Evaluation of employees in a small business

The bachelor thesis is focused on analysing the contemporary state of employee's evaluation in concrete small business XY s.r.o. continuing with designing the new system of evaluation and finally on description of implication. The aim of the thesis is creating the educating material for management of XY s.r.o.. Methods of data collecting are studied specialised literature, unstructured interviews with XY s.r.o.'s management, the analysis of internal documents and two questionnaires - for particular job analysis and system of employee's evaluation.

Process and technological security audit based on open source methodology

This thesis is focused on a process and technological security audit. First, the concept of this audit is described and then various approaches that deal with such issues are summarised. Furthermore, some criteria, that each process and technological security audit should meet, are set so that the result of an audit is of sufficient quality. Part of this thesis contains a procedure that states activities that are done before, during and after such audit. The main benefit of this thesis is an evaluation whether procedures and outcomes of the process and technological security audit based on an open source MetDK methodology achieve sufficient quality that is defined for this area. The work is based on a specific company (Jasa s.r.o.). The process and technological security audit based on MetDK methodology was executed in this company and the output of this activity contains a final audit report.

The thesis is focused especially on information ethics that is applied on communication in the Internet and by use of computing techniques. The thesis reveals principles that can affect and form ethical decisions of employer and its employees in contemporary information society. Also the thesis examines opportunities those allow to break the ethical and legal standards.

This thesis deals with the process of strategic management. The paper includes the description of its components, strategic analysis, suggestion of strategic alternatives and defining the strategy of the specific company. The work consists of two parts: theoretical and analytical. The first part covers the theoretical foundations related to the strategic management process and information about the specifics of strategic management in a small business, as well as the specifics of small business in Russia. The analytical part includes the description of the industry of the chosen company, an introduction to its history, determination of the mission, vision, objectives, the strategic analysis of the company, proposal of possible strategic alternatives and determination of the resulting strategy. The goal of the paper is to define explicitly the current strategy of the chosen company as well as to suggest other strategic alternatives of company's survival and development.
Business plan - founding a tea room

The aim of this master's thesis is to draw up a business plan for founding a small tea room and review its feasibility and viability in practice. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part and includes three chapters. The first theoretical chapter deals with a business environment in the Czech Republic. Basic business terms, Czech legal forms and legislative requirements for food business are explained, specified and outlined here. The second theoretical chapter is focused on the purpose, principles of processing and structure of business plan. Practical part of thesis is based on this chapter and contains the real business plan for founding the tea room "Čajovna U plné konvičky" in the Prague's district Nusle.

The Master's Thesis deals with human resources management in small businesses. The theoretical part introduces small business' specifics in human resources and describes personal processes in small businesses. The aim of the theoretical part is to provide theoretical framework for the practical part of the thesis. In the practical part the small company is described including the description of personal processes in the company. The goal of the thesis is to analyse personal processes in the company, evaluate them and to create recommendations for management of the company. These recommendations are presented in the second part of the practical section of the thesis and if applied should lead to an improvement of the company's human resources management.
Setting of human resources management principles as a result of transformation of family business into a small company

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse and set up a human resources management principles in a company that was transformed from family business into small firm. The analysis is based on theoretical and practical knowledge and all the on-going human resources processes (their weaknesses and strengths) are described in this thesis. According to interviews with representatives of the company staffing system and appraisal system is developed. All the other human resources processes suit the firm quite well and only some suggestions for their improving are provided.

This thesis discusses information security management and information security management systems in small businesses. The goal and prospective added value of this thesis is to provide with a set of practical comments and recommendations for those who implement and/or administer an information security management system in the delicate environment of a small enterprise. First part of the thesis contains theoretical definition of information security and information security management systems. Also, this part describes standards relevant to this thesis. Second part defines the concept of "small business" and discusses possible options of designing ISMS in such business so that it complies with standards mentioned above and is an effective as well as affordable solution which does not demand excessive amount of company's resources. Third and final part of this thesis is analysis of ISMS of a specific company that fits the definition of small business -- BDO IT a.s.
