Design of domestic energy supply system using renewable energy sources
Gaborčík, Michal ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of utilization of renewable energy sources for domestic power supply. In theoretical part is created research about available technologies using solar collectors, photovoltaic systems and heat pumps. In practical part there are calculated expected values of energy needed for heating of family house, domestic hot water heating and electrical consumption of appliances. These values are bases for system design using air to water heat pump for heating and domestic hot water heating. As far as photovoltaic system is concerned there is comparative design of systems using polycrystalline and thin-layer technology. At the end both designed systems are evaluated from technical and economical points of view.
Increasing the electric power of photovoltaic power plant connected to distribution network in a given area
Klobučník, Jozef ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with increase of the power of photovoltaic power plant Horné Túrovce. There are two proposed possibilities how to increase the power. The theoretical introduction of the bachelor’s thesis is focused on the description of the main parts of the photovoltaic power plants. There are the technologies of the photovoltaic cells production as well as components of the photovoltaic system stated. There is further description of the photovoltaic panel’s function, principle and types of inverters, the impact of the photovoltaic power plants on the distribution network. There is the working procedure of connecting the new source and the technology of the power output to the distribution network described. The bachelor’s thesis provides technical description of the selected photovoltaic power plant Horné Túrovce and technical proposal to increase the output of photovoltaic power plant Horné Túrovce designed for both variants. The fourth section deals with methods of verifying connectivity of the photovoltaic power plants to the distribution networks and with the bad impacts on the distribution network. In the last part is a practical calculation to verify the possibility to connect production to the distribution network after the increase of the power for both variants and calculation of the bad impacts on the distribution network.
Renovation of a family house
Červinka, Michal ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with the plan of reconstruction of the house in an effort to get closer to "near zero building". Total heat loss along with calculation of the cost of the house operation and the energy performance of buildings were computed for the given house. Then we have enclosed suggestions of individual methods of building´s insulation (replacing of windows, doors and gates, insulation of exterior walls, roof and ceiling between floor and attic) and a draft of a new technical building services (forced ventilation with heat recovery, photovoltaic system and heat pump). Furthermore, the suitability of the original heating system was evaluated and the also the energy performance for the renovated building was analyzed during the reconstruction. An economic evaluation was calculated for each method of reconstruction, together with the new green subsidy programme. At the end of the dissertation is drawn up the economic evaluation of the whole proposed reconstruction, together with an assessment, what class of the building we have achieved according to its the energy intensity.
Ventilation and heating in a retrofitted farmhouse
Čoček, Bedřich ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of thesis is to design the heating and ventilation system for reconstructed part of the farmhouse. Thesis contains calculation of the object heat output, from which the design of the heating system is based. This includes to choice of heat sources, heaters and others components of the system. Thesis also contains hydraulic regulation of heating system. Design of equal-pressure ventilation system includes calculation of required amount of air, choice of unit, air conduit draft and options of terminal components and their settings. In the framework of this thesis is also designed simple photovoltaic system for warming hot water. There was created relevant drawing documentation for design of systems.
Type project of electrical system for family house making use of photovoltaic system
Straka, Michal ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with electro instalation with using photovoltaic system. First we explain the principle functions of photovoltaic panels, the basic concepts and issues of photovoltaic systems. Next, we define the various components of photovoltaic systems. The result of this work will be implemented own proposal for electricity and photovoltaic system on the roof of a house.
Using renewable energy sources
Vaňko, Adam ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
Thesis deals with the issue of renewable energy sources. It contains the description of their usage at present as well as the possibilities of their installation. When dealing with the individual types of sources the thesis states their advantages, disadvantages and the facts concerning their further development. Technical development brings us new and perspective types of renewable energy sources, the description of some of them can be found in the thesis as well. The second part of the thesis is focused on the solution of electric power supply for a holiday cottage. Authonomy photovoltaic system is suitable for its application. The system is designed to have an ability to supply electrical units in the cottage during the whole year. To be able to consider profitability of the photovoltaic system installation the thesis contains the project of low voltage energy branch connection. This branch line of 1200 m in length is properly designed and the thesis states its capital costs as well. Financial comparison of the photovoltaic system costs on the one hand and the costs of low voltage branch line on the other hand in the next 30 years of usage proves the profitability of the photovoltaic system.
Energy efficient terraced house
Král, Jakub ; Bečkovská, Tereza (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis is a design of a new energy efficient terraced house in the gap site. Building has two dwelling unit of category 4+kitchenette and 6+ kitchenette. Building has a cellar, two floors and an attic. The cellar structures and horizontal structures are made of reinforced concrete. Sand-lime bricks are used for masonry. The building is covered with gabled roof with timber roof truss. In this building there are used rainwater and renewable energy in a form of electrical energy made by photovoltaic panels.
Proposal for power consumption optimization of photovoltaic power plant

This master’s thesis is focused on opportunities of optimization of electric power consumption from photovoltaic power plant. In theoretical part are presented basic principles and possibilities of photovoltaic system connection. It continues with an overview of backup systems and types of batteries. Practical part is about prediction of production and consumption of electric power, possibilities of power management and optimization. Next chapter deals with battery life cycle and their suitability for photovoltaic system. The last part of this thesis is the quantification of the stored electric energy economic value.
Photovoltaic system for RAPS applications
Nevoral, Miroslav ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
The beginning of this work presents the basic principles of photovoltaic cells, their advantages and disadvantages. There is also an overview of photovoltaic systems. The next part takes a closer look on lead-acid accumulators followed by a practical part regarding the measurement of VA characteristics. The main goal of this work is to assemble an experimental PV system. It will consist of a PV module, an accumulator (consisting of two cells connected in series and producing an overall voltage of 5V) and of a variable load (assembled from nineteen resistors with resistance varying from tens to hundreds of Ohms). This system is connected to a computer that runs the control software which was created using the VEEPro 8.0 simulation environment. The measurements can be taken in two ways. Either the operator can select the load resistor combinations manually, or the operator only launches the measurement and the load is selected automatically by the software. This way we obtain an automatized workplace for measuring VA characteristics of photovoltaic panels.
