Transport network Liberec and surrounding

The work will generally describe transport network based on theoretical definitions of particular terms. History of transportation segments in Liberec and its surrounding areas will follow up. The theoretical part applied directly to the circumstances of Liberec and its surroundings will be defined then. All segments of transport will be analyzed, including complementary types of transport such as water-carriage or cable-cars. More details will be given to public transport, integrated system and fares. The goal is to give readers a holistic view of all Liberec traffic. I will also mention flaws accompanied by proposals to improve identified weaknesses.

Economic efficiency analysis of traffic buildings in Čzech republic

In my work, I would like to focus on the way of evaluating economic efficiency of traffic buildings in Czech republic. This evaluation is in responsibility of Czech Directorate of Motorways and Highways DG. Evaluation is made by HDM-4 (Highway Development and Management version 1.30)aplication. Its funkcionality is provided by employees of Directorate but Reports of economic efficiency are made by private companies.Making projects in this software is quite difficult task, because of big amount of information which are required. Main aim of this work is to find out if this kind of analysis is appropriate for Czech road network or if there are some problems or difficulties in using HDM-4.

Transport services in Trhové Sviny region

This diploma work concentrates on carrying out an analysis of transport services in the region of Trhové Sviny. The aim of the work was to carry out an exhaustive evaluation of transport services in administrative district of municipality with extended competence Trhové Sviny on the basis of situational analysis, analysis of transport service and terrain investigation. The emphasis was put above all on the evaluation of transport services usable for tourism and conditions for cycling and hiking. On the basis of the results of the analysis of transport services and terrain investigation, it came to suggesting measures to make the region more attractive. In the work, two hypothesis were set the result of which is based on the made analyses. It resulted from the work that the most common way of transport in the region is road transport, especially by car and by bus. The region is sought for cycling and hiking as well. The main shortcoming of the region is seen in the level of roads which are even dangerous here and there. It could also come to improvement of the level of stops of regular bus service. Another suggestion is to increase connections transporting bicycles by one work day in the season. At the end of the work, a project concentrating on cycle nature trails was created. The project results from the knowledge gained from the foregoing analyses and investigation. This project takes into consideration natural, technical and historical attractions of the region.

Analysis of the proportion of legislation on road safety

Work deals with the immediate impact of legislation on road safety. The first part is the introduction of the current legislation in the Czech Republic in the field of transport. The next section presents the statistics from last year, an analysis of the most common accidents and their causes and comparisons with previous years. Based on the findings from the statistics of the causes of accidents (with the current state of roads, traffic signs and the psychology of drivers) further investigated and determined by their elimination through appropriate legislative amendments, which are also compared with those in surrounding states.

The analysis of relationship between corruption level and price level of infrastructure works

The thesis analyses the influence of corruption on infrastructure works prices. For that purpose, indicators based on Comparative price level indices issued by Eurostat and Corruption Perceptions Index by Transparency International are used. The method is a cross-sectional analysis of at least 20 European countries for 2007. NERV and Czech media have used the mentioned indicators to demonstrate overpricing of road construction in the Czech Republic. These indicators will be controlled for difference in labor and capital costs across countries, which affects the indicators through different production factor consumption in engineering works and other branches of construction. Significant correlation between corruption index and indicators of engineering works prices was found both in the unadjusted and adjusted form.

This master thesis describes transport projects in Orlikoústecko region. At the first part it concerns on the general history of transport and actual trends in road, railway and cycle transport in European Union and Czech republic. In next part it characterizes Pardubice region and describes chosen transport projects in Orlickoustecko region. It focuses especially on legislation, financing methods and complete description of each project.
