This bachelor thesis deals with a piston design for a four-stroke spark-ignition engine with the power of 80kW. The aim of this thesis is to determine main proportions of the engine, the piston, the crank mechanism and to perform a solidity check of the critical piston crosscuts. The thesis also contains a design documentation of the piston for the spark-ignition engine.

This bachelor thesis deals with a primary proportions calculation design of the engine and a constructional piston design for four-stroke spark-ignition engine. This bechelor thesis deals with redesing of the mechanical shock absorber tester, which is situated in laboratory of designed department. First part focuses on the principle of shock absorbers and division. Next is something about devices, which are used to testing the shock absorbers. Because these equipments are a wealth of species, work is focusing on the devices, which tests excluded shock absorber only. The next part describes a few variants reconstruction of referenced tester. After that is chosen variant, which is the most simple, economic and production simple. This variant is after that numerically checked. In the end is educt, which describe the tester redesign.

This bachelor’s work describes a calculational project and design solution of a piston for 43 kW power output, four-stroke petrol engine and depicts basic sizes of this engine. The piston was constructed to be able to work in hard conditions that the piston faces in the combustion area. An important part of my thesis is the piston calculation of its resistancy by which we verify corectness of suggested sizes of the piston.
