BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Pavla Konvalinková Supervisor: Ing. Adéla Slámová Tutor: Hana Kohoutová, DiS Title: Transfemoral amputation and knee joint disarticulation Subtitle: Rehabilitation procedure after lower limb amputation Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of transfemoral amputations and exarticulations in the knee joint and the possibilities of rehabilitation care for patients after amputation of the lower limb. The work will offer both an earlier and a current view of the issue from the position of a doctor, prosthetist and physiotherapist. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the introductory theoretical part, circulatory techniques are described in detail in terms of indications, design, history, advantages and disadvantages and possibilities of prosthetic equipment. Further work summarizes the knowledge about the possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervention from preoperative and postoperative care to equipping the patient with a prosthetic device. In the second practical part, two case reports of patients with selected two procedures are processed. The aim of the work is to bring the known knowledge on the issue of transfemoral amputations and exarticulations in the knee joint and then apply this knowledge and selected procedures in clinical...

Title: Case study of ortho-prosthetic care of a patient with a diagnosis of transtibial amputation Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize theoretical knowledge about amputations of the lower limbs and to process a case study of ortho-prosthetic care of a patient with a diagnosis of transtibial amputation. Methods: The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the topic of amputations and prosthetics of the lower limbs with a focus on transtibial amputation. The practical part is processed in the form of a case study of a patient after transtibial amputation in connection with diabetes mellitus. It describes the anamnesis, initial examination and protetometry, the production of the prosthesis, the static and dynamic completation and walking training with the made prosthesis. Results: The case study was completed during a month-long internship in the non- governmental medical institution named Protetika - Medica Praha. An appropriate prosthesis was made for the patient and he was ready for subsequent rehabilitation. After rehabilitation, there will be a significant improvement in the patient's quality of life. Possibilities of prothetic treatment for skiers with exarticulation of the knee especially for cross-country skiing
Malá, Kateřina ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
Thesis title: Possibilities of prothetic treatment for skiers with exarticulation of the knee especially for cross-country skiing Main objectives: I tried to find out the prosthetic possibilities for the people who have the exarticulation in the knee joint and compare the differences between healthy and amputated person. Goals: 1. Try to find out the possibilities for the cross country skiing to people who are having an exarticulation in the knee joint. 2. Watch the cross-country skier with the exarticulation in the knee joint during the activity and find out the differences with healthy person. 3. Devise a solution how to eliminated the shortcomings and try to minimaze these differences. Methods: This thesis is one case study. I used qualitative research methods to write this thesis. I was collecting data to get more information during observation of my experimetee doing recreational sports activities. Then I compared this information with knowledge obtained in the professional literature about cross-country skiing, healthy and amputated cross-country skiers. Results: In this thesis I found out that there is an available prothesis in the Czech Republic which allows the people with exarticulation in the knee joint to cross-country skiing. However there are any limitations in movement that a healthy...
The possibilities of physiotherapy and prosthesis after the amputation on low limbs
ŠNOKHAUSOVÁ, Daniela
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map physiotherapeutic and prosthetic procedures in patients with lower limb amputation. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with historical development, definition of amputation and its indications. I describe techniques and types of amputation procedures and I mention the possibilities of rehabilitation treatment and physiotherapeutic procedures. Part of the theory is devoted to the possibilities of prosthetics, which are closely related to rehabilitation care for patients with amputation. The practical part is processed in the form of qualitative research, which was carried out using case reports. Two patients were included in the research. Both patients were men waiting for the first prosthetic equipment, and both were after surgery when they had amputated the lower leg in the thigh area.

Thesis title: Possibilities of prothetic treatment for skiers with exarticulation of the knee especially for cross-country skiing Main objectives: We try to find out the prosthetic possibilities for the people who have the exarticulation in the knee joint and compare the differences between healthy and amputated person. Goals: 1. Watch the cross-country skier with the exarticulation in the knee joint during the activity and find out the differences with healthy person. 2. Devise a solution how to eliminated the shortcomings and try to minimaze these differences. Methods: This thesis is empirical-theoretical nature. The methods which we used are comparative analysis and observation with the following description. The observed variables were our thesis proband in comparison with our own expirience about cross-coutry skiing. Results: In our thesis we find out that there is an available prothesis in the Czech Republic which allows the people with exarticulation in the knee joint to cross-country skiing. However there are any limitations in movement that a healthy people do not have. Key words: femoral amputation, the prothesis, C-leg, cross-country skiing with a prothesis, cross-country skiing after amputation
