The development of marriage rate, divorce rate and extra-marital fertility in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of marriage rate and divorce rate and extra-marital fertility during the period 1990 - 2010. The work is drawn into four chapters, the first three chapters are devoted to the development of the above-mentioned three demographic events. There is a theoretical example of the demographic terms at the beginning of each chapter which refers to the specific chapter. Following part is dedicated to demographic events and causes which leads to the family behavior's changes. The fourth and final chapter is devoted to the support of families with children. The forms of aid which the state contributes to a better life for families are defined. The three forms direct financial support, indirect financial support and non-financial support for families are described in detail.
Comparison of nuptiality and divorce in the Czech Republic and other EU countries

This bachelor thesis is aimed on analysis of marriage and divorce in Czech republic and other European Union countries. For this analysis we use the latest data from the European Statistical Office. Using this analysis to determine whether there are related to the extent marriage, divorce, depending on the type of establishment and national socio-economic level of those states.
Demographic analysis of the European Union

The diploma thesis deals with the demographic analysis of the European Union member countries. In the first part, various demographic measures regarding natural and mechanical changes of population are described. Moreover, each indicator is illustrated with practical calculations and graphical display of the development between years 1960 and 2007. Second part focuses on the construction of demographic projections of the European Union until the year 2060, including theoretical background. In the last part, the impact of demographic trends on the economy is considered.
Current State of Family in the Czech Republic and its Regions

The thesis is focused on the current state of families in the Czech Republic and its individual regions. In addition to the basic characteristics of the family, this work captures the changes undergone by the family, especially in the areas of marriage and parenthood. The diploma thesis also analyzes the behavior of the Czech population through relevant statistical indicators, such as marriage, divorce, birth and fertility in the period of 1991-2008, both at the national level and at the district levels. Based on the analysed results of the statistical indicators, the author assesses whether there exist differences between individual regions of the Czech Republic, which relate to the family behavior of the population.
The development and interactions between selected demographic indicators in the Czech Republic

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on investigating the development of indicators, marriage and divorce in the Czech Republic from the period 1979 - 2009. The crude marriage rates and divorce rates are monitored for the selected countries of the European Union. The first part of the thesis describes the demographic indicators and the statistical methods for analyzing marriage and divorce. The main part of the thesis examines the evolution of these indicators in the Czech Republic from the point of view of time, but also monitors the development in relation to other demographic and social phenomena. These phenomena are age, sex, education, marital status etc. During the reporting period, the number of marriages decreased significantly. It has an indirect impact on declining birth rate and fertility in the Czech Republic. Reducing the marriage rate can be attributed to changes in society. The greater emphasis is posed on promoting individual and individualism. Although the marriage rate has dropped, the divorce rate in the period is slightly increasing.. There were not major changes in the development of divorce during the reporting period.
Population trends after World War II in the Czech republic

This thesis deals with the development of basic demographic structure of Czech population after World War II to the present. The period is divided into three stages of population development. The first stage of the years 1945 - 1969 includes the post-war development in our country, a period an enthusiastic of building and subsequent periods of stagnation and decline at the end of the sixties. The next stage of years 1970 - 1989 describes the demographic waves in the seventies and negative features of population development, which peaked at the end of the eighties. Last stage of years 1990 - 2010 focuses on the beginning of restoration of democracy in Czech society and the current development of the Czech population. Part of this thesis is also focused on development of economic activity of Czech population in the years 1945 - 2010. Economic activity is divided into two parts. The first part assesses the development of economic activity in a period of almost forty years of socialism in the Czech Republic. The second part describes the development of economic activity after 1989.
Comparative analysis of the Czech and French policies in favour of natality

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to present The Policy of natality, The Family Policy in Czech Republic and in France with a view to the social measures used to help the sustenance of natality and the families with their children like social benefits, the modification in labour law. My thesis is divided in five chapters. The first one describes briefly the history of natural population increase and migration in Czech Republic during 20th century. The second one is about history of natural population increase and migration in France during 20th century. The two following chapters describe the history about The policy of natality in France and Czech Republic during 20th century and the actual social measures used to help the families with their children. Finally chapter presents the analyse comparative of The Policy of natality, of The Family Policy and the analyse comparative of social measures in these countries.
The Family in the Czech Republic and its Regions

This master thesis is focused on the present state of the family issues in the Czech Republic. Except the explanation of the basic terminology, it also indicates some of the areas with the family in the first place and its legal regulations and sociology investigation. It observes the actual trends in the behaviour of couples in the connection with the common life and starting family. The acquired demographic and sociological findings, valid generally for the Czech Republic, are analysed and compared with the statistical dates of the lower territory self-governing units. It also checks the rate of the regional differences above these regions (mainly at the level of districts), especially in the area of the marriage behaviour, parenthood and amount of the separating marriages. It confronts these data with the age structure of the founding family members. At the end of the graduation thesis is established whether the results of the sociological investigation and studies are consistent with the realized conclusions from the statistic data and if there exist the significant regional dissimilarities in the Czech Republic in statistic indicators which characterize the "family" behaviour of population.

Název diplomové práce ?Vývojové tendence současné rodiny? napovídá, že se studie zabývá charakteristikou rodiny v současnosti. Úvodem definuje pojem ?rodina?, vymezuje její smysl a sleduje soubor činností a opatření státu, která směřují k podpoře rodinných funkcí. Analyzuje vliv rodinné politiky na úroveň plodnosti a porodnosti. V rámci tématu manželství pojednává o volbě životního partnera, dochází k zamyšlení se nad motivy, které vedou pár k rozhodnutí vstoupit do vztahu manželského. Prostřednictvím časových řad a využitím komparativní metody analyzuje sňatečnost v České republice. Hodnotí proměny rodinného života. Sleduje nesezdaná soužití a pojednává o okolnostech, jež byly důvodem pro rozhodnutí páru žít společně, aniž by uzavřeli sňatek. Dále se práce zabývá diferenciací rolí v rodině (tzn. k jakým změnám vnitřní struktury rodiny dochází). Závěrečná kapitola je věnována analýze rozpadu rodiny a jeho vlivu na vývoj jednotlivce.
The Second Demographic Transition - Regional Differentiations In the Czech Republic

Předmětem zájmu diplomové práce jsou změny, které se v české společnosti odehrávají od počátku 90. let a jsou označovány jako druhý demografický přechod. Popisu demografických změn v naší republice nejprve předchází obecná charakteristika druhého demografického přechodu, kde se čtenář může seznámit nejen s pojmem ?druhý demografický přechod?, ale i s jeho projevy. Následuje popis vývoje demografických veličin jak na úrovni celé České republiky, tak na úrovni krajské. Poslední část diplomové práce je věnována hledání vazby demografických charakteristik na další nedemografické veličiny. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty výsledné poznatky a čtenář zde může také nalézt kategorizaci krajů dle vývoje demografických veličin.
