Information System Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification
Ryšánek, Vladimír ; Hampl, Ondřej (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of the current state of an information system in order to detect it´s deficiencies and to propose a motion for their elimination. Via application of selected methods, it reveals lack in the system security policy, on which this thesis further focuses. Specifies how to implement asset assessment as a part of the risk management in the company and also contains its own security policy solution using Safetica software, which helps reducing the likelihood of the company security incidents.
The Use of Means of Artificial Intelligence for the Decision Making Support on Stock Market
Hrach, Vlastimil ; Budík, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with artificial intelligence utilization for predictions on stock markets. The prediction is unconventionally based on Bayes' probabilistic model theorem and on its based Naive Bayes classifier. I the practical part algorithm is designed. The algorithm uses recognized relations between identifiers of technical analyze. Concretely exponential running averages at 20 and 50 days had been used. The program output is a graphic forecast of future stock development which is designed on ground of relations classification between the identifiers
Proposal for Implementation of the Decision Tree’s Method in Context with Investment Decisions
Krejčířová, Magda ; Batko,, Michal (referee) ; Zinecker, Marek (advisor)
This master's thesis concerns the use of the methodology of the decision tree in the investment decision making. The proposed decision model provides the best solution from the available options for the EXPECT-IT ltd. company. This thesis contains also a range of own proposals followed by their evaluation.
Isolated word recognition
Vodička, Radek ; Křupka, Aleš (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
Main purpose of the thesis is to study the processes and methods of isolated words recognition. In the theoretical part a basic principals are explained. The practical part is about the program creating using these principles in practice. For isolated words recognition Hidden Markov Models (HMM) are used, for obtaining decision symptoms cepstral analysis is chosen.
Risk assessment design margin of process and power equipment
Horsák, Jan ; Pačíska, Tomáš (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work is devoted to description of methodology of determining process and power equipment design margins, which is based on assessment of a relative process importance of the equipment in question. The methodology is theoretically analysed, brought into context of common design practice and demonstrated on actual cases. Substantial part of this work analyses heat transfer in general as a base of heat exchanger design process.
Risk Management inside Construction Company
Svobodová, Lenka ; Vašíček, Roman (referee) ; Nováková, Jana (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor’s paper is risk management in a building company. The theoretical part deals with various types of risks, including identification, analysis and planning. The practical part is focused on the risk situations in a particular building company. Subsequently, the building project shows the actual procedures and solutions to risk management together with preventive measures to eliminate risks.
A comparison of frequentist and Bayesian approaches to probability
Dupal, Pavel ; Karel, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bílková, Diana (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to provide a basic comparison between the classical (frequentist) and Bayesian schools of statistics on both the historical and the scientific level. The history of statistics is examined in short starting from the 17th century through the recent years. Key figures and discoveries are mentioned, as well as some of the occasions when the frequentist and Bayesian approaches clashed or influenced one another. Different interpretations of probability are listed and the Bayesian approach is introduced via Bayes' Theorem. The frequentist and Bayesian methods for point estimation, interval estimation and hypothesis testing are then described and compared. Every method is then further presented in an example and the results are evaluated using selected criteria.
