Analýza významu a uplatnění kulturních rostlin v programu "fair trade"

This thesis analyse the issue of fair trade and the posibility for this program in the Czech republic. The literary part of thesis describes the program fair trade, reasons for formation of fair trade, its current status and issue of oil palm planting in the world. This thesis evaluates influence of oil palm planting on the environment and economic, social and health impacts connected with oil palm planting for local residents and communities and impacts of oil palm production on the Czech Republic. For the practical part of thesis I used the questionnaire survey, when I examined public knowledge of the fair trade, consumer behavior, the range of demand for fair trade products and the interest of citizens about problematic situatin of oil palm planting.

Tlolková, M., Development potential of Fair Trade in Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The diploma thesis is focused on fair trade in the Czech Republic. The first part deals with the main ideas and the principle of the functioning of fair trade and its organizations, the way of certification and the conditions for their granting. It exam-ines in more detail the functioning in the Czech environment and describes the prin-ciples and way of incorporating fair trade into social responsibility, communication tools, areas of activity and consumer habits. The survey consists of sources such as annual reports and public surveys and in-depth interviews with employees of fair trade organizations in the Czech Republic. In addition, a comparison is made with foreign entities and the possibilities of further development of fair trade, namely the education of future responsible consumers (Fairtrade Campaign), are proposed and by means of marketing and management methods (SWOT, EFE and IFE matrix, An-soff's matrix, Triple Bottom Line) further recommendations are given, such as set-ting SMART goals and processing more detailed annual reports.
Program Suport for Fair Trade

This work has been created as a support for non-profit NGO Society for Fair Trade and Development Education. It's aimed to build a base of an information system, that will be able to integrate and simplify the organisation's running. In the actual version it's foremost about stock control system unifying the management of commodities on several affiliates and synchronization of book entries for accounting purposal. To make the further development easier, several modular components are introduced. The system is based on technologies of PHP and MySQL with additional functionality of JavaScript which is, for the sake of widest compatibility possible, minimalised and substituted with alternative solutions if possible.
The application of fairtrade products in selected areas of public

This diploma thesis is oriented primarily on fair trade and its application possibilities in selected areas of public administration in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of thesis deals with fair trade system, its principes, projects that are implemented to support it and specific examples of these projects. Finally, it is also mentioned the comodities, which are cultivated in fair trade certification. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey. A part of this research is a questionnaire, which was sent to the regional authorities of the Czech Republic and selected municipal authorities of the South Bohemian Region. The questionnaire focuses on the participation of these authorities in the fair trade system, the consumption of fair trade products in the office and finally the possibilities to participate in the "Fairtrade office" certification. The aim of the theses is find out a current involvment of regional authorities and municipal autorities of the South Bohemian region in the fair trade system, support of this system and posibble activities that are implemented to support it.
Fair trade cotton on the czech market

The theoretical part deals with system fair trade, cultivate and produce of fair trade and organic cotton. Following there are describe standards for small fair trade cotton producers and fair trade textile standard. There are presented some czech producers of organic cotton and some fair trade cotton farmers. The practical part contains results of questionnaires, which show views of consumers on organic and fair trade cotton. Futhermore the are analyse offers of organic and fair trade cotton in selected retail chains.
Consumers' perception of the Fair Trade mark

The main objective of this thesis is to find out how the consumer perceives the Fairtrade mark. The other objective is to find out what products the consumer buys and if the sustainable consumption is important for consumers. This objective is achieved through a survey. Fair trade means a correct approach to producers of the Global South. Fair trade prevents from exploitation of growers and children´s labour. Fair trade is a globally used brand preferred mainly in the developed countries of Europe and North America. This brand is a part of organic farming and sustainable development. The main mission of this mark is to provide growers a corresponding payment which is bigger than costs of cultivation or production. The current objective of this brand is that consumes must buy fair trade products for sustainable development, not only for the brand itself.
The media image of the fair trade concept in the Czech press

The thesis The media image of the Fair Trade concept in the Czech press examines media image of the Fair Trade business system in the most widely read newspapers Aha!, Blesk, Hospodářské noviny, Lidové noviny, Mladá fronta DNES, Právo and Sport. The aim is to find out whether newspapers report on Fair Trade in broader context and in which frames it is most likely presented. At the same time the thesis examines the extent to which newspapers inform about Fair Trade. There are two hypothesis formulated, one suggesting that the amount of articles referring about Fair trade has an increasing tendency and that articles do not address the issue in broader context. The answers to research questions and the validity of the hypotheses are examined through quantitative and qualitative content analysis based primarily on the framework theory. Deductive procedure using pre-formulated control questions is also used. The finding is that the newspapers most often present Fair Trade in economics frame followed by conflict frame and human impact frame. In addition, the thesis examines the presence of a critical frame, which is almost absent in the newspapers. The context is usually limited. Fair trade and Direct trade certification in marketing strategies of Czech coffee roasters and cafes

This diploma thesis is focused on the state of specialty coffee market in the Czech Republic, while concentrating on the position of the biggest coffee roasters and cafes on this market and their marketing strategies. Analysis of these marketing strategies is part of this thesis, with focus on approach of these roasters to Fair trade and Direct trade. Theoretical as well as practical part of this thesis presents findings from the Czech specialty coffee market, explains background of its fast development and the significance of alternative trade practices. The approach of coffee consumers to values presented by specialty coffee has been evaluated through a questionnaire survey. These values include certifications themselves and their ethical significance, as well as locality of roasting and therefore also accessibility of fresh and high quality product.
World coffe trade

This bachelor thesis is focused on trade with coffee, on a Fair Trade concept and on production and manufacturing of coffee. Aim of this work is to describe flows of coffee in international trade, to describe the Fair Trade concept and its usage, plus to describe, how coffee is produced and processed. First chapter focuses on description of growing and manufacturing coffee and its history. Second chapter emphasises on production, pricing and trade of coffee. In last chapter, there is the Fair Trade described, its role, influence and criticism as well. Following methods were used in the thesis: synthesis, comparative method territorial analysis and deduction.
