Data quality in the business information database environment

This master thesis is concerned with the choice of suitable data quality dimensions for a particular database of economy information and proposes and implements metrics for its assessment. The aim of this paper is to define the term data quality in the context of economy information database and possible ways to measure it. Based on dimensions suitable to observe, a list of metrics was created and subsequently implemented in SQL query language, alternatively in a procedural extension Transact SQL. These metrics were also tested with the use of real data and the results were provided with a commentary. The main asset of this work is its complex processing of the data quality topic, from theoretical term definition to particular implementation of individual metrics. Finally, this study offers a variety of both theoretical and practical directions fort this issue to be further researched.

Demonstrate the principles of application development for Android on the example of a simple game

Demonstration of the Android application development principles explained on a simple game is a thesis describing in it's theoretical part Android OS. It also briefly describes it's history and especially it's architecture emphasizing on my thesis' part relevant to the practi-cal part of my dissertation. It also focuses on the general applications' architecture princi-ples for this operating system. In the practical part of the thesis I tend to describe the application development principles for Android OS. This is achieved on an sample application. This sample application is an implementation of a text-based adventure game in the Java language. It uses SQLite data-base for storing the game data. There is a game framework which enables entering diffe-rent game data to the database and thus playing different games with divergent game plays.

Open data in the agrarian sector

This Master's Thesis Open Data in the Agrarian Sector is interested in the usage of open data in the particular sector of the national economy.
The aim of the search is to approach the theoretical background of the issue. The emphasis is predominantly put on the definition of open data and other related subjects.
The practical part covers the use of open data in the Czech agrarian sector. The main goal is to analyze the contemporary state of open data use of its selected institutions. After the analysis outcomes, there follows the practical demonstration of selected data opening in this sector (Grant Recipient List). The project prototype is focused on the transfer of selected data in the open format, its publication and visualization possibilities. The last part deals with the suggestion for the possibility of opening data for Czech agrarian institutions; its evaluation from some of the perspectives is also included.
The conclusion provides the general evaluation of the contemporary open data use and the summary of the given suggestion on their spread.

Development of mobile application for iOS platform

This Bachelor's thesis deal with the development of mobile applications for iOS operating system. Creating of application was based on theoretical knowledge gained in the theoretic part of the bachelor's thesis. It was made a comparison of development environment based on chosen scoring method. The Chosen development environment was Xcode IDE developer by Apple Inc. Then it was create a logical design that contains the layout and describes the functionality of the application. Based on logical design was created graphic design based on Material design by Google.
For the implementation of code was used modern object-oriented programming language Swift. Application allows users login via social network Facebook or via email. It ensures data storage in database FireBase and the users can access their data from other iOS devices. Application generate list of healthy life recipes from database and then keep user's informations for calculate the ideal day meal.

Feasibility study for the upgrade of LMS Moodle

Bachelor thesis "Feasibility study for the upgrade of LMS Moodle" deals with the analysis of data and database structures of Moodle versions 1.4 and 3.0, their mutual compatibility and the possibility of transferring from an older version to the new one. The theoretical part introduces the basic software components required for proper function of LMS Moodle environment, their characteristics with the possible justification for their selection and use. The practical part compares the specific differences in data and database structure of both versions, which ultimately appears to be completely different, i.e. non-transferrable from the old version to the new LMS Moodle. The practical part also step by step describes official upgrading procedure which is recommended by LMS Moodle developers. Thesis is concluded by summarizing the test results and subsequent recommendation of the general procedure for upgrading the website. This upgraded web environment could offer more modern look and use of the new features to all students, teachers and visitors.

Evaluation of Marketing Communication

This diploma thesis focuses on evaluation of marketing communication of a company operating in the automotive industry. The aim of the thesis it to characterize and evaluate current external communication of the authorized dealerships of the Peugeot brand and their communication with import in the area of marketing activities. Subsequently appropriate recommendations leading to their improvement will be determined. Recommendation comes up also in the area of usage of client database and with processing potential demand.
The literature search works with theoretical knowledge of the marketing area, marketing mix, communication mix, methods of budget and databases determination. Practical part uses findings to describe individual parts of marketing communication of the chosen company, which are subsequently evaluated by the individual subsidiaries of the Peugeot brand in the questionnaire survey. On the basis of answers -which are demonstrated by the charts- specific solutions are proposed.

Design and implementation of system for centralized management of software in a company

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the Microsoft .NET Framework, development environment Visual Studio and C # programming language issues.
The practical part of the thesis deals with the Software management issues in company and the subsequent implementation of a customized solution. In the first part the practical part focuses on analysis of the current process which is based on defined requirements of the proposal for optimizing the processes of the central management software. This process is designed using a multi-layer architecture and includes a user interface on the ASP.NET platform, a central database SQLite, the internal logic of the system implemented using Windows system service and proposing a centralized repository of the source data, application scripts and installation records. In the second part focuses on the design and implementation of individual parts of the system. In the last chapter the verification methodology of the created prototype is introduced.
The final evaluation summarizes the thesis, selected solutions and the results of the tests performed in a real environment. The created system allows the simple way to centrally manage applications in a company.

Web application development using ASP.NET

In its theoretical part, this bachelor thesis describes features and capabilities of Microsoft ASP.NET web framework, in particular one of its parts, ASP.NET MVC. It also deals with some other technologies and frameworks such as Razor, jQuery, Ajax and Entity Framework, which are commonly used in modern web application development. In practical part, the process of developing simple database web application is described in detail. There is described and explained practical use of MVC framework and other frameworks and technologies related to web development. Also, several development approaches and design patterns are demonstrated.

Development of Information System for Basic School or High School

A partial aim of this bachelor thesis is a summary of useful technology in the creation and
design of web applications. The main objective is the design and creation of an information
system for basic or high school. Problem has been solved by using the technology which
has been chosen by the author. Application design is created by using use case tools that
include UML diagram, along with the script and logical design. For the following
developments, has been chosen the ASP.NET Model-View-Controller approach, along
with the usual standards of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap. For data management
has been chosen MS SQL database technology. The project is produced mainly by using
technology from Microsoft, specifically Visual Studio 2015 and Microsoft SQL Server
2014 Management Studio. Final solutions provides to basic and high schools ability for
manage users of the system along with their data according to created and described
modules. The result of this work is prototype web application on a given topic, which is
prepared to use on the internet.
