Assessing the impact of drought stress on winter wheat canopy by hermes crop growth model
Wimmerová, Markéta ; Pohanková, Eva ; Kersebaum, K. C. ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Žalud, Zdeněk ; Hlavinka, Petr
The main aim of this study was evaluate a drought stress effect on winter wheat development, growth (leaf area index), soil moisture and yields. Simultaneously, the ability of Hermes crop growth model to simulate drought stress response was tested. The field trial was established at Domanínek station (Bystřice nad Pernštejnem district, Czech Republic) in 2014. Mobile rain-out shelters for precipitation reduction were installed on the plots of winter wheat in May 2015. Results of this study showed that model is able to reproduce well a soil moisture content and to certain extent the drought stress for grain yields of winter wheat. Using the rain-out shelters (from 19 May to harvest on 6 August 2015), real winter wheat yields were reduced by 1.7 t/ha. The model was able to estimate the average yield with a deviation of 0.15 t/ha (6%) for no stressed variant. Model underestimated the yields for sheltered variant with a difference 0.67 t/ha (71%) on average against observed yields.
Applying different row spacing at cultivation of corn for silage
KUKLÍK, Ondřej
This thesis focuses on the application of row spacing when planting corn for silage. The evaluation was based experiment on a little parcel at the altitude of 400 metres under the management of cooperative farm Krasna Hora. The attempt was aimed at comparing the yield of corn silage grown in one row (0.75 meters; classic row), twin row (0.75 meters) and close row (0.37 meters). The results in 2015 reflect drought, which appeared during the vegetation period. The one-year results showed differences in the yields of biomass and contents of biomass dry matter dependent on the type of row. For best results he reached close row.
Appreciate the Financial Statements of the Limited Company
Teinerová, Ivana ; Borýsková,, Zuzana (referee) ; Borýsková,, Zuzana (referee) ; Fedorová, Anna (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the examination of a financial statement of a limited liability company. The thesis examines the 2007 statement of M + J – školní jídelna, s.r.o. The first part concentrates on legal requirements connected with the issue, and generally describes the process of creating a financial statement. The second practical part deals with the particular selected company. The 2007 financial statement is considered on the basis of collected information, individual statements related for the relevant period and the process of producing the financial statement.

Matochová, Tamara ; Měsíčková, Michaela Vítek (referee) ; Fojtů, Kateřina (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with an evaluation of the financial health of the company Bosch Rexroth, spol. s r.o. Using various methods of financial analysis evaluates performance and financial health of the company. At the end of this thesis the possible proposals for future strategy are suggested.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals For Its Improvement
Fridrichová, Hana ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (referee) ; Žižlavský, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the actual situation of the company by SWOT analysis, Porter's five forces analysis and selected indicators of financial analysis. The problems identified by these indicators are further elaborated, compared with competitive company operating in the same branch and used a propsal of improvements. This proposal should contribute to better performance appraising company in the future.
Maize growing in the Czech Republic
HOVORKA, Jaroslav
This bachelor thesis deals with the cultivation and use of maize (Zea mays) in the Czech Republic over the past 24 years. The work is written like a literature review. The maize is irreplaceable crop in human nutrition and it is widely used for feeding, industrial use and for energy purposes. Thanks to wide range of hybrids the maize is grown in different climates, with the specific goal of growing and high yield potential. Maize is widely grown crop in our country. There have been changes in the cultivation and use of maize from 1990 to 2013. Thanks to these changes, the Czech Republic became an exporter of maize grain. From the collected data and information, it can be stated that sowing areas are growing. This fact contributed to the construction of agricultural biogas plants, because the maize is the major substrate. Agrotechnics of maize is continually developing and its changes lead to reduction in soil erosion and to higher returns. Other changes that have occurred in agrotechnics, sowing areas, yields and the reasons for those changes are solved in this work.
The fibre plant growing in Czech Republic
ŠÍMOVÁ, Barbora
This bachelor thesis deals with the cultivation of fiber plants in the Czech Republic, which are closely linked to the cultural history of mankind and agriculture. They are widely used in the textile and automotive, construction, food or cosmetics. Their main advantage is absolutely clean and waste-free use. As a result of the reduction of subsidies and import of cheap, mostly Asian, textiles there is a decrease in sown areas and declining production of flax and hemp. Growing these plants in the Czech Republic declined to the point of loss.
Remotely sensed NDVI as a support tool for agricultural drouhgt assessment
Hlavinka, Petr ; Semerádová, Daniela ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Lukas, V. ; Bohovic, R. ; Balek, J. ; Wardlow, B. ; Hayes, M. ; Tseagaye, T. ; Žalud, Zdeněk
Th e main aim of the submitted study was to introduce how the remotely sensed NDVI (Normalized Diff erence Vegetation Index) could be used for agricultural drought assessment within the Czech Republic. Th e relationship between NDVI values and observed yields of spring barley and winter wheat was analyzed for selected districts. Moreover the ability of NDVI (at district level in the form of seasonal greenness – SG) to explain the water balance or drought occurrence and severity was tested. For this purpose a data mining technique was used. A relative form of the Palmer Drought Severity Index (rPDSI) was used as a dependent variable to indicate drought occurrence. A Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), percentage of average SG (PASG), Start of Season Anomaly (SOSA) and district identifi cation were used as independent variables. MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) observations from the Terra satellite were used as a source of NDVI. Th e situation within 6 selected districts (Olomouc, Přerov, Znojmo, Břeclav, Žďár nad Sázavou and Havlíčkův Brod) during the period from 2000 to 2012 was analyzed. Promising results were achieved, so practical use of this approach (e.g. for spatial and temporal assessment of drought stress within the vegetation) could be expected.
Cereals growing in the Czech Republic 1990-2012
HÁVOVÁ, Nikol
This bachelor theses deals with the cultivation of cereals in the Czech Republic for the last 22 years. Cereals are still among the important crops of our country. From 1990 to 2012 there were changes in the cultivation and use of the 1st cereal group. The changes that have occurred in agricultural technology, in the use of varieties, sown areas and yields and the reasons for those changes addressed in this work.
Oil-crops growing in the Czech Republic 1990-2012
HÁVOVÁ, Šárka
The bachelor thesis is the cultivation of oilseeds in 1990 - 2012. The work deals with the biological characteristics of selected species of oil, the quality of oil and its usage. In the other chapters describes the development of crop varieties, cultivation areas, yields and changes in agricultural technology from 1990 to 2012. The oil is described in the work of five major crop producing in the Czech Republic are oilseed rape, white mustard, sunflower, poppy and flax.
