Blood vessel segmentation and modeling in fundus images
Václavík, Jan ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Studies of the vascular tree in the retina have applications not only in the medical field but also biometrics. The mathematical description of the retinal vasculature could help facilitate and improve the diagnosis of certain diseases, their automatic localization or to accelerate the identification and verification of individuals. The aim is to design and develop an algorithm that will automatically approximate major retinal vessels by parabolic, linear and kvartic functions. The main part of this thesis is therefore devoted to this issue, including vascular segmentation using Gabor filters, morphological erosion, thresholding, skeletonization and the resulting optimization of the approximation model. The quality of the produced algorithm is discussed in the summary.
Teaching aids for 2D computer graphics
Malina, Jakub ; Průša, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
In this master’s thesis we focus on the basic properties of computer curves and their practical applicability. We explain how the curve can be understood in general, what are polynomial curves and their composing possibilities. Then we focus on the description of Bezier curves, especially the Bezier cubic. We discuss in more detail some of fundamental algorithms that are used for modelling these curves on computers and then we will show their practical interpretation. Then we explain non uniform rational B-spline curves and De Boor algorithm. In the end we discuss topic rasterization of segment, thick line, circle and ellipse. The aim of master’s thesis is the creation of the set of interactive applets, simulating some of the methods and algorithm we discussed in theoretical part. This applets will help facilitate understanding and will make the teaching more effective.
Measuring of Vehicle Instant Velocity
Štencel, Jakub ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The theoretical part of this paper summarizes the methods for motion analysis in an image. Inspected in detail are the methods used for motion detection in the image sequences. The practical part is focused on finding the significant points in the image (the targeting reticles on the body of the vehicle) which are then used to calculate the speed of the vehicle.
Measurements results assessment and emission limits
Čech, Martin ; Jedlička, Filip (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
Main content of this task is summary and explanation of main methods, which can be used to evaluation the results from measuring of pollutants in combustion gases. The way which should be most acceptable for our datas will be consequently used in a simply example. There will be mentioned the importace of chosing the entering datas and their dependence on outer conditions. Another chapter will be devoted to emission standarts of main pollutants in Czech republic and in chosen world countries too. There will be mentioned the historical developement of these standarts and hypothesis to the future about this question too.
Volume changes of selected cementitious composites: tests evaluation
Machačová, Denisa ; Lehký,, David (referee) ; Keršner, Zbyněk (advisor)
The topic of bachelor thesis is to evaluate experimentally observed volume changes of selected specimens of cement composites in the early stages of solidification and hardening. The material of tested specimens was ordinary and lightweight concrete. This work focuses on determining an approximation of the relative deformation of these specimens using a numerical model in the program shrcec.
Efficient likelihood evaluation of state-space representations
DeJong, David N. ; Dharmarajan, Hariharan ; Liesenfeld, Roman ; Moura, Guilherme ; Richard, Jean-Francois
Writers develop a numerical procedure that facilitates efficient likelihood evaluation in applications involving non-linear and non-Gaussian state-space models. The procedure employs continuous approximations of filtering densities, and delivers unconditionally optimal global approximations of targeted integrands to achieve likelihood approximation.

Creation model of summer course in kinetic activities for students programme Health Education in locality Šumava
KRANKUŠ, Lubomír
This thesis is localize on creation tourist and educational rate for student`s of Health Education in summer half in region national park of the Bohemian Fores. The theoretical part is to introduce concepts that describe the training course, or with which it is linked to a certain extent. Discussed here is the movement, its significance and some examples of physical activities, especially in the countryside. The movement-related leisure activities, education and experience, not least, personality instructor. Chapter practical part includes the creation of tourist, cultural and educational exchange.
Adaptivní dopředné řízení
Kárný, Miroslav
Feed-forward controllers are important in a range of control problems. Their importance is obvious in tasks in which potential of feedback control is limited, for instance, in systems with long transportation delays. Formally, their design can be approached by a standard methodology of optimal stochastic control. It can be consistently performed by combining Bayesian learning and dynamic programming. This formal solution can, however, rarely be converted into a computationally feasible algorithms. Thus, various approximations are searched for. The current report deals with a specific type of approximation based on a projection of optimal /emph{anticipating} control strategy to a non-anticipating one. This approximation way suits to the feed-forward control in which the selected system inputs influence the state of the controller but not the system-related data used in the feed-forward loop.
