Possibilities of dispersed reinforcement for lightweight concrete
Novotná, Aneta ; Žítt, Petr (referee) ; Láník, Jaromír (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals with some problems associated with utilisation of lightweight concrete from the porous aggregates in the load – carrying structures. The thesis focuses on the possibilities of the increase of the cement composites toughness using dispersed reinforcement. Lightweight concretes were reinforced with a combination of different lengths of polypropylene fibers Forta Ferro. There were used polypropylene fibers of three lengths 19, 38, 54 mm. The thesis is divided into theoretical, experimental and static part.
Protection of highspeed communication systems
Smékal, David ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with 128–bit AES data encryption and its implementation in FPGA network card using VHDL programming language. The theoretical part explains AES encryption and decryption, its individual steps and operating modes. Further was described the VHDL programming language, development environment Vivado, FPGA network card Combo–80G and configurable framework NetCOPE. The practical part is the implementation of AES–128 in VHDL. A simulation was used to eliminate errors, then the synthesis was performed. These steps were made using Vivado software. Last step of practical part was testing of synthesized firmware on COMBO–80G card. Total of 4 projects were implemented in FPGA card. Two of them were AES encryption and decryption with ECB mode and another two describe the encryption and decryption with CBC mode.
Electrical motors parameters identification using subspace based methods
Jenča, Pavol ; Veselý, Ivo (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
The electrical motors parameters identification is solved in this master’s thesis using subspace based methods. Electrical motors are simulated in Matlab/Simulink interactive environment, specifically permanent magnet DC motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor. Identification is developed in Matlab interactive environment. Different types of subspace algorithms are used for the estimation of parameters. Results of subspace parameters estimation are compared with least squares parameters estimation. The thesis describes subspace method, types of subspace algorithms, used electrical motors, nonlinear approach of identification and comparation of parameters identification.
Optical fibres and their polarization effect
Klesnil, Ondřej ; Dostál, Otto (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This project describes the fundamental concepts and basic theory of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in optical fibers. There are described basic the relation between Jones vectors and Stokes vectors, rotation matrices, the definition and representation of PMD vectors, the laws of infinitesimal rotation. After the introduction the first conception with bases of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in optical fibers, they have become an important body of knowledge basic for the design of high-capacity optical communication systems. PMD effects are linear electromagnetic propagation phenomena occurring in so-called “single-mode“fibers. Despite their name, these fibers support two modes of propagation distinguished by their polarization. Because of optical birefringence in the fiber, the two modes travel with different group velocities, and the random change of this birefringence along the fiber length results in random coupling between the modes. With current practical transmission technology the resulting PMD phenomena lead to pulse distortion and system impairments that limit the transmission capacity of the fiber. I describe different ways of measuring PMD in optical fibre, PMD compensation techniques and analyse PMD results in optical fibres.
Study of electrical properties composites with nanoparticles
Lorenc, Aleš ; Havlíček, Svatopluk (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
This work deals with properties of electro insulating varnishes and composite materials. The general aim is to study the influence of nanoparticles on dielectric properties of electro insulating varnishes.
Industrial state indicator
Růžička, Zdenek ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
Diploma work deals with industrial display systems, indicators and their proposal. These systems are used everywhere that is necessary to mediate transmission of information. Own proposal of indicator is very specific and depends on given application and used display. In practice there is possible to use a few types of displays but in this diploma work there are used only sedmisegmental and matrix. Common component of proposal is microcontroller. No less significat and important part of the proposal is a choice of interface and communication protocol. The correct choice of hardware that is completed with software we will obtain complete status indicator.
Optimization of interfaces in filled dental composites
Gavroňová, Ivana ; Bystřický, Zdeněk (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the particulate composite materials, especially dental composite materials and their properties, production methods and possible adjustments in either the particles themselves as a filler or modification of the interface between the filler and the matrix. In this bachelor's thesis also examines testing properties of particulate composite materials.
The use of composite materials in civil aviation
Nožička, Radek ; Molliková, Eva (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
This thesis is written in a research form and it’s focused on the usage of composite materials in civil aviation with the emphasis on the structures of airliners. The first chapter deals with the basic classification of composites and the description of the particular kinds of matrices and reinforcements. The second chapter gives a brief introduction to the history of the usage of composite materials at the airliners, decribes the classification of the aircraft structure, discusses the most widely employed composite materials in aircraft structures and offers an overview of various manufacturing methods.
Mechanical properties of fiber reinforced composites for automotive applications
Bayer, Adam ; Žídek, Jan (referee) ; Jančář, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with studying mechanical features of fiber composites. As a matrix was chosen PMMA and as reinforcement was chosen glass fabric. Theoretical part sums up contemporary issues of polymer composites in automotive industry such as their production techniques and methods of impregnation. In experimental part were prepared samples by block polymerization of 30 % solution PMMA in monomer with initiator by 65° Celsius warmth oath, when was fabric directly unfolded in pre-polymer solution. On these samples were executed tensile tests by testing device Zwick and these samples were compared with results of theoreticaly calculated values.
