Physical therapy facilities in Down syndrome
ŠULOVÁ, Eva
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of influencing locomotor skills of children with Down syndrome by physiotherapy. In the theoretical part two key phenomena involved in the postural behavior of these persons are mentioned, which are low muscle tone (hypotonia) and laxicita ligament, caused by the presence of abnormal collagen type VI. These two genetically conditioned phenomena, according to the cited literature, are associated with impaired muscle cocontraction, with inadequate equilibrium reactions and faulty proprioceptive feedback for posture and locomotion. The research group consisted of three children of preschool and younger school age diagnosed with Down syndrome. Using the qualitative research method, information obtained from medical history and kinesiologic examination were recorded. In all 3 patients, poor posture was described, deficit of postural stability in upright standing, dynamic balance and deep and superficial sensation deficits were found. Therefore the therapy included elements of exercise in developmental series, sensomotoric exercises and equilibrium reactions training, exercises on a ball, working with physical schema, proprioceptive and exteroceptive stimulations, exercises to promote psychomotor development (exercise to music, according to pictures of animals), functional taping and breathing exercises. After completion of three-month individual therapy, postural stability in upright posture (in 1 patient), dynamic balance (in 3 patients), the quality of step cycle (in 2 patients) and the quality of posture (in 3 patients) were affected. In all the children the postural finding was affected by the change of the function of lower blade fixators. The therapy was limited by a lower level of cooperation caused by the mental handicap of children with DS. In this study, the positive effect of physiotherapy in the mentioned qualities on postural and locomotion skills in children with Down syndrome has been proved.

Contribution to Usage Postural System at Stripping Logopaedia Defects
ŠAFÁŘOVÁ, Michaela
This work focuses on the use of a postural system in logopedy (speech therapy). Based on theoretical knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology and logopedy, it explains the influence of a posture on respiration, phonation and articulation. The work mainly concerns the head region and phonatory system in connection with posture and respiration. The possibility is also suggested of incorporating the postural system into logopedic excercises in from of correct sitting position based on the so-called ?cogged wheel model?. The subject of this study was a group of five preschool children with cerebral palsy diagnosis under the care of a voluntary association Arpida in České Budějovice.

Current relationship of public to repatriated population of European lynx (Lynx lynx) in the Bohemian Forest.
ROCHOVÁ, Markéta
In the territory of the Czech Republic, Eurasian lynx was exterminated in the beginning of the 19th century. Thanks to the reintroduction programs it has been living here again since 1980s. The maximum of its population was at its peak in 1996; however, since then it has been falling, especially due to illegal hunting. There are about 70 lynxes in Šumava, which is our greatest group. Questionnaires were made for schools in order to evaluate different attitudes to protection of nature in different types of schools, questionnaires for public and gamekeepers were aimed at attitudes to lynxes. The aim of the research was to give recommendation to improve objective and correct foreknowledge of the inhabitants about lynxes in the surroundings aimed at youths and preschool-age children. 432 children and students, 26 gamekeepers and 130 inhabitants of Sušice and its surrounding were approached. Very good knowledge about lynxes was found out in the group of pupils and students; on the other side, gamekeepers have mostly negative relationship with these animals. The relationship between public and lynxes is mostly positive.

Kučerová, Věra ; Jebavá, Jana (advisor) ; Foubíková, Bohdana (referee)
Název: Muzikoterapie u dětí s dětskou mozkovou obrnou v přeškolním věku Music therapy for preschool children with infantile cerebral palsy Cíle: Cílem této práce je vytvořit program skupinových muzikoterapeutických sezení tak, aby došlo ke zlepšení koncentrace vybraných dětí s dětskou mozkovou obrnou.
