next chapter identifies and maps the main processes in the studied construction company and proposes a new quality management system. The last chapter presents general guidelines for creation of management documentation.
Experimental network for QoS support testing
Fogl, Miroslav ; Mácha, Tomáš (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The work specifies problems with support of qualitative requirements in IP network services on the network and link layer. There are also described options of qualitative support of individual networking components in the UTKO laboratory (routers, L3 switches). Created experimental network is loaded by various types of service (VoIP, FTP, HTTP, Video). Data services realization is ensured by available terminals (IP phones, IP cameras, IP video-phones, servers, client stations). Metering is targeted on the manipulation with packets in the router. Options which Cisco router offers are verified by packet analysis. Available methods of dropping are compared on the base of metering and evaluated. Optimal handling with output queue after metering in experimental network is LLQ mechanism. It is able to prefer packets according to their priority in the IP header. Further the difference of link overloading by huge dataflow after QoS policy using is simulated. To reach availability of data services in the whole network is necessary to deal with mechanisms for qualitative services support in all the network components in the network.

Optimization of production process
Nováková, Veronika ; Krásová, Anna (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
The aims of this dissertation are to analyze the current state of process control, to identify the product range in selected organization and to design the process planning methodology to ensure an optimal implementation. Optimization is understood as costs minimization while keeping an acceptable continuity of supply. The dissertation contains a description of technological and non-manufacturing processes of brick products, as well as the summary and description of the basic tools of quality management.
KAIZEN Application
Brhlík, David ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
The goal of thesis is to implement Kaizen method into manufacturing process and so mineralize the scrap of production and at the same time get an numerical overview of the guarantee for the quality of product. Implementation this method will lead to elimination of existing random check of the process. Place: ABB s.r.o. Brno (company is specialized to production switchgears)
Production process optimization
Pappová, Barbora ; Koška, Petr (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the current condition of management quality system analyses in the organization of "Brněnská Drutěva", industrial cooperative in a box-making plant. Certification according to the norm ČSN EN ISO 9001:2009 has just been extended into this plant. For these purposes it was required to do an input analyses, as well as to identify and survey processes in the plant. Upon the ascertainment some recommendations for processes and management quality system optimization have been specified. These recommendations should function as instructions for the management quality system and production optimization to be improved and the efficiency to be increased.
Implementing of SPC into production process
Letáček, Jiří ; Koška, Petr (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
This graduation thesis is concerned with implementing the SPC (Statistical process control) to the process plan. The aim of this thesis is an analysis of present status of manufacture laths bending and a selection of useful methods, which is possible to apply in a company processes. The main reason for SPC implementation is continual improvement of quality in manufacturing concern. The theoretical part of thesis consist of bending description, control of process quality, quality control instruments and errors in measurement. In practical part is described an actual status of manufacture and a solution of query.
